I purchased 3 of Sam Fink's "The Constitution of the United States of America". One for each of my grandsons, ages from 8 to 11. I felt the artwork and antidotal information would help them have a better understanding of the very underpinning of our democracy. Hopefully, as they each reach this chapter of American history in class, they can share it with others.

"A forgotten gem. A piece of history. Missing Bill of Rights." - By Thomas S
I don't think leaving out the Bill of Right was a mistake as they are no longer law in the United States having been over ruled by the Patriot Act. An Act which side steps the archaic rights once deemed important to citizens but in the new century not needed.
An interesting read. A long forgotten document the United States at one time held dear. A revolutionary idea granting individuals inalienable rights that no man or government can take away.
Worth the download to get a glimpse of how the United States was earlier in Her history. It will truly shock you to learn the rights afforded to early Americans. A document that once angered and frightened the Royalty of Europe and International Banks.
Take a fun ride into the wacky past of the United States.(768) -

"A must reference in all Constitutionsl Libraries" - By Keith Mathison (Battle Ground, WA United States)
The original intent of the Constitution is secured by the availability of original source documentation like this, not by modern revisionists who want the twist the meaning of the Constitution for their own arbitrary ends, instead of using the lawful amendment process that gives We-The-Free-People control over changes made. This book should be a reference in all Constitution libraries along with the other original source documents for all who seek the true meaning of the greatest document of freedom ever created.(2) -

List Price: $39.95 Price: $31.05 You Save: $8.90 (22%) "it WAS a coup" - By avidreader
This is a very well written and pretty easy read that teaches us a lot about the making of the constitution - what went into it, what was on the minds of the writers and "voters" when accepting it. Klarman does not write in a dry or boring style rather he gives us an interesting peak at these stories. While it is not a novel "style" in writing it does hold your interest and keep you turning the pages.(56) -

List Price: $16.99 Price: $7.40 You Save: $9.59 (56%) "He Was First" - By Christian Schlect (Yakima, Washington/USA)
George Washington is known to most Americans for his leadership during the Revolutionary War and as our first president. This book looks at his influence and leadership during the half-decade between the conclusion of the war and the start of the federal government under the newly ratified Constitution.
Professor Larson provides the reader with an enjoyable and deeply informative book, one that makes clear the central role Washington played in not only fashioning the content of our country's foundational law, but also in the the practical political process necessary for its not-so-certain ratification.
Along the way, one is reminded of such things as Washington's vision for western expansion and economic growth, why the electoral college came about, how the Bill of Rights was later tacked on, and the intense fight by many leaders of the day against a strong federal government.
