I have been pondering buying this for ages. I finally gave in when seeing a decent price here on Amazon. I feel it has helped with my very dry skin, i.e. flakes here and thus impeding foundation application by day (I'm 54 with not many wrinkles, but some laxity here and there) yet no real improvement in terms of my skin and it's laxity in appearance which I have in a few places. I have not been able to find anything to give me this same moisture so will see how it works throughout the rest of the bottle as I am only 3 weeks in to using at night only. I believe the bottle will last at least 5 months+++. By day it would not work well with foundation at least for me. I am not a huge fan of the scent which to me is like a strong jasmine scent. My husband isn't fond of the smell either. Yet, if it continues to minimize my flakes I would purchase again. Given the price I do think if it works for helping aid in the dry skin department it's worth it as I think the bottle will last a long time.
To start, I have combination skin, and occasionally have cystic acne breakouts despite being in my early 40's. I was hesitant to try another face oil, since in the past oils have caused major breakouts. Essentially I've fallen in and out of love with many an oil. This is actually one of the better oils out there. I use it in place of moisturizer and I find it leaves my skin soft and supple without feeling greasy or clogging my pores and causing break outs, Despite being a bit pricey (the bottle is quite small), you really do get your money's worth with this product. I've found by applying one drop to my forehead, and a drop on each cheek is more than enough to completely absorb into my skin and cover my entire face. I simply place 3 drops in the palm of my hand and using my finger tab it on my face before rubbing it in. It absorbs very quickly., so you need to move fast. It does have an herbal scent, but it disappeared fairly quickly. It doesn't smell great, but it's not offensive either. While I'm head over heels for this oil, I can't imagine I'll be using it during the summer months - but for fall, winter and spring this provides the perfect amount of hydration without greasy, shiny skin. I highly recommend this. I'm on my 2nd bottle and I'm still loving it. If you find your skin feels to greasy you've used too much - just wipe it off and use less next time. It takes a few tries to find the right amount for your skin, but once you do.... Heaven!
I HAVE BOUGHT THIS OIL TWICE AND LOVE THE FEEL AND SMELL. IT LEAVES YOUR FACE HYDTRATED. I USE IT ONCE A DAY AND FEEL MOISTURIZED. WOULD RECOMMEND AT NIGHT. I NEED TWO CONTAINERS PER YEAR. IT LASTS A LONG TIME
I wanted to get a friend a gift and since she has everything, I asked her. She asked for the facial oil and I thought I'd try it too. I love the scent and the texture. I'm now only using this on my sensitive skin.
First, I have to say I don't like most fragrances..I'm picky and snobby and would rather smell something fresh and clean than flowery and artificial. I expected not to like the jasmine scent of Olio Lusso but bought it because I admire Linda Rodin and I want to be her. What a surprise when I used it! It reminded me of mornings in Portofino..fresh flowers wafting in on the ocean breeze. It smells like money and, yes, luxury. I apply a few drops to my damp face after washing and before Clinique TurnAround Cream, when I remember to use it. I have no idea if this oil does anything besides smelling insanely good, but it's cheaper than a ticket to Portofino. And I love it.
