Some have said this is a better home theater sub

As an F12 owner the Bic Acoustech PL200 II sub was disappointing. Mainly purchased it because of the published range. Tests with Room EQ Wizard and a calibrated mic indicated a steep drop off at 50hz. We tried lots of crossovers, phasing, room positions and orientations for the sub.
The screenshot shows three SPL curves: Speakers Only [Klipsh RM14-M] (purple line), Sub+Speakers [no eq baseline] (green line), Sub+Speakers [equalized] (pink line).
You will see even after applying full EQ, we could not really bring up the low curve. If we did boost the low end, the unit tended to drone and sound boomy - it also has this issue with some music when not boosted. Some have said this is a better home theater sub, this may be true. Overall did not meet the needs of my listening room.
