Price: $58.24 "Great upgrade for a desktop with "built in" graphics." - By Mark42
Great video card for playing lots of lower end games like Minecraft, Half Life, Black Hawk Down and the like. It also smoothed out the streaming video and doesn't drop frames like the intel built in graphics did on my desktop PC running an Intel G2030 dual core processor at 3Ghz and 8 gig memory. A nice, inexpensive upgrade for a desktop that does not have a video card and is straining with daily load. And it does come with the half height bracket for those low profile desktops. It was plug and play with Windows 10 Professional, but I still installed the drivers from the CD that came with it. Microsofts plug and play drivers are often not the best for video cards, blue tooth and wi-fi. Always use the manufacturers drivers for those devices for maximum performance and features.(1,250) -

I'm not a gamer and don't need a superfast video card. This was for connecting a PC with a TV set, so I needed HDMI connection which this card has.
Everything worked perfectly out of box.
I had never previously connected a PC with a TV using HDMI (I had however done do this using VGA before), and was a bit concerned that the operating system might not have a right driver for the video card. In that case I would have to first use a different computer screen with the PC to install the proper drivers, and then move the PC to the TV.
Well, I didn't need to worry. On Windows 7, everything worked perfectly out of box without any twist. You just need to put this video card into an available PCI slot of your PC, connect your TV's HDMI port to the HDMI ... full review(1,996) -

Excellent product for the price. I used it for my club video wall which is comprised of four 75" LED monitors and it works perfectly with my processor for the wall. I used it with a HP i7 PC and video wall software.(50) -
"Good Card, Don't Use Windows's Drivers!" - By A Guy Named Ian
Put this card in an older rig in an attempt to keep it alive. Works good, and for its price range has a decent amount of power; nice low profile as well. One warning that isn't about the card; Windows 7 users, as you probably already know, do not let windows install drivers for this card before you run the driver disk. It will make it so Windows won't even acknowledge the existence of your card, and you will have to download software to wipe that driver off your PC before you can install the drivers from the disk. Obvious mistake I made, so learn from my fail.(814) -

I did A LOT of research and this was my final card of choice. Needed a video card to have a 6 monitor set up. So far I have hooked up 2 monitors. Will add 2 more tomorrow and last 2 in the near future. I am amazed by how quickly it was up and running (truly plug and play). I couldn't believe how quickly I had the two monitors running. I installed the cd that came with it, plugged in the video card, restarted and that was it....It did not require its own power input which was such a surprise but great news. One less thing to worry about.
It is installed on a Dell Optiplex gx280!! with 1gb ram and 3.0 ghz processor. So this is quite remarkable. XP found a driver after I started but I reinstalled the drive that came with it again (just in ... full review(50) -

I was pleased to find this video card. Now I can run 4 monitors with something different on each screen. I was expecting to have to buy a gaming card and pay twice as much, but this is perfect for my purposes of watching stock charts. I can't even hear the fan!
This is way better than my old set up with an internal dual monitor card, and 2 external video cards that eventually malfunctioned after a couple of years.
I accidentally bought the DVI card, and had to buy DVI cords and new monitors (that I was going to get anyway. A VGA card is also available. This DVI model does not work with VGA only monitors.(93) -

So my main goal was to have a quite mid-level gaming machine, that can also do Photoshop. It's a success without breaking the bank!
Seems to run most mid level games on full FPS, without so much as making a peep.
It comes with brackets to put in a smaller form factor. Obviously I'm using a mid tower (Dell optiplex 9010) so there are no fitment issues. In the picture I've attached you can see the heat-sink hangs down a bit and almost blocks the bottom slot.
I paired this with the NoFan CR-80EH IcePipe Fanless CPU Cooler and have eliminated all but a whisper out of the computer. The loudest thing now is the hard drive. (and I have a SSD on order)
You can run duel monitors. Play a game in one screen, and photoshop in the other (like me) with no problems. I'm ... full review(979) -

I recently was issued one of those "ultrabook" style laptops and no longer can use my laptop port replicator. With the port-rep, I used a two monitor setup and never had to open the laptop screen. The ultrabook cannot be used this way. I haven't found a way to keep the laptop screen closed, but I am using this product as the video card for monitor two. The performance with my Dell Ultrasharp monitor has been super. No video problems at all. Easy install; up and running in just a few minutes. I was a little nervous about it because of the signal chain I'm using. Monitor to StarTech.com video card to USB 3.0 four-port hub to the laptop. So far, all is good. (Also, three other devices are plugged into the hub.) The only reason I'm not giving it a 5 star rating is that I have had to ... full review(253) -

Great card, and VERY easy to setup, HOWEVER, they tell you in very fine print on the documentation that all four monitor outputs will not work with Windows XP. Worked flawlessly once I installed Windows 7. It took tech support a week to info me of that. But great card, even for AutoCAD and Inventor.(54) -

I read some reviews that this product had issues with the new MacBook Pro generation (rev 2010, the one that can dynamically switch b/w integrated and nVidia chips). So I ordered one to try out it (since drivers change all the time) and I'm happy to report it works great! I'm using the 1.6 BETA 3 drivers from the DisplayLink site ([..]). In fact, it worked so well that I immediately order a second unit. And now, I live in 4 screen bliss.
I didn't realize how useful multi-monitor support was until I read an article from a multi-screen power user (sorry no link). The short of it was that he used one screen for async activities (email, rss, twitter), another screen for real-time communication (skype, im, etc.), and the two middle screen for work with the bigger one being used as primary work ... full review(2,113) -

I want to report that this works perfectly if you dont already have one of there 3.0 usb 3.0 hubs its worth getting one i got there 10 port hub with this and i cant say anything but perfect. I am using LG ultra wide monitors 21:9 ratio 2560 x 1080 at 60hz and it displays just as well as the native hdmi on my laptop (which i will be getting anothero ne of these so i can plugin 1 usb 3.0 and have both monitors work. Please note that you will need to download the drivers for this to work and you will need to restart your computer. with out a restart the windows detects the monitor and its size but does not send any video data.(5) -
"Functions well under load. Plays runs most triple A ..." - By Prime Weaker
Functions well under load. Plays runs most triple A titles at highest/near highest graphics @ 45 - 50 frames when coupled with the 880k.
Runs all low and high end mmos at maximum settings with 50 to 60 fps, which is the main reason why I bought it.
The soon to launch rx 460 is on par with this but won't be overclockable as this due to lack of power draw(no power connectors) and was basically designed with lower resource consumption in idle mode.(41) -

I will make this a very quick review as I do not normally leave reviews. The Startech device works as described. I did not use the disk provided I went online to get the latest versions and installed those. Most of these devices have outdated software with them before they leave the factory. After installing on Windows 8 Pro I plugged it in and it worked right away no tweaking of any kind was necessary. I have a new touchscreen HP Spectre and 2 - 23" Samsung LED monitors both are connected by HDMI. The best part about Windows 8 and the device drivers is that there is a taskbar on every monitor and when you launch an application from one of the monitors taskbar's it launches on that monitor. I highly recommend this product to anyone with Windows 8.(346) -

I got two 24-inch Dell monitors on Cyber Monday and wanted to hook both up on my dell slimline Inspiron 530s gaming PC. First I tried a USB-VGA adapter. It worked, but caused the 2nd screen to be sluggish, especially when playing youtube videos. I hated it! I bought another usb-dvi monitor adapter but, still I experienced the same issue playing videos on screen 2.
I called Dell, well, chatted with them. They recommended buying this. I found a better deal on Amazon, so I bought it. Now, both monitors play 1080p online videos very nicely. Best money spent!(9) -
