5 star for the laptop! i use it for daily use office laptop, sometimes for gaming also!, the fan noises is really quiet when using at the office, running at max speed is not that noisy, considering you running at turbo mode. the thin bezel does give you a really good view and the thickness is excellent for travel, light and compact. performance is expected to run everything you throw at this machine!
I actually searched high and low for a good gaming laptop with good performance and that wouldn't run hot. I wanted an RTX laptop with a 144hz screen st the minimum that was thin and lite. I'm a PC gamer and have become accustomed to high frame rates. Playing less than 60 hz now just feels bad. After trying an Alienware m17 and a Asus ROG Scar II, I was unsatisfied. Both ran pretty hot and both did not perform as high as they should with the video cards they had equipped. The Bestbuy guy kind of rolled his eyes when I came once again to exchange it.
This time i got this laptop. I love the sleek, non-obnoxious look, weight and thin profile. It also runs pretty cool compared to the others. The performance seemed good for or most games, but weirdly enough, not all of them. Once I dug a bit, I found out that it only has 1 stick of 16 GB RAM instead of 2 8 gig sticks. This meant the laptop could not run in dual channel memory mode which hurt its performance a bit. So I just purchased an additional 16 GB sodimm to install. But it was NOT a trivial process to install like it is on most laptops. The ram modules are not on the bottom of the mainboard. That meant pulling out the entire mb just to add a bit of RAM. Sure, the ssd slots are easy to get to (and this bad boy has THREE slots, two of which can be run as a NVME SSD raid array for truly sick storage speed), but not the RAM.
Removing the MB was a very delicate process because of all the intertwining pieces and parts that had to be carefully removed and replaced once the RAM was in. I recommend watching a YouTube video or getting a pro to do it for you.
With that RAM in (and the extra SSD I added for storage), this thing is an absolute beast. I run VR games and almost everything on ultra settings without breaking a sweat. And the screen is gorgeous and fast.
