"This book investigates the arrests of citizens in Argentina in 1979 and their subsequent internment in concentration camps on the grounds of a religious institution." This is as reviewed in "The New Essential Guide to Spanish Reading" which is published by America Reads Spanish: a campaign aimed to increase the use and reading of the Spanish language through the thousands of libraries, schools and book stores in the US.

For those who do not know the real story of "El Perro" Verbitsky's own collaboration with the Argentine armed forces during the so-called dirty "war," I suggest readers who can read Spanish check out "Horacio Verbitsky, tribulaciones de un "doble agente; EL DÍA QUE LA FUERZA AÉREA LE AGRADECIÓ POR SUS SERVICIOS) ([...]

Or my own, "Pope Francis and some still dirty secrets from Argentina's so-called dirty 'war;' When the accuser should stand among the accused" ([...]

As Jacobo Timerman (who I worked with at Newsweek) once commented to me, how was it that his former employee Verbitsky, well known as a former Montonero intelligence official, was allowed to live undisturbed in Buenos Aires during the worst of the military repression?

To which I would add: How was it that Verbitsky could be mentioned, by name, in a book he ghostwrote while supposedly in clandestinity that was published by the Air Force (in 1979) and read by the same vicious military he claimed to oppose in armed struggle, and not be bothered?

Readers, beware!

As the Scandals in the Catholic Church(or Cult) are Dimmed (on Purpose? Perish the thought!) by the Papacy Myth and a Ceremony of "Pope Election" fanfare , I (my intellect) am at Odds with me as the Blind pupil who is called to "kiss my ring --if not my ass, keep believing without questions, and all shall be forgiven"--sends me into Nietzsche's Human, all too Human. "As long as a man knows very well the strength and weaknesses of his teaching, his art, his religion, its power is still slight. The pupil and apostle who, blinded by the authority of the master and by the piety he feels toward him, pays no attention to the weaknesses of a teaching, a religion, and soon usually has for that reason more power than the master. The influence of a man has never yet grown great without his blind pupils. To help a perception to achieve victory often means merely to unite it with stupidity so intimately that the weight of the latter also enforces the victory of the former".
