"WEST SIDE STORY stunning new blu-ray release" - By David H Hammond (Studio City, CA, US)
This 50 year-old film still captures the viewers hearts with its passionate music, dynamic direction and the youth of a generation of poor immigrants and cultural prejudices. Much has changed in American society. Youth today are much more accepting, smarter and welcoming of other cultures unlike some of their grandparents, like me. I was twenty and on my way to fight in Vietnam, when this blockbuster was released. It had a profound effect in my accepting others who were different from me. The great love ballad "Somewhere," still stirs me, "Tonight" causes my heart to beat a little faster, while "AMERICA" never fails to arouse my senses.
The packaging of this 50th Anniversary edition is very satisfying for it features a booklet about the stars, composers, director and more. The packet of posters from around the world clearly evidences the profound effect this first class ... full review

"Amazing production quality!" - By K. Carr (Simi Valley, CA)
Really really great! I wasn't a huge fan of ticket to ride. I know I know. Everyone is supposed to like this game. My wife on the other hand really loves the game, so I bought her the anniversary edition on our anniversary. See what I did there? The components in this game are so out of this world that it just begs you to play it. Now I can't get enough of the game. The beauty of this edition actually made me like the game more, and now it's one of my favorite games in our collection. My only gripe is that they didn't include the 1910 rules but they did include the actual expansion cards. So I had to look up how to play online. Not a big deal, but really surprised they didn't include them.

"Totally A Great Buy" - By April
The only regret I have is not buying this sooner! I love this movie, and it's always been my favorite, but I haven't seen it in years. I was super dissapointed when I saw that it was in the "Disney Vault" and not available for purchase or rent, and when I saw this "UK import" business I was extremely skeptical, especially after seeing some bad reviews of the disc not working on certain players and such. But, I was aching to watch this movie after my recent trip to Disney World where I met Belle. I caved and purchased the movie and I am so glad I did! This blue ray worked great on my Xbox One and the picture was incredible. The blue ray offered the extended and theatrical versions of the movie and some bonus features. It played great. The only reason I'm thinking these imports might not ... full review

"Buy This for the Bonus Material, Not the Remaster" - By Lunar Boulevard (Jefferson City, MO)
There's no denying that Out of Time is the record that officially launched R.E.M. into the stratosphere of the public consciousness. The single "Losing My Religion" still remains arguably their biggest hit and most recognizable song, the title of which is well-deserved. It still sounds fresh nearly 25 years later but it's not the only track that has that effect. The haunting "Country Feedback" remains one of their most devastating ballads, a twisted tale of a dysfunctional relationship that's on the verge of complete collapse. Bassist Mike Mills lends lead vocals to "Near Wild Heaven" and "Texarkana", both of which soar with jangly guitars and soaring choruses. "Half a World Away" is a gentle folk-tinged number that puts the band's new emphasis on country music to full effect. The closer "Me in Honey" is beautiful and "Shiny Happy People", despite its pop cheese, is still quite fun to listen to ... full review

"Love the movie" - By Amazon Customer
    Love the movie.
Does the image look great? Yes. Could it have been better? Yes. I'm really disappointed by the presentation of dust and scratches.
Shout Factory should have cleaned this up frame by frame, yet did not. This blu-ray release even contains a documentary which details one employee's blase attitude towards the cleaning process... and it shows. If Shout has a 4K release in queue, I would recommend cleaning the image up further. Why scan at 4k if only to showcase dust and scratches?

Nonetheless, this is a great movie and this release is recommend.

"Looks just as great as it plays!!" - By R
This was a brand new system just as described. There were some sonic boom stickers on the box to hide the Malaysia Singapore logo on the box (I do not know why they were covered). It does not come with the theme codes but I was aware of that when I purchased the console. Overall the 3ds looks amazing with the faceplates and runs very fast.

