"Top notch for price to performance. Would recommend to ANYONE" - by Amazon Customer
EDIT: I just updated to nvidia's latest gpu drivers without issue last night to play battlefield 1.
TRUTHFUL REVIEW:
Do NOT listen to the negative reviews on here. They are people with little knowledge on the PC world let alone the gamer PC world. This laptop is top notch for a the price to performance comparison.
You are getting a $,1049 laptop with the kaby lake i7, gtx1060, 16gb ram that is easy to upgrade, a 256 SSD, IPS screen. Is this entry level yes? Should you expect small details that aren't on this model to drop the price? YES! But the things that were dropped from the G9-593-72VT are not performance changing items.
This rig easily handles new games from high to ultra settings killing it in FPS. I play Arma 3 which is extremely CPU intensive and horribly optimized. With some graphics tweaks I was still pushing 50 fps on high.

"Powerful pc for good price" - by edip ufuk avun
This is a very powerful laptop. This being the 2018 version, they include the hard drive tray and screws which usually weren't included in recent versions. Upgraded it with a second 500gb 2.5" Sata SSD.

Owned an asus Rog Strix gl703vm before this one, but it had a sudden voltage problem and died; had to return it.

Pros:
Thanks to Helios 300's Overclockable GPU, it can pull higher frame rates than the Rog Strix.

-Cooling is very good, it didn't exceed 80c under load and max fans.

-Silent (more silent than rog strix)

-144hz refresh rate is great and this version has a much better screen than the previous gen. Screen tearing didn't occur so far.

-8th gen i7 8750h does not bottleneck gpu as much as 7700hq

Some cons:
-No display port: won't project over 60fps on external monitor.
-No independent buttons to increase/decrease volume and access to PredatorSense.
-had bunch of junkware installed but easily removable.
-200gb available to go ... full review

"Great package for the price....still" - by Charle Cobalt
Fast overall, good graphics performance. Upgraded the memory and replaced the HDD with a SSD, one screw to remove and the bottom comes off. The memory and hard drive are easily accessible, the replacements took about 15 minutes to install. Overall, very satisfied with this machine. By the way, the 128GB SSD is a SK Hynix M.2, I may replace that eventually, I've only had it for about ten days.

Okay review update time. I still love this machine, it's a little slow on battery but holds a charge well when using the Intel graphics adapter. I highly recommend the purchase, you won't be disappointed.

"Less than 1 month later it's dead... but HP handled it well!" - by Henry
Update 11/15/2018: So I wasn't happy that my laptop died on me in under 3 months (with less than 1 month's light usage). Also, after logging onto HP's support page only for their own software to crash and not work, I honestly thought that I would never buy from HP again. I vented my disappointment on the contact page for the CEO of HP the very afternoon that my laptop stopped working.... and received a phone call the very next day. HP profusely apologized for this issue and recognized that the frustration I had gone through with their support service. I won't go into all the details but they actually offered me "options" for making this right. This is what I was most impressed with, they wanted to give a solution that I could work with, not the other way around. It's ... full review

"Very nice gaming laptop" - by Amazon Customer
I ordered this for my daughter and she and my son (they have three computer science degrees between them) did a lot of research on gaming laptops. It seems that all gaming laptops have their issues but this is the one that they settled on and she has not had any complaints after a month of use. I'm not a gamer so I don't really know the issues involved. I'm in the macOS ecosystem so Windows laptops are not in my interest area.

"this thing runs super smooth. This is definitely a great budget gaming ..." - by Ookami
I gotta tell you, i had my doubts on this computer going into it but i have never been more wrong. The computer is lightning fast with the 8th gen 15 (runs faster that a 7th gen i7) and after getting all the updated completed, this thing runs super smooth.

This is definitely a great budget gaming laptop and amazing workstation laptop for those of you that want the best of both worlds. Strongly recommend the 8th gen i5 version of this computer! It looks super nice too!

"Substance Over Style" - by Frederick Nunes (New Bedford, Ma.)
I received this laptop promptly. I was beating myself up with all the choices. What I finally decided was that this one was really my only option. I wanted all the features this offers. Great battery life, a matte screen (non-glossy) full HD, an SSD vs the HDD drive, and a backlit keyboard. This laptop as mentioned by others will not win any style points. It will however win with substance. It still is nice looking with a textured cover and being black overall. But that is not what this one is about. Its about what is inside of this amazing product. It took me about an hour to get all the updates to get it current. It boots up in 10 seconds and shuts down in 2 to 3 seconds. The screen quality is excellent, and I am fussy ... full review

"Incredible machine, but sharp edges can really hurt you!!" - by Cliente Amazon
The Laptop is a beast! It is very heavy, as expected, and the keyboard is very confortable.

