"The book is great, the kindle version is NOT!" - by FunWithAmazon
You can see that the author put a lot of time and love into this book. However, my Kindle version is the most difficult
digital book to read that I've ever purchased, and I am very disappointed. You have to keep changing the font and page size in order to see all of the many images, and read every page without it jumping around. I am considering buying the paperback instead. My advice: don't buy the Kindle version, for a few bucks more just get the tangible book.

"The Sweet Life" - by Blaise Doubman
Let me just start by saying - this book has a recipe for homemade lemon drops. Homemade lemon drops (page 28). That in and of itself makes me happy. This book is filled with photographs. Over 90 recipes and 450 photographs actually for a final tally. Impressive, right!? Absolutely! How about making your own "Salt Water Taffy" (page 35), or how about making your own "Honeycomb Toffee" (page 45)!? Other delicious recipes include "Fresh Coconut and Cardamom Caramels" (page 49), "Almond Milk Fudge" (page 64), "Strawberry Meringue Clouds" (page 87), and "Champagne Truffles" (page 140). I know - my mouth is watering too. And with recipes - and pictures - like this...you'll want this cookbook! If you love sweets - you'll love this cookbook!

"Yummy!" - by Qookie Queen
I'm a candy-making noob, but this book enables newbies like me to turn out professional-looking treats. The sections are logical, easy to follow, and provide all manner of tips and scenarios to head off potential disasters. I've tried four recipes so far -filled chocolates, divinity, rochers and Turkish delight- ; only the delight defeated me (I'll be trying again to get it right, but the waste of pistachios made me weep). The other three turned out perfectly. I won't say the feeling was like the high I got when I baked my first loaf of bread, but it was close. I'll be going through all of the recipes eventually. This is a great cookbook!

"Lots of great recipes!" - by killthebananas (PA)
I have been making candy for almost 20 years, since I was a child. I found this book to be helpful, even the first chapter, even though I'm not what most people would consider a beginner. There were still a lot of fun candies that I had never thought to try, or didn't know existed! There are a ton of great recipes in this book, although, as another reviewer mentioned, most of the "700 recipes" are simple variations on the main recipe. Usually as simple as using a different flavor or type of chocolate. Sometimes the variations were so simple it seemed they should not have been included. Again, just changing chocolate types should be a no brainer. If you know how to make milk chocolate PB cups, you also know you can make them with white chocolate or dark. The author ... full review

"Amazing Collection of Candy Recipes" - by Alexis (New Haven CT)
If you are looking for the candy recipes your grandmother used, they are probably in this book. They are surprisingly simple and fun.
I ordered this book in November to prepare for our first Christmas without my Grandmother's spectacular candies. I do not mean to imply the book turned me into a master candymaker, but I did find recipes that allowed me to continue a cherished family tradition of homemade chocolate pecan fudge, divinity and penuche fudge. My brother commented that our grandmother must have helped me out a bit from up above. I am not known as a great cook, so maybe he was right. Everything turned out perfectly.
I highly recommend this.

This is a wonderful cookbook! So many favorites, candy and chocolate, recipes! Easy to follow instructions! All would be great, given as a gift. I have made the Twix and the Mallo Cups. I cannot wait to make the rest.
I would recommend to any level of baker, some of the recipes are quite easy to make.
Thanks for all the great recipes!

"Buy this book right now!" - by AS83
I rarely write cookbook reviews, but this book is so awesome that I felt compelled to write one. I had seen the author on an episode of "Easy Chinese," so I was familiar with the Dirt Candy restaurant. When I first saw the cookbook, I was unsure about whether or not I would like it - a graphic novel? Was that just a novelty approach that would provide little content? Absolutely not! In fact, the illustrations are my favorite part of the book. They explain the recipes and techniques in such a fun way. I actually read this entire cookbook the day I got it.

The recipes might be more advanced, but they are presented in such a way as to not be intimidating. Yes, you might spend all day Saturday making one of the recipes, but you'll have fun doing it!

So far I have made the carrot buns and the ... full review
