"I use a Crucial SSD and is working excellent. I put the link" - by MAXIMUS-VERGONIUS
I got this laptop an it took me a little to figure out the layout and disassembly of the back cover. Be careful with the rubber bumpers there are 2 screws underneath. The M.2 slot is SATA 3 (Cheap Bastards) not NVMe. Be careful how you insert the SSD drive. The 6 pin is on the right side of the slot. The screws on the back are different sizes so mark them where they belong. For a clean install, start the laptop with the original OS and let it register to Microsoft. Once is register as digital license wiped and install the new Fall creators OS. Don't use any sharp metal to pray the back cover it will break. I use a Crucial SSD and is working excellent. I put the link. Please don't mine mi spelling I don't give a human @ss. I put some pics for all ... full review

"Very nice value laptop" - by Soar
This is a nice setup for under $400. The laptop features the Intel i3-8130U 8th generation (latest generation for 4/2018, a 2 core processor), a 1TB drive and 6gb RAM. The battery is supposed to last for 12 hours (I tested this a bit but not a lot). The laptop has 6gb, a read/write DVD drive, and a lot of connections and a 1920 x 1080 display.

The laptop is responsive and snappy for an under $400 laptop. I’m a bit perplexed by some of the reviews claiming this to be slow. It is not. This value laptop has some chops. I loaded my desired suite of applications with Ninite dot com, that went quickly. In testing performance, I ran a Netflix movie and a show on YouTube at the same time with no performance degradation. I ran the 2+ hour movie twice ... full review

"Substance Over Style" - by Frederick Nunes (New Bedford, Ma.)
I received this laptop promptly. I was beating myself up with all the choices. What I finally decided was that this one was really my only option. I wanted all the features this offers. Great battery life, a matte screen (non-glossy) full HD, an SSD vs the HDD drive, and a backlit keyboard. This laptop as mentioned by others will not win any style points. It will however win with substance. It still is nice looking with a textured cover and being black overall. But that is not what this one is about. Its about what is inside of this amazing product. It took me about an hour to get all the updates to get it current. It boots up in 10 seconds and shuts down in 2 to 3 seconds. The screen quality is excellent, and I am fussy ... full review

"Top notch for price to performance. Would recommend to ANYONE" - by Amazon Customer
EDIT: I just updated to nvidia's latest gpu drivers without issue last night to play battlefield 1.
TRUTHFUL REVIEW:
Do NOT listen to the negative reviews on here. They are people with little knowledge on the PC world let alone the gamer PC world. This laptop is top notch for a the price to performance comparison.
You are getting a $,1049 laptop with the kaby lake i7, gtx1060, 16gb ram that is easy to upgrade, a 256 SSD, IPS screen. Is this entry level yes? Should you expect small details that aren't on this model to drop the price? YES! But the things that were dropped from the G9-593-72VT are not performance changing items.
This rig easily handles new games from high to ultra settings killing it in FPS. I play Arma 3 which is extremely CPU intensive and horribly optimized. With some graphics tweaks I was still pushing 50 fps on high.

"A highly tentative 4-stars: the first two hours impression" - by Oscar
Edit* (1/24/2018):

Now that Amazon has actually published this review, here are a few edits and recaps [the original review is more thorough]:

-Apparently I was mistaken: you have to purchase Windows 10 Pro separately if you want Pro, there is no free upgrade (at least none I could find). Otherwise W10 Home has remained satisfactory. It was always a fast OS, still is, programs open quickly, switching from one to another and between tabs is as seamless as on a desktop, and the power on-through-BIOS-to-login screen time is less than ten seconds, I'd say. I don't know if Microsoft finally stopped making constant updates, but I haven't noticed any update interruptions in the last 2 weeks. Maybe they decided to stop torturing people with forced updates. Maybe the laptop has be waking itself up in the middle of the night and installing while I sleep. IDK.

-I am loving this Intel chip. ... full review

"We use Lenovo computers and work stations at my job and they seemed pretty reliable which prompted this purchase for my personal use" - by Kevin Czajkowski
As advertised. Been using for two months and have no complaints. We use Lenovo computers and work stations at my job and they seemed pretty reliable which prompted this purchase for my personal use. It's fast, light, huge screen, and it looks good.

"Best laptop I've owned" - by Drew Nelson
I debated between this macbook air and a MS Surface. I couldn't be happier with my decision to get the MacBook Air. It is incredibly fast, loads quickly, and it is so easy to travel with due to it's size and lightweight. I also bought the Asurion warranty which seems to be a much better deal than AppleCare.

"Good one." - by Sriram
Good one. Only downside is, it didn't have USB Type-C port, as mentioned in the description. It has finger print sensor though, which is not mentioned in the description.

"Amazing!" - by Kakamay
I wanted to get a laptop for my stepdad because his was infected with so many different things that it didn't work properly anymore. So, when I saw this I couldn't believe my luck at the amazing price! I got it in the mail yesterday and set it up for him so it would be ready when he got home from work. It runs so smooth;y that I couldn't believe it! It answers commands immediately, the display color is fantastic, it has great speakers, he can use a regular mouse on it, and SO many other things! I'm EXTREMELY happy with this purchase, and my stepdad was even happier. THANKS GUYS!

"Love it!" - by SuzyQ
I love this Chromebook! The keyboard is easy to use, and there is no external noise to contend with. All that was necessary for set up was turning it on and logging into google account, exactly as advertised!
I use a computer, primarily for internet access and saving/posting photos. It is fantastic for the things that I need a computer for.
Defiantly well worth the money & then some. I highly recommend the Samsung Chromebook for browsing the internet, and for note taking.
I couldn't be happier with this product!

"Works great with Ubuntu Gnome 17.04!" - by Jaymz (Manzanita, Oregon)
I'm very happy with this purchase.

I spent a bit of time looking around for a decent laptop I could use to install Linux (Ubuntu Gnome 17.04). I've heard some people having issues with these convertible laptops, but I did manage to see that there were a couple posts in the past about people who were asking about how to enable the wifi connection on this particular laptop. This told me that it was probable that I'd be able to get it working without much of a fight, plus I had very good luck in the past installing Linux on the Aspire line of laptops.

While the process of getting Linux to install was slightly tricky, you have to manipulate some bios settings. I was able to install it without too much of an issue. Happily the laptop works extremely well and actually performs better than I had expected.

The only thing that ... full review

"This is a great laptop. I am an internet marketer" - by Aubrey Allen
This is a great laptop. I am an internet marketer, so I needed something that was fast, easy to use and had a webcam. This has all of the above. The touchscreen works fantastic, and the processor is fast enough for me to always have 10+ windows open with no lag.

My only issue is the battery life. It will run for about 2, maybe 3 hours max before needing to be plugged in. And you must put the laptop into sleep mode before closing it, or it will continue to drain the battery (most of the time resulting in a dead laptop).

The battery life is the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5. Otherwise exactly what I was looking for.
