I use it to check out my front and back yard.

I don’t know about this 4K bs, but alright.

It needs to be wired to record 24/7 and it is a $50 subscription.

It’s audio pick up is amazing.

It’s motion detection is on par, but it’s delayed 3-6 seconds behind my ring.

It’s night vision is good.

The battery life is one day if you are recording all the time, and longer the less it is recording. Makes sense.

Thank goodness mine is working but you have to sync manually by holding the button down(10 secs.) on the cameras until it flashes amber to add them. Had to turn off night vision for better images using the built-in spotlight. It can be a hit or miss if you buy refurbished or maybe just incorrect configuration. Sometimes app will not find the hub/camera if you have VPN on your mobile device. It has to be turned off.

Update: Bought an endurance 256GB Micro SD card, you can now view the videos from the app if you are at home. Set to save on the card and got rid of my subscription. You will not get the fancier options like activity zones and intelligent recognition but still works fine. It will probably hold thousands of hours of recording before it gets full then will replace the oldest. Downside is you can only access the recordings on the SD card if you are on the same wireless network but the cloud recording still works and is good for seven days for free. Overall a very good investment.

This two 4K Ultra security camera system came with a hub which housed the microSD card which store the video or screenshot of the camera view of movements. My relative had the first gen of the 2K Arlo camera system and loves it in their single story home. I have a two story house and used a repeater to ensure the signal to the wired hub is constant. To me whenever any product is released for consumers to use, some mastermind of the product must identify 99% of the things that can go wrong. I took photos of the security camera monitor on my android tablet on Sept 26, 2021. A totally blank screen when internet is still up. So I restarted the Arlo app again. The second photo is the restarted view of the security camera.
Approximately five minutes later the Arlo security monitor is a total blank screen again. I returned the system the following day for that reason. I believe the manufacturer or software creator of the Arlo monitor should have checked for a black blank screen in the mid-afternoon sun in their logic and escalate an email to me ASAP. It should escalate an email whenever a black blank screen happens in the app. I do not want to pay for cloud services in the long run. BTW motion detection email notifications are delayed about 8 to 10 seconds, possibly because of the hub in this system, that could be problem if the vandal move quickly. This Arlo system connects to the 2.4Ghz band only.
I am using a 4K dash cam until a better security system is available, possibly a PoE security camera with a NVR at the right price.

I am always skeptical of security cameras because there are so many options out there. The Arlo ultra though, was worth the chance I took on it. I have one in the front and one in the back of my inside unit townhome. The viewing angle is incredible. The one in the front is pointing down at the doorstep and it still can see to the corner intersection and to the neighbors driveways. With a great field of view and 4k, it's an awesome combo. This camera has activity zones so I was able to set where in the field of view I want the motion alerts triggered. Connected to alexa with the arlo skill, and now I don't miss much. Sometimes the alert comes about 10 seconds after the motion is detected, but it's plenty good enough to alert me and I still know before someone gets to my door. just wish that the continuous recording plan wasn't a $20 add on, seems a bit on the high side. All in all it's great and I think I'll be keeping it!

UPDATE 12/16/21: After further testing, I find the battery life to be lacking and the service by arlo to be unreliable. Sometimes the notices of motion don't actually come through until the event is already over. That does not work for me. I compromised on having something that doesn't record 24/7 but I need to get alerts immediately. The service isn't that great but the cameras are. I'm going with a different company now.

Night and day picture quality over pro and pro 2 models. Works great with Arlo solar panel. Keeps it charged 100%. My only wish is for it to have longer range and the spot light only illuminates about 45 deg of the 180 field of view.

Bought these to add on to my existing Arlo Pro system. Required me to use the new base which works almost as good as the old one (occasional reboot required). The new cameras worked good for a while. I noticed one camera was producing green images often. I contacted support and determined I may be near the distance limit and that explained the bad pix. I charged the battery and placed the camera back in service and it no longer records anything. The battery now discharges in a matter of days with no use. I read online info that says cold weather may cause battery to read low. I brought camera indoors, rebooted as suggested, and no help. I contacted support and my 90 days had passed so no longer available. So what seemed to be a good purchase has turned into landfill. I'm done with Arlo.

Setup was very easy. Love that I can view the cameras on my iPhone and my desktop (although not simultaneously for some reason). The range from the base to the camera is not as good as I would hope but to be fair I have many stone walls throughout my home. I ended up using 2 base units which works seamlessly. Image is clear. Motion detect is awesome. I used 4 cameras (2 on each base) to cover the inside of my home in critical areas. Very happy.

Ultra 4K cams wireless with base station Even on motion low it tells me every second that a shadow of a palm leaf is moving or constantly telling me that a car is detected on my driveway. Yes that’s my car what is parked there since 2 days not moving. Seriously the most brain dead camera system I ever had. And I thought Ring and Blink is bad.
