Quality is great, images clear, ITS IS A SUBSCRIPTION PLAN type of deal. I don't recall seeing that in description. THIS HAS 1 FLAW...... Anytime you lose power or connection to internet, you'll will never reconnect to camera again trust me. YOU WILL have to remove camera from bulb socket and reinsert and it will work. May not be an issue for some but I have this looking to my driveway and its high above ground. SO WHENEVER YOU LOSE CONNECTION YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SEE FROM CAMERA OR EVEN RECORD. If this happens while you're at work or something then you will not see anything or record until you remove power source from camera. Thats only problem I've had.

This seemed like a great idea for us, to have a camera facing our driveway. It arrived overnight, great. However, when going to install it thru the iPhone app you discover that there is a software issue with the latest iOS 12.4 and that you will not be able to use you up to dat diphone to instal. You will have to find a 11.6 or 11.8 ipad that you don't update as often. Also they fail to tell you that you wifi might not be able to extend to outdoors. Where you will be using the light. I had to order a router extension pod and still waiting for it to arrive. Another 119.99 investment on top of the cost of the bulb. I called the manufacturer and they stated to get the 2nd generation light bulb, as it has a small antenna, they did not offer to send me a replacement or exchange it. They said to send back to amazon, and but the 2nd generation bulb. yes, really!
So my question is why do they continue to sell the fist generation if it has these issues. Overall good idea, but the additional expense and troubleshooting not worth it for me.

Long story short.
I like:
1. Good picture quality on the phone screen.
2. The signal is transmitted without delay.
3. The night image great in absolute darkness.
4. I like the ability to hear the sound if I turn on the microphone of the camera.
5. I really like the ability to turn on the light of the lamp remotely from a mobile phone and the ability to adjust the brightness.

Many people are outraged that the additional options work only for a monthly payment, but it does not annoy me. Each company is looking for an opportunity to get more profit, it is reasonable.

I don't like only one option:
1. The signal is not stable. Sometimes it is absent for several hours, but then again it works well for several days in a row.
Anyway, I am satisfied with the free options, it covers all I need.

The Gen1 Snap Floodlight Cam does NOT have AUTO lighting. You can control the light with a timer thru the app, and you can dim or turn it off thru the app. However, the light will NOT automatically illuminate with motion. It will NOT auto on/off with dusk/dawn; and it will NOT auto on with motion. Those feature are only available with the Gen2 Snap Floodlight. Otherwise, it's totally cool product with a great camera. It does sense motion. And it will auto night vision. Just not auto light in any way. If you're looking for the Gen2 it has wi-fi antennas that look like eyebrows.

Love the picture quality and motion detection what I don't like is the silent notification process it only sent a snap alert emblems but you have to be looking at your phone to know you have gotten alert. It is a quiet alert by this time a package could have disappeared from your front door or human could be gone by the time you check. If I'm looking for a package delivery I have to constantly check my phone.

Difficult setup, poor motion detection and night vision is spot, not flood

I've connected over a 2 dozen WiFi home IoT devices and this was the most difficult to get setup on my WiFi network. Once setup, it does work, however, the night vision light is a spot, not a flood, so when someone looks at the camera, you can't see any facial features, only useful to see a figure or item, not to identify who is in the video. The motion detection is greatly flawed, it either triggers by any small flying insect or the wind blowing, i.e. nothing visible moving in the frame, or when reducing the motion sensitivity, a human can walk through the frame, day or night and no video is recorded. I would have returned the item, however, the most recent motion sensitivity issues were found after the return period. I've also not found any other combination flood light and security camera to replace this item.

The concept of this was really nice. Replace my flood light and I have a security camera. Sadly it sucks as both. Firstly the flood lamp is only manually on or off via the app or operates on a schedule it is NOT motion activated.

The security camera part is awful. The picture is nice and clear but the software sucks. It will pick up a random bush blowing in the wind as motion but neglects to catch people walking around right in front of it as motion. It will record them but you have to manually go find when somebody was there by watching the entire video for the day. The motion clips are only for 15 seconds and seem random. Like it will record a motion clip of a parked car but it will not have a clip of the car parking or leaving.

The night vision is nonexistent for anything farther than 5 feet from the camera. The IR illuminators are a joke.

Do not buy.

I love how easy this was to set up,it took just a few minutes and it was up and running. The picture quality is great as is the amount of coverage. I like that you can specify a particular area for motion.
At times the motion detection is sensitive even with adjusting but not bothersome enough to dislike the product.
You can control everything from your phone app making it very convenient as well as being able to monitor wether you’re home or away.
My one negative would be the microphone, you can hear things very well but when you speak it is barely audible outside. I am still trying to figure out if that is something to do with my phone and iPad or if it is the unit.
The light is adjustable for brightness and gives off a lot of light if needed.
All in all I am very pleased with my purchase and would recommend this product.

Finally a frustration free security camera!

Outdoor security camera is a nice thing to have. But it's very tricky to be installed. I really don't want to drill a hole on my stucco wall to get a camera powered. And finally I found something like SNAP online. Yes, these days, you can image or dream about any product you need and find it online.

I set it up indoor, just in case it doesn't work. I don't want to climb the ladders for nothing. The process is straight forward. The installation part is amazing. I replaced my old floodlight under the roof and twist this SNAP on within seconds. Done!

The overall video quality is pretty good. True 1080P quality, night vision is decent. Actually the LED will change the night vision into color video. 24 Hour video storage is a little bit too short. But it's free. I'm still debating whether I would go with 7 days.

Motion detection does not work for my front yard.. Too many shadows from tree branches and bugs flying by the camera at night.. Even on the lowest sensitivity. Also don't like that the light is not motion activated, but works on a timer. I have been using human detection.. But that feature stopped working this week. All this said, the image quality is good, and it's extremely easy to set up. The app is user friendly but is fairly limited for a paid subscription service..