I am using the laptop for less than a week but have, already, identified a potential design flaw. The corners and the edge of the laptop are very sharp, and it really hurts the arms, the wrist and the hands. After short gaming sessions of 15 minutes, I need some breaks to self massage.

I would reccomend HP to conduct some usability sessions with heavy users to get their impressions about this issue. I will, probably, maculate the modern design of this laptop with some pieces of neoprene. The alternative is to use an external keyboard, but it is not always possible for me.

"Great laptop for gaming with elegance" - by Dyscopia
So first of all, Eluktronics provides a 16GB USB for writing *any* review. This has been said in other reviews, but it's for full disclosure even in this review. So, I'm gonna try to follow a categorical based review with a summary and brief pros/cons at the end.

Design/Build Quality: 9/10
I'd say that this is one of the more attractive gaming laptops out there simply because it lacks the "Gamer" aesthetic. The discrete tone is
greatly appreciated in professional settings, and I can use it in public without feeling out of place. The outside of the laptop feels to be aluminum, which unfortunately leads to a negative aspect of the design. This thing is a fingerprint magnet. Within seconds of touching it you will get fingerprints on the top, but that can be taken care of for the most part and isn't terribly noticeable from afar. Overall though, the laptop feels sturdy ... full review

"Runs great and is everything I hoped it would be" - by Kindles Reviewer
Runs great and is everything I hoped it would be. Exceeds my expectations and is very quiet. Doesn't over heat and runs everything at max settings. Its very thin and it really is a bad ass machine.

""You underestimate my power. - Anakin Skywalker" - Acer Predator" - by Dave
After hours of research and even one returned MSI, I ended up with an Acer Predator 17 i7-7700HQ GTX1070 8GB. This thing is massive power in a massive body. It's honestly probably too powerful since the display is only 1080p and 75hz so you might want to consider just going with the GTX 1060 version.

Pros: Runs anything on ultra, stays super cool, great build quality, doesn't look as bad in person. Cons: over 10 pounds with the power supply, you'll need a special bag to carry it, definitely has that gamer look to it.

This thing is a performance machine. With a GTX 1070 it can take all you throw at it. However, the 75hz 1080p display will leave you wanting more. Wish it at least came with a 1440p display and 120hz. I think there was an option that did but it didn't have the IPS display and whatever. It's ... full review

"Fantastic laptop, don't accept backlight bleed" - by JP209
Went through two exchanges with Amazon before receiving a perfect one. There are QC issues with this laptop (2017 FHD model) concerning backlight bleed, dead pixels, warped chassis, and loose LCD bezel at the bottom of the screen. Potential buyers should know that Razer uses two LCD suppliers in the 2017 Full HD Blade. AU Optronics and LG. Every unit I've tried (from other retailers aside from Amazon) that used the AUO panel had a combination of dead pixels, dust specs, bad backlight bleed, and a heavy green / yellow tint out of the box. This is par for the course for anything AUO, same issues plague their high refresh gaming IPS monitors.

In fairness, my replacement had an LG screen and one half of the screen was a different hue than the other half, really distracting and I returned it.

My 3rd and current Blade also has an LG screen and ... full review

"I will not say it has the best specs if you compare to other gaming laptops" - by Blackdasko
I am using it to write this review. Well, I will not say it has the best specs if you compare to other gaming laptops. I just want a graphics card to run little editing stuff and light gaming. 1050 2GB for heavy gaming? You can dream about it.......
The speaker amazed me! It is almost the same as using headphone when I listen to my favorite music, but you have to be right in front at the computer.
Overall, the performance is good; the CPU is the lastest and fast.
The keyboard is quite good and comfortable.
I don't really like the red line design but I rather it is plain steel.
The battery can let you use about 4.5 hours if you just internet and youtube.
The wifi works perfectly like the advertising. It works well even though I am a little far away from the router and have a wall in between.
The fan ... full review

"Sleek, Slim, Grunty" - by Patrick S.
I just received this laptop today, purchased for myself as a work laptop. I wanted something slim and powerful for the budget I was given and that would ultimately be fairly lightweight compared to most 'chunky' gaming laptops. I have to say that MSI has certainly delivered. The packaging was very thorough and included a rather large microfiber cloth and ensured the laptop made it without any issues.

Speaking of the laptop itself, it is a bit thin feeling at points but considering how light they made it, the metal casing is an acceptable tradeoff. It has a slight bit of flex in some spots when pressed, but nothing alarming compared to most laptops I've used over the years. The speakers are one of the weak points, having typical laptop quality but this was purchased for the things it delivers on. The new Intel chipset ... full review
