While I’m not into building my muscle mass, I do some weight work just to keep myself trim and healthy, so this book containing daily meal plans whether you want 1500 calories all the way to 4000 calories. One thing I liked about this book by Jason Farley, a fitness expert and body builder himself is his Top Commandments of Good Nutrition, which includes such great tips like having protein with every meal, include green on every plate, that fat is not evil and don’t rely on supplements but eat real food, to name a few of Farley’s commandments.

The recipe part of the book includes Breakfast, which Farley agrees is the most important meal, Entrees, Snacks, Desserts, Fish & Seafood, Paleo recipes and Shakes to name a few. As a woman who has been into Fitness for quite some time, I have to say that I approve of this kindle book. What I like the most is the fact that it is written intelligently when it comes to explaining the science behind nutrition, however not overly so that a beginner would feel intimidated. The basic facts about calories, protein, carbs, and fats are explained in a way that is simple enough to grasp. (Because no one is motivated by a lengthy lecture in thermodynamics complicated by an open system.)
Another great aspect of this book is that is not just catering to people who are trying to "bulk up". I'm a girl and in no-way-shape-or-form want to get bigger. They have also addressed those of us who like to slim down AKA "get cut". The recipes are organized and well thought out and many are darn fancy ... full review

"This book is GREAT and I can't recommend it enough!" - by Robby
I really love this book. I've read Mike's other book "Bigger, Leaner, Stronger" and was really motivated by it and liked the writing style. This book is very much in the tradition of BLS. There is clear and well presented information in the first part of the book and then come the recipes. The recipes presented are GOOD. I just made the Dijon-Sage Pork Loin and the Crispy Squash Fries. I'm so glad I did! There were minimal ingredients so my shopping list didn't cost an arm and a leg, and though everything was simple it was SOOOOO flavorful! My boyfriend and I have been wanting to eat better and incorporate more veggies into our diet and this cookbook is helping us do that. I particularly like how each recipe has the calorie count and macros listed. There are so many pros to this book that I hate to mention ... full review

Mark Matt offers an assortment of recipes that highlight vegetables in Vegan Bodybuilding Cookbook. The nutritional status appears after each recipe. The book could be enhanced with a description of the foods which are unfamiliar to Americans. Another bonus would be a chart to show the metric conversions since many people have not learned them. One of my favorite foods is chickpeas so I was delighted to find them in the least expected recipes in this cookbook..

Great book. Explains a lot about the different diets for different goals in body building. The recipes are great. Great Book!!! There aren't many out there that explain how to cut, maintain, and bulk with recipes included. Awesome!

This is one for the hard rockers. Looking to get ripped and all muscles. This here is your book. It tells why it seems harder for some guys to gain mass muscle. It speaks of genetics. I also learned your muscles grow when rested after the gym. It speaks of food and training . It also gave tips on what to do before and after training. I also like the fact that it gave the exercises best to do. The stuff mentioned here is good and quite beneficial.
