Even with extreme care during setup, use, and tear down, I had a hard time avoiding fraying. The edges are not sewed to prevent excessive fraying, so I am not sure of it longevity.
I was concerned with purchasing this, as some reviewers were not receiving everything that was included in the photos as shown. As of this review, it seems the supplier changed the photos to only show the strap, bag, and two ratchets. So be aware that this may not come with the tree protection (mind did).
As for performance, this line is wonderful. Great bounce, and a great challenge to increase stability.
100 feet is more than enough. Odds are, unless you are performing some serious tricks on this line, you’ll rarely be using its full length. I have yet to find total confidence in the line’s tensile strength; something about it makes me wary... maybe due to the lack of a legitimate brand name.
Setting it up is easy once you have some practice with the double ratchet. My best advice is just to have the handles closed and facing the trees when you feed in the line.
The handles are huge, and there are two of them, so you can get a lot of tension real easily, which is great. Naturally though, that makes it a bit heavy to carry around, but not too bad.
One thing though, the ratchets have failed me a couple times at high tension, and just popped while your bouncing on it and immediately your on the ground. That's kinda not great, but I use it a ton, and have only had this happen 2-3 times.
Highly recommend to anyone, especially if you are wanting to move on from or add on to a more basic line.
