"Not a great movie, but absolutely great fun" - By Beau Yarbrough (Between Disneyland and Las Vegas)
My wife (who doesn't remember the original show) and I went into the movie with zero expectations and found ourselves having an absolute ball. The film is funny, self-aware and great fun. Any film that includes the line "for god's sake, FLIP YOUR HAIR!" isn't one that takes itself too seriously, even for a moment.
Add to that teriffic Hong Kong action-movie sequences -- See Cameron Diaz question a thug with her foot! See the Angels take on a sword-cane wielding and high-flipping Crispin Glover! -- and the film got a well-deserved round of applause from a packed theater in very jaded Los Angeles.
This isn't the film for those who prefer their action grim or their female heroines desexualized -- the Angels go from kicking the crap out of bad guys to checking out hot guys in zero-to-60 flat -- but for those looking for some light movie fare ... full review

"Wonderful Show!" - By Lily (South America)
I watched this as a kid and enjoyed again as an adult. Cool action, interesting stories, and funny, too. I think the show is worth the cost. See more at vyctorynotes dot blogspot dot com.

Angels In Paradise - Part 2
    Amazon Video ~ Charles Dubin

"The Angels are Back and Better than Ever!!!" - By Rodney Bogardus (Buffalo, NY)
After the hugely popular debut season of Charlie's Angels (in fact, it held the record for the show with the highest ratings during its 1st season for many years until ER took the title in the 1990's) and the departure of the show's most popular angel, "Jill" played by Farrah Fawcett, the brains behind the jiggle drama decided to introuduce the new character, "Kris" played by Cheryl Ladd, as Jill's younger sister. Replacing a main star after only one season was a huge risk, but the results were spectacular as audiences fell in love with the spunky new Angel, and the ratings for the show increased over those of the previous season!
In its 2nd season, Charlie's Angels started to mature as a television show with better writing and acting. Although the same dyn-o-mite chemistry that existed between the Angels of the original trio was missing in the 2nd ... full review

It was fabulous! I loved every minute of it! It is a real shame that this was cancelled. I thought it had great potential.

    "Classic Charlie's Angels" - By N. Anderson
I grew up watching these women in action. Now that i have the complete third season, i am content with owning the first, second and third seasons. After the third season, i really didn't like the replacements they put in for "Jill and Chris". I just felt that no matter who they put in Chris and Jill's place, they didn't and didn't live up to the role. Just my opinion and everyone's entitled to have one.

"BUY AIV, NOT DVD" - By Lonny Roland
I have seen Season 5 of this collection on DVD sell for $35.00+ while the other seasons are selling for under $10.00 for the past few years. I have waited patiently for the price to drop, but there is no indication that it will. I saw Season 5 on Amazon Instant Video for $9.99. I have a Smart TV and I do watch a lot of movies and TV on my IPAD. So I completed my series this way. The picture quality is great and it is still the same and takes up less space on the DVD rack. If you want to complete your series, THIS IS THE WAY TO GO.

""Angels on the Street" scared the crap out of me when I was little - it's unforgettable!" - By vvv (USA)
I think the cray cray in this has to do with the total unawareness of the split personality prostitute whose MEAN when she's a hooker and a total mouse after she's washed off the maquillage. VERY DISTURBING and it would be seen again in Miami Vice which would then be lifted for the Bruce Willis Jane March oeuvre - the name of which escapes me at the moment but it all started with THIS episode.

Coincidentally, the Big Bad in this episode played by Richard Lynch sort of resembles and certainly reminds me of Billie Whitelaw from [[ASIN:B00004R78K The Krays [Region 2]]] which also scared the crap out of me when I saw it.

Angels on the Street is the ULTIMATE Charlie's Angels episode.

I'm actually still scared of this episode. The iminent threat that Kelly and Tiffany experience at close quarters is unwatchable. ... full review

"Shame on ABC" - By J. colon-ocasio (orlando, florida United States)
Being a long time fan of the original series, who also enjoyed the cinematic takes on the franchise, I was eagerly awaiting this show and how it would be transformed for the current masses.
The season opener was adequate enough but it took me a couple more episodes to enjoy and actually fall in love with this cast. The gals, while at times a bit limited by the dialogue, deliver with style. While some action scenes and editing pace sometimes defy the credibility of the plots, I am willing to forgive this because I realize it is pure and simple escapism.
Now I understand ABC has cancelled the series. Too bad. Quite disappointing. In episode 6 we finally get a glimpse of things to come.. when we even find out a bit more history about Bosley and the plot sets off what could be a possible archway ... full review

"A Heavenly Season with an Angel from Los Angeles, one from San Francisco, and the other from Boston" - By Rodney Bogardus (Buffalo, NY)
The fourth season of CHARLIE'S ANGELS, which aired on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on ABC from September 1979 through May 1980, is possibly the season that yields the most dramatic changes in the series, namely Shelley Hack becomes the newest angel, "Tiffany Welles", filling the slot vacated by original actress Kate Jackson. Returning for another tour of duty this season are "Kelly Garret" and "Kris Munroe", played by Jaclyn Smith and Cheryl Ladd respectively, along with faithful sidekick "Bosley", played by David Doyle. Farrah Fawcett's "Jill Munroe" also makes her final three appearances of the series.

With the new angel, also comes a new overall look to the series. With Hack, a former fashion model, on board, all three actresses don dresses, gowns, and tailored suits more often than casual wear. And while attention is taken away from the flesh (the Angels wear fewer bathing suits this season than ... full review

"man, what a great show!" - By kevin k. (st. louis, mo)
i was watching the farrah tribute marathons this week-end and had such a fun time with it that i ordered the first season. hadn't really watched it since it aired (when i was in middle school-- what a perfect age for this show (i'm a dude)) and was really surprised by how enjoyable it is. sure, it's as formulaic as they come, but the cast had great chemistry, the actors acquitted themselves quite nicely, and the show was actually pretty funny (intentionally-- as well as unintentionally of course). and the music was really great (parts actually reminded me of lost's music-- giacchino must have studied 70's t.v. music). plus, you gotta love all the cars crashing down some hill and totally exploding! and then there's all the no-bras and bikinis(kinda the bread and butter of the show, i guess).

anyway, this is a super-fun ... full review

"Heartfelt Romance With Great Performances" - By Dr. Karl O. Edwards (Helena, Montana)
A great romantic love story with a twist of "Touched By An Angel," Mia Kirshner and Radha Mitchell provide enticing and enduring performances that will keep me watching it over and over. I mostly wanted to write this to reiterate that this is a wonderful movie, undeserving of the pans it has received from other reviewers; and to recommend the movie to everyone--except "oaters," because it is not a western. Beyond that, I can only say that the original review is on the money.

Update--1 July 2008: If this review was not helpful to you, I would appreciate learning the reason(s) so I can improve my reviews. My goal is to provide help to potential buyers, not get into any arguments. "Enjoyed the entire series" - By Nancy Docken (Minneapolis, MN, USA)
I thoroughly enjoy watching a series from beginning to end, and this was no exception. Numbers was a cross between "Blue Bloods" and "School House Rock" for grown-ups. I always hoped I'd wake up some morning and Charlie's math lessons would all snap into place in my head. Even though that fantasy never happened, I always appreciated the attempt. It ended on a good note.
