I've been running my Austin graphic design business [...] for years now but until I read this straight to the point book I failed to meet the needs of elements necessary to go viral. This book is easy to read and understand. It is well researched and incredibly informative with real life examples. I would recommend this book to anyone looking to better understand what goes viral on and offline. An excellent tool to start using for marketing endeavors in any field.(704) -

I love to read, but for me, I can never make the time to read a priority. So I generally read pretty slowly, taking several weeks to finish a book. I could not put down this book, and honestly, it has reignited my passion for reading more books.
Phil (Buck) does an amazing job of taking the reader through his journey in such detail that at times I felt like I was there. Even know, I feel like I somehow lived his story. We all know Nike and wear it daily, but you will have a new found respect and understanding of what it took to bring Nike to all of us today.
I cannot tell you how much I recommend you read this book, epic read.(1,701) -

I got goosebumps reading the first chapter on The Digital Era, and couldn't stop reading! I think the author has coined a term we will all begin to use , The Age of Transparency. I am an executive coach, and I will be giving copies to all my clients. The "practical workouts" at the end of each chapter are 20 minute assignments , very do-able. They also include a few assessments to take along the way.(32) -

List Price: $19.00 Price: $12.63 You Save: $6.37 (34%) "No Wasted Words" - By John W. Pearson (San Clemente, CA, USA)
If a college-age intern asked you this summer to name the 100 best business books of all time, I have a cheat sheet for you. Some of your favorites won't be on this list and you'll likely be unfamiliar with several dozen--but that's a good thing.
The co-authors run 800-CEO-READ and have been recommending business books for years--so buying the book was a no-brainer. It called out to me. Reading the book was both mandatory and motivating. The 100 best business books are categorized in 12 sections including: you (strengths, etc.), leadership, strategy, sales and marketing, rules and scorekeeping, management, biographies, entrepreneurship, narratives, innovation and creativity, big ideas and takeaways.
I've read 21 of the 100 books. I'm familiar with another 25--and have always wanted to read about half of those. So the value of this book, for me, is having at my finger ... full review(53) -

List Price: $30.00 Price: $16.95 You Save: $13.05 (44%) "A book all managers MUST-HAVE and MUST-READ" - By Adama Coulibaly (Dakar, Senegal)
This is probably the best management book I've ever read. The writing style used by the two authors (Marcus Buckingham and Curt Coffman) is easy to follow and to grasp. The book is a great digest of how-to, recommendations, do's and don'ts, real life examples and case studies. Apply 20% of this book and you will "translate the talents of your employees into exceptional performance".
I always had many challenges of conventional wisdoms of management but had no evidence to support my thinking. "First, Break All the Rules" is the evidence I needed. From now on, I will (continue to) focus on people strengths and manage around their weaknesses. From now on I will select for talents and train for skills and knowledge. Before separating a low performing employee, I will check if his low performance is due to lack of skills or kack of knowledge, if as a ... full review(601) -

List Price: $24.95 Price: $14.29 You Save: $10.66 (43%) "Here’s another year’s worth of management wisdom, all in one place." - By Robert Morris (Dallas, Texas)
This is the latest volume in a series of anthologies of articles selected by the editors of Harvard Business Review because they offer “the definitive management ideas of the year from Harvard Business Review.” The bonus article, “What Is Disruptive Innovation?” all by itself is worth far more than the total cost of this volume. Moreover, the total cost of the eleven articles would cost about $70 if purchased individually as reprints.
The material provided will help executives to achieve strategic objectives that include these, each preceded by “How to”:
o Rethink the way they work in the face of accelerating automation
o Transform their business using a platform strategy
o Apply design thinking to create innovative products and/or services
o Identify where excessive collaboration may be holding their people back
o See the theory of disruptive innovation is a new light
o Recognize the signs that their ... full review(6) -

List Price: $27.99 Price: $14.48 You Save: $13.51 (48%) "Solid book on Leadership" - By AltarEgo23
Let me begin by sharing that a lot of the reviews of this book are unfair & blowing some smoke...Yes, the author referenced Mitt Romney. No, she wasn;t making any form of a political reference whatsoever. Romney, politics aside, was mentioned as a reference from one of the CEOs interviewed from eBay. The CEO shared how influential Romney was while she was at Bain. Point blank. End of reference to Romney for the book. I've read the book with some haste since purchasing it because it really is a quality read on leadership and management. Now that we've cleared that out of the way, on to the rest of the review... Wiseman makes VERY clear there are the types of people you want to work for and those you are forced to work for, with Multipliers being the former. With extremely clear to understand terms and examples from top executuves ... full review(270) -

