"Pretty awesome accessory for the truck and I love the ..."
Pretty awesome accessory for the truck and I love the sound it puts out. Quite when you drive slow but if you want to hear it then just give it some throttle. No noticeable gains but makes the engine look so much cleaner. Gives my new model truck some new muscle sound without always being there so I can still enjoy the quite ride. Very happy I bought it. 2016 Chevy Silverado 1500, 5.3L.
I installed this on my 2003 4.7l Dodge Durango, it went in easy, hooked right up, all parts needed were provided, also it looks very sharp a nice affordable upgrade for anyone. Very satisfied with this part! No check engine light has shown up ether.
"Great add on to the truck."

Great addition to my F-150. Love the sound, extra gas mileage, bump in HP, and ease of installation. High quality addition. Hose clamps provided were difficult to impossible on one joint to use, but able to solve easily with a new hose clamp.
I always put K&N intakes on all my vehicles, and haven't been disappointed yet. You'll get a much better sound out of your engine, improved throttle response, and some horsepower gains. It might increase MPG, but it will be negated by pressing the pedal a little further on acceleration just to hear the awesome new engine sound.
The metal tube instead of the regular plastic one is a nice touch, and the MAF screws directly into it. Other than that I don't know what the difference between the Blackhawk and the regular K&N system is, so try to get it on sale.
Installation is easy. If you can change a tire you can probably install this. There was one part where I was supposed to drill a hole in a mounting plate for my particular vehicle (2012 GMC Sierra Z71) but I just left that bolt off and it seems to be ... full review
At high RPM, you can really hear the engine gulp big air! Huge performance increase and it moved my horsepower band higher at the higher RPM-end. After the swap, I could scratch the tires with an 18 year old motor, worn transmission and with a 3.50 rear-end. For giggles, we rebuilt the motor, tossed a performance-built 46RE transmission behind it and with the street cam, R/T heads, equal-length headers, exhaust and plenum upgrades, this intake still provides more than adequate air for our performance needs. This motor is producing just under 400hp. Be sure to take your time and properly fit the intake enclosure under the hood. The pipe mount is a bit off-canter and the mount for the side of the airbox needs to be bent slightly to fit the hole on the enclosure - not a big deal though.
"We did not pull the Negative Battery cable and everything is good to go"
This went on my 2015, Scat Pack, 6.4L.. Took about an hour to install. We did not pull the Negative Battery cable and everything is good to go. Be carful of the plastic threading but other than that its simple to do. Throttle response is a bit quicker, sounds better and you can feel a bit of HP.
Flowmaster cold air intake performance is great and it gave me some nice power, and great sound everyone thinks I have turbo in my Hemi the installation was easy peezy, and all the hardware was in the box and complete. I recommend this product from this seller thanks.
"but I'd be more pleased if I say some fuel economy"
Installed on my 2012 Silverado with the 5.3L. Also installed the Throttle body spacer kit with it so I don't know how each one performs on its own but I definitly have an increase in throttle response and low end torque. Haven't noticed any gains in MPG.... Maybe that's the heavy foot, but I'd be more pleased if I say some fuel economy!
after researching for hours and reading mixed reviews i decided to wing it and buy this. I have a 2010 f150 crew cab with the v8 5.4 3v motor. I have the truck running a custom tune. I installed the intake in about 1.5-2 hours taking my time. If you are wondering if you will be able to hear the intake the answer is yes. No you wont hear it when you start the truck and idle or even gas it but when you get on the highway and need to gas the truck the intake makes the truck sound like it has a mild exhaust. I can hear a nice roar and you can definitely hear the intake breathing in air on the highway with no issue, especially if you floor it after the exit ramp. Watching videos on youtube trying to obtain how this will ... full review
Was looking to buy a cold air intake for my 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 hemi. After doing research I found this one to be the one. Came in a huge box but was glad it did because it was packaged great so came in with no damage. Took about an hour or so for installation. Sounds amazing. Glad I bought this one instead of anything else. Looks great too. Definitely recommend this intake.
I made the mistake of buying a lesser, cheaper costing air intake setup (Spectre) for my '06 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7L Hemi. While it was much cheaper, the ease of installation and the products actual quality was vastly inferior to this K&N 77-1533KP. Within a few weeks, the rubber seals holding the filter on started deteriorating, the hose clamps cracked (causing me to replace them three times in about 5 months). The final straw that made me get rid of the cheap model was when the cheap metallic tubing began to crack near my throttle body where the tube was bent to mate up with the engine. The manufacturer states it uses only the best aluminum available for their CAI kits but it honestly looks more like an injection molded plastic with a shiny coating than aluminum. It even sounds like plastic when I tossed ... full review
Installed fairly easily, although I am somewhat mechanically skilled. The noise this thing makes when accelerating brings a smile to my face each time. Acceleration is so much quicker and throttle is more responsive. I've tracked MPG before and after install. Crew cab 4wd hemi averaged 20mpg from Owensboro to Nashville at 75 mph. 1.7 mpg gain on that trip. At 55 mph I average 25 mpg on highway trips. Good product. Now onto the exhaust upgrades.
