I’ve had a VERY mixed experience with this product. I own four of these and use two at my primary residence and two at a vacation home. For me, it tends to track my sleep very well. For my partner, not nearly as well. I have a feeling it has to do with body weight/size/heart rate, as my partner’s recordings tend to be much less accurate.
Where this product really falls short is the software and support. First issue: daylight savings time. For months now, the timing has been off because it wasn’t able to adjust to daylight savings time. I’ve now contacted support twice about this and they’ve instructed me to reset, and I’ve followed their instructions and it doesn’t work. I can’t begin to tell you how many times I’ve done a factory reset to try to get this corrected. No luck. In essence, I’ve given up. We’re both tech people in our house, so we’re used to trouble shooting. But in this case, I’m convinced this is a software bug that they simply cannot fix. I even gave support our serial numbers and they’ve said they’ve re-programmed our units with a new time zone and that still hasn’t worked.
Next, you are able to modify your sleep tracking by adjusting times it records as sleep, but this is an “all or nothing” proposition. You can only change all the times it senses you as awake to time you slept. My partner, for example, might wake up for two hours at night and be reading, and it records him as sleeping. But he is unable to modify just that block of time. So this feature needs some work.
Another flaw that most won’t experience, but yet tech support hasn’t been able to fix, is multiple users in multiple homes. Again, with one in each house, we have to do a factory reset when we travel between each house and switch profiles. This is so ridiculous because it could very easily be fixed with a software update to allow you to use more than one in different locations.
Overall though, one of us experiences really good tracking (although is super annoyed that the timing is displayed wrong for 3/4 of the year during daylight savings time), while the other reports rather poor tracking. Both of us hate dealing with tech support because it takes days for them to respond and they really don’t help you except for telling you to do a factory reset — which like I said, we have done hundreds of times.
Oh....and did I mention of the four we’ve had one of them died and was replaced under warranty.