List Price: $26.95 Price: $17.51 You Save: $9.44 (35%) "Proof of David's Leadership" - By Chris
I was aboard the USS Santa Fe for 2 years prior to Captain Marquet and 2 years WITH Captain Marquet. We were truly the worst boat in in Pearl Harbor. We were a disengaged crew and the most common phrase on the boat was FTN (use your imagination). Many crew members had that written in their hats. Everyone was getting out. When Captain Marquet came aboard this all changed. Pride crept back in. Guys started reenlisting. We were now proud to be Navy and proud of our boat!
David truly walks the walk. He immediately changed our culture. I personally benefitted from his empowerment approach. I was a naive farm boy with very little self confidence when he arrived. Under his leadership I qualified and stood watches normally reserved for officers. I was named 'Junior Leader ... full review(677) -

List Price: $19.99 Price: $18.70 You Save: $1.29 (6%) "His lessons always inspire me. Fantastic book, but please add more info inside of it." - By VICTORIA S_HUFFELTON
Thought I had various books about Elon Musk but somehow this book impressed me enough, might be the quality writing of it. Here the author “Andrew Knight” described about Elon Musk’s best lessons and I am really glad to know all these lessons.
It is true that Musk is a symbol of the American dream and this book will give you a clear overview about Elon Musk and his biggest success. I will definitely apply all his lessons in my career life and will see how it works. Anyways, this book gave me huge info about this famous person and taught me how to replicate his success.
Excellent work Andrew but hope you will add more info, lessons and stories inside of this book and release a new version of this book.(83) -

List Price: $24.95 Price: $14.47 You Save: $10.48 (42%) "Ten Plus the McKinsey Award Winner, William Lazonick’s “Profits Without Prosperity”" - By Robert Morris (Dallas, Texas)
This is the second volume in what I hope will become an annual series of anthologies of the best articles that appeared in Harvard Business Review during the previous calendar year. Frankly, I am pleased and relieved that I was not among those who were charged with making the selections, each of which is eminently worthy. I commend the Editors on the excellent Introduction. It brilliantly sets the "table" for the intellectual "feast" that follows.
The articles average about 15 pages in length. (Keep in mind that Amazon's "Look inside" option creates immediate access to the table of contents in all of the anthologies: HBR 10 Must Reads, HBR Guides to, HBR on, etc.) Executives with little (if any) time for reading business books and journals will welcome the material in HBR's 10 Must Reads 2016: The Definitive Management Ideas of the Year from Harvard Business Review. They will ... full review(8) -

List Price: $16.99 Price: $11.55 You Save: $5.44 (32%) "For buy and hold investors, great book" - By darian johnson
This is an interesting book that can help an investor at basically any stage in the game. The book gives insight to a structured way to evaluate any stock: stability ? Growth potential ? Exposures or challenges the company might face ? Biggest pros/ biggest cons ? Company goals and business strategy? Etc..
The book also does a good job at picking stocks that come from all areas of the Market. Even though many of the companies are repeats from the previous year he explains the recent activity, and analyzes the updated view on each choice, new or repeat. I am a "buy and hold" investor so i do not mind the repeated companies year to year, and i feel if the author switched up the selections much more then it would kind of undermine his own credibility. Overall I recommend this book.(27) -

Price: $0.00 "Short book, but helpful." - By Nissa Annakindt (Daggett, MI, USA)
I must admit I picked up this Kindle book because it was free and because the title seemed crazy. Reading the book I discovered it was very short--- 40 pages. And that seems to be the secret of the 'book' a week--- they are not full length books. So that disposes of the 'crazy' aspect.
Alex Foster shares a great deal about the working methods he uses to create both fiction and non-fiction that brings in money. I think learning about these working methods is useful even if you don't plan to write a book--- even a short one--- every week.
I picked up a number of ideas I can use in my own writing practice and that makes this book a worthwhile read for me. It may be worthwhile for you, also. Especially if you tend to write short stories, novellas or short non-fiction items and are ... full review(117)
