But the most unusual use I've found for Simple Green is to strip off wallpaper. There is nothing better than Simple Green and what's even better is its about the lowest possible cost of wallpaper removal there is. But the best thing of all, it's the easiest to use! Back in the 90s I bought a house that had wallpaper in virtually every single stinking room. Much of it was dated when I moved in, and if it wasn't dated then, it certainly was five or ten years later. I started painting all the rooms of the house, starting with the "child" bedroom that had the ever lovely red and blue teddy bear wallpaper. Needless to say, my teenage son was not thrilled with the idea of having his walls look like it was decorated by a patriotic Christopher Robin with pictures of his adorable "Pooh Bear." We had to paint, but first had to get that awful wallpaper out!
I started by pulling the first layer of paper off and was left with the brown kraft paper backing glued to the wall. I asked "the experts" about how to get rid of it, and tried various "wallpaper remover" products, finding that they did very little to "didn't do a thing." Nothing was working. In the meantime I mixed up some Simple Green to use to wash the trim, and I noticed that the wallpaper loosened at the bottom of the wall where it had gotten wet while I was washing the wood. So I took my sponge and rubbed it on the paper, let it soak in - when I used a putty knife or scraper on it and it came right off. Not only did it come off, but once you loosen it with the putty knife, it would come off in sheets. I had the wallpaper removed in about an hour from all four walls in the room with no gouges, scratches or anything. When I was done, I used more Simple Green to wash off the glue residue, and with a minimum of additional prep work, I was ready to paint.
Later I found out that this technique works equally well on hard to reach spots like the two-story high stairwell I had. I simply filled my roller pan with Simple Green, attached an extension pole to a clean roller and soaked the paper up to the ceiling. I was then able to pull the paper off in huge sheets. You can't believe how happy I was, especially since I didn't need to put up scaffolding to reach it! Over the next couple of years, I used Simple Green to remove the wallpaper from the bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living room and foyer and the open stairway.
Now there's always a gallon or more of Simple Green in my house - even when there's no wallpaper!

Simple Green Concentrated Cleaner Degreaser Deodorizer and Simple Green All‐Purpose Cleaner Concentrated share the same formula. Also, Simple Green has recently partnered with a major discount department store to sell a pre-diluted form of the concentrated Simple Green All‐Purpose Cleaner called "Ready-To-Use Simple Green All-purpose Cleaner" which they say they did to "make your life easier". I find it just as easy and much more economical to buy the concentrated form and dilute it myself.
DIRECTIONS FOR DILUTING Simple Green Concentrated Cleaner Degreaser Deodorizer :
*LIGHT STRENGTH (for non-greasy, lightly soiled surfaces) - add 2 Tbsp. Simple Green Concentrated Cleaner Degreaser Deodorizer to a 32 oz. spray bottle and fill the rest with water
*MEDIUM STRENGTH (everyday strength) - add ½ cup of Simple Green Concentrated Cleaner Degreaser Deodorizer to a 32 oz. spray bottle and fill the rest with water.
*HEAVY STRENGTH (for stubborn soils, heavy grease) - add 2 cups of Simple Green Concentrated Cleaner Degreaser Deodorizer to a 32 oz. spray bottle and fill the rest with water.

I also poured a layer on a very blackened stovetop. I let it sit for a while, then scrubbed, then sit then scrubbed. I repeated this maybe 3-4 times. It did a great job.
brands of degreasers over 3 days with little effect. One going over with Simple Green knocked the smell down by 90% and a second treatment the next day and you'd never know it happened. I can't say enough about this product, it was a lifesaver and is now the main cleaner I will use til I die.
This should do a great job! Highly recommended.
