Central Air Conditioning Unit
"Very energy efficient!"
I installed one of these in my sister's house. I could not buy it locally without a contractor's license, so it works out well to buy it here. I have been installing air conditioners since 1984. It is good for up to about 1,500 square foot house, or 1,800 square feet if it is well insulated and dual pane windows, shade on the south side, ect.
Do not buy a air conditioner rated at less than 14 SEER in most of the United States, as it is not energy efficient enough to pass codes. By getting a 16 SEER outdoor unit, you can usually be over 14 SEER with a older indoor fan coil unit, so I used the 1996 home furnace. It barely draws any power compared to the unit it replaced. I did have to replace the indoor coil and lines between the ... full review
Great unit. Installed it with a nest thermostat, what a difference in the electric bill.
"Works well, easy to install"
(Long Island, NY)
Although it is surprisingly heavy, it installed easily and seems to work well. There was some oily substance in the bottom of the unit which my installer feared was a leak, but he said it held charge. Came pre-loaded with ample Freon.
Fit our a c unit perfect !
"You can void your warranty on a new unit while thinking you are protecting your investment, by covering the entire unit. Scot"
You are not supposed to cover the sides of your ac unit, because it will promote condensation, and eventually rust. This cover allows the sides of the unit to breathe, while keeping the leaves, ice, snow, branches, and helicopters, out of the center.
"It runs very good, the noise is lower than I was thought"
I bought this Goodman condenser for a month, for some reasons , I just finished install and made it full functionality . It runs very good , the noise is lower than I was thought. Plus,I bought another evaporator coil with TXV, works perfect with R410A refrigerant. This is for my up level zone of my house, I will replace down floor zone with Goodman, later. The only things I don't know is: R410a was pre-charged inside compressor. The HVAC tech trying to charge it, he found the pressure was too high. Then he realized it was manufacture pre-made . Great products, love it. One more thing, if you try to brazing, use acetylene torch, not use propane torch. Because with pre-charged refrigerant , propane torch hardly make it hot.
Only 10 left in stock - order soon.
"Save me a ton of money."
These are saving me a ton of money over the same brand that was 13 seer that got ruined in the flood. Reliable brand I have had for several years now and I would recommend these to anyone who is looking for a great value.
Delivered on time. Customer service was excellent.
THIS UNIT IS NOT A HEATER A/C combo. Runs great though!
"Goodmans quality and pricing is the best i say"
Goodman have been known as very competitive lowest pricing to other popular name brand Package AC / Heat Pump systems. All these units basicly have the same components that make up for an AC/Heat Pump system. Anything mechanical will break down eventually from 1 to 20 years of operation.Goodmans quality and pricing is the best i say. Also, best advise is get a good warranty company.
"Get this, this is awesome!"
Got this AC cover for my outside unit, didn’t even know they were exist, saw one of my neighbors put it on their unit , makes me want one, this one is really good quality, price is fair, I mean I really think that whoever that have a outside AC unit, really needs one, during the winter time, think of all that ice get into it, this cover really can help the unit last longer lifetime, and don’t forget, its water proof.and it did fit perfectly on my unit.
"Very pleased with the Sturdy Cover all season air conditioner defender ..."
Very pleased with the Sturdy Cover all season air conditioner defender to use on my new Lennox outdoor unit. The 36" cover fits like a glove, is well made and already preventing leaves and twigs from settling on the top and in the bottom of the fan. It is easily adjustable to get the right position and the bungee straps secure it tightly in place. I plan to leave it on year round to protect my investment.
I like it plenty however...this unit was installed and started up just fine...for the first day. I did notice a slight whirring sound that I thought was unusual. I can hear the fan going but this is an additional sound, louder than the fan, and it changes pitch. When I got home from work the day after it was installed the temperature on the inverter was set at 77 (my wife had raised it from 75 because it was too cool in the room) and the temperature in the room was 71 degrees. I have this unit installed in a combination kitchen, dining and living room of about 800 square feet with 8' ceiling. It continues to cool after the room is way cooler than the temperature it is set at. Then when I turn the temperature setting up a couple degrees it will not cool enough and the room ... full review
