Words don't do this book justice. Yes it's mostly pictures with some text, but if you're a long time Days fan the pictures tell the story. And there are many, many pictures. I've watched for 34 years and I'm hard pressed to find any part of those 34 years that hasn't been covered.
I had purchased the 45 year anniversary book 5 years ago and was extremely disappointed with it because it focused mainly on years 40-45. Greg Meng obviously took the reviews of that book to heart and came up with this exquisite tribute to 50 years in Salem.(243) -

I watched "Days of Our Lives" at age 6 with my Grandmother: I was hooked. I watched it when I was home sick and of course every summer all the way through college. When VCR's finally came into existance I could finally get my daily fix. Then life got too busy and I'd skip through the episodes or sometimes just give up and record over them. Of course I missed a lot of continuity during both the early and mid-life "hit and miss" years , and this book does a remarkable job of filling in the blanks. It is well written, in a very entertaining manner, so you never get as bored as if you were just reading summaries or time-lines. Now I need someone to write a book beginning where this one leaves off.(45) -

This book is really nice. It gives recipes, fitness tips, relaxation ideas, and skin and beauty care - not just for women but for men also.
The pictures are excellent. The paper the book is made out of is the silky type of paper which is very nice. I have been watching this soap opera for many years and other Days of Lives fans would love this book.(86) -

I enjoyed this book. I thought it was clever to continue where the soap opera left off with two of the most appreciated characters on the show...Marlena Evans Black and John Black. It was fast-paced with a love story, of course, and also a mystery. I'm looking forward to reading the next two novels (as yet to be released.) I have pre-ordered them.(50) -

For those who are familiar with Sheri Anderson and her time as head writer on "Days of Our Lives," this is a must read! Some new readers who may be unfamiliar with the show and it's characters will also find themselves wrapped up in Anderson's quick paced and exciting storytelling. Those who have a better grasp on the history of the show may get a lot more out of the story itself, but it can easily be picked up by new and old fans alike.
