Garmin Fenix 5 series is a great series of watches. Be careful who you buy from

I did not discount any stars because of the following vendor rant ;-) Watch is really nice if you get the right one. DO NOT BUY FROM "GTR GROUP". I bought my watch from this group which Amazon ships directly for. Typically the first settings screen will have English listed first but this one always wanted to use an Asian language. It was also missing the yellow band that typically comes with it. I didn't think much of it and Amazon was great about compensating for the band, but I started to have other small issues. I just found out this version of the watch is APAC or Asian Pacific Version that GTR GROUP sold me. Not sure if it is supposed to have the yellow band and they took it out or if the APAC version doesn't come with one. Either way...I do not recommend using them. They say they need to contact their Garmin rep to see what happened, but the skeptic in me doesn't buy it.
As for the watch..The Garmin Fenix 5 series is expensive but really nice. Built to last for the most part. It is a sports/outdoor watch with smart features added on that work nicely on the iPhone. Make no mistake though...this is not a "Smart Watch" like Apple Watch or Samsung Gear. They are smart watches with sports features added on. Quite a difference. I came back to Garmin from the Apple Watch Series 2. Apple Watch is a great watch, but I did not use near the features it provides and wished it had more activity monitoring etc built in. This is where the Garmin fits in.
