My new addition to the family...cat meets iROBOT
Reviewed in the United States on March 21, 2019
Our newest member of the family has adjusted well so far to our lifestyle, the jury is still out as to whether the cat approves, but on a good note, no major drama! I have high hopes that this little work horse will be able to keep up with the pet hair, and follow a cleaning schedule, and routine on a weekly basis. Set up was easy, however linking it to my wireless program was a bit more difficult, but iROBOT customer care was a great help. Running the i7 takes a few times in order for iROBOT to map the layout of the rooms. Finding a "home" for the iROBOT was not as easy in my home, as I had to find a location where the machine could get in and out of with ease, and not be in the way. The picture shows the approximate space, (4' to the left of it, and 3' in front), that iROBOT has adjusted to in order to doc with the dirt disposal container. I now find myself running around the house before I press iCLEAN on the app, to insure that no obstacles are in the way for a ROBOT! On an important note, if you have a pet, make sure that you pick up the water bowl before you send your happy little robot off to do chores. iROBOT traveled over tile, wood, and wool rugs that are throughout my home with relative ease. I anxiously waited, as it tried to transverse from a wood floor to a thick wool carpet, but when it got stuck, it backed itself up onto the wood floor, and then made a determined successful 2nd attempt. iROBOT has been a game changer for me, and there are not too many things that I don't like about this robot, but I do have thick pile wool rugs and the lint from the rugs does not get picked up very well, no worries, I go over it with my Dyson stick vac, once the iROBOT is back at home base. My hope is that this will correct itself in a few weeks, and give my Dyson a rest!