"Vampire Academy is my favorite book series and I just love Richelle Mead" - By Charlotte B
Vampire Academy is my favorite book series and I just love Richelle Mead. The bonus stories were awesome!!! My favorite would have to be the scavenger hunt! And although I wish Dimitri's point of view would have been a little longer I'm glad we got to have a glimpse with how he first met Rose. I'm really glad Richelle decided to do this for celebrating 10 years of Vampire Academy! I love it!

"Mary, we hardly knew you...." - By Neil Elliot (W. Hollywood, CA)
After seeing SAVING MR. BANKS, it is difficult to look at this film with the same eyes circa '64. Technically we have progressed so far, and yet, 2D penguin waiters still charm, Dick Van Dykes Charlotte Greenwood dancing far outshines his attempts at a Cockney accent, and dear Julie......what a gift. This is a story about the salvation of a dysfunctional family iced with joyous music and magic. How can anyone not want to feed the birds with Jane Darwell....little gems that remind us about our humanity, vulnerability and need to keep in touch with our inner child. Great remastering work on the blu ray version and the extras add a great deal to the enjoyment of the film. Perfect double bill with MR. BANKS for a long Disney day.....now, let's go fly a kite.....

"A Carroll Festival of Footnotes" - By AYJ (Los Altos, CA USA)
When I was a child, I pored over my mother’s handed-down copies of “Alice in Wonderland” and “Through the Looking Glass”. I was delighted by the other worlds down the rabbit hole and on the other side of the mirror, enthralled by the Cheshire Cat’s magical grin, the live playing cards and chessmen, the further adventures of my old friend Humpty Dumpty, and the antics of the Mad Hatter and March Hare. At the same time I felt some of the frustration that a child feels while sitting in on grown-ups’ conversation – I got the gist of the story, but I somehow knew that there was a lot that I wasn’t getting, grownup humor that was going on over my head. Even later, when I re-read Alice as a grown-up, I knew I wasn’t getting the point of a lot of the satire.

"Great Blu-ray Transfer of the Real Transformers Movie. But digital copy is only on VHX." - By M. Mahdi (San Pedro, CA)
The movie, the only real Transformers movie as far as I'm concerned, looks and sounds great with this new Blu-ray transfer, and has all the same bonus features from the 20th Anniversary DVD release, along with a new retrospective. If the digital copy is part of your reason for buying this, then you might want to reconsider. It's on some service I'd never heard of before called VHX. They have an app on Apple TV (but only the newest model), Android and Roku, but if you were hoping to redeem a copy on Vudu, Google Play or iTunes, that's not going to happen.

"Great game! Gobs of fun and nostalgia!" - By chrisbarry (South Dakota)
I thought this game was amazing! It is once of the best designed games I have seen in awhile plus it combines my favorite aspects of Star Trek. For example, there is never enough credit given to Janeway or Sisko. Its able to incorporate all the shows while keeping thier individuality intact. Some people complain that it should be about the enemies of Star Trek which is just a terrible idea. I don't care about the enemies enough to play for hours and hours. It's risk. Secondly, if it had been the enemies, how would the federation fit in? You think they would just sit by? Get real. Even with the addition of Q, this design is the only one that makes sense. It's fun. Buy it or be heartbroken when it sells for hundreds in a few years.

On a side note, I almost gave up on Risk ... full review

"Re-readable, relevant, and revolutionary" - By Kerri Laryea
Have you ever wondered what makes one scientific experiment considered a breakthrough while others simply place more pieces into the puzzle? Thomas Kuhn's book, The Structure of Scientific Revolutions, now in its 50th anniversary edition, withstands the test of time in its relevance to today's world of science. In addition to popularizing the phrase "paradigm shift", this book addresses the philosophy of science by questioning the assumption that scientific discovery is a linear progression toward the truth, as history might lead you to believe.

As the title suggests, this book thoughtfully presents a structure to scientific revolutions starting with an explanation of how "normal science" (versus great moments in science) operates to clarify an accepted model or pattern, which then serves to establish a paradigm. When the problem solving of normal science leads to anomalies that can no longer be explained within the established paradigm, crisis ensues. Finally, this ... full review
