So far, three months through ownership, this laptop is good. For the price, $869, this was a good deal. The computer runs fast and starts up quickly. I mostly use this computer for low intensity school work. Another person may have a different experience. The audio is clear, and the display is good. The battery life is decent. I think at the lowest screen resolution on power saver mode it might last around twelve hours. But I am not sure.
I knocked off a star for two reasons: 1) the computer has frozen randomly a couple of times; and 2) part of the screen broke.
The frozen computer issues did not bother me too much because it wasn't during something important, and I didn't lose any data.
However, a few months back I went to close the screen lid and part of the screen cracked. A bunch of different colors spread across the screen. After a few days, about 1 1/2 inches of my screen is completely black and unuseable. The rest is clear without color distortions. So, I either have to check if a plug came loose (meaning I have to buy the right screw set to open this laptop up), or I need to buy a new screen (somewhere around $50).
This all happened less than one year since I bought this laptop, so I'm a bit disappointed.
Sadly, computer had a faulty component and had to be returned within 10 days. Either a power source or the motherboard failed completely. When it was working it was a good little machine, ran quietly and cool.
