From the Author
This is the second edition of the book (full color), fully rewritten with more than 100 new pages.
Imagine you could see Italian, listen to Italian and create your way towards learning Italian, while you understand everything you read! How is that possibile if you are an absolute beginner?
I was always intrigued by parallel reading books, the problem was that the language in those books was really outdated. You can't learn modern Italian from books written over 3 hundreds years ago. It's just not the same Italian we speak today.
By writing this book, I just wanted to put into practice what I learned by using mind maps and memory techniques. In the meanwhile I wanted to let you learn Italian while learning how to learn it.
I was looking for a multisensorial way to let you learn my own language. And it came into my mind that the best way to offer it, it was to write a book, read it and draw mind maps on it. And this is the result of my ideas! You will find a lot of FREE extras on the link provided if you buy this book!If you think the price is too high, please consider buying the black and white edition of the book.
About the Author
Antonio Libertino is a very widely experienced teacher who has also learned English and German. In fact he loves language and cultures, both Italian and foreign, and for this reason he took the Ditals (the certificate for teaching Italian to foreigners issued by the Università per stranieri di Siena), the Certificate of Advanced English and went to Ferrero in Frakfurt to learn German in the winter of 2003. There he ate three kilos of Nutella (Italian creamy chocolate) in three months but he didn't put on too much weight. Now he teaches Italian to foreigners, adults and youngsters from every nationality and runs his Bed and Breakfast, near Tropea, his beloved home town.

I like to read the Italian text aloud, while glancing over the English translation when I need clarification. A few days later while driving to work, I listen to the corresponding audio track. The book directs you to a website to download the free mp3 audio files for all of the Italian text. The combination of reading out loud and listening to the same track is fantastic.
I'm not a total beginner in Italian, and I don't believe this book should be your first contact with the language. However, once you acquire a little knowledge, then this book is ideal.
