"Great dynamo headlight but instructions are unclear" - by NWM
This is a cool LED dynamo bike headlight. To set up, you first push the cotton cap over the metal roller (which drives the dynamo) that will sit against the side of the bike tire. Next, attached the zinc plate to the light. The instructions came on a piece of paper with pictures, but it wasn't clear on how to mount the zinc plate to the light, especially with the various nuts and plates on the bolt. The product pictures and actual product are different and the zinc plates are not the same facing. I just screwed it on the best I could and then attached the zinc plates to the right fork of the bike and it worked. The light is bright and the dynamo works good. Now my kid will always have the light on when he bikes and I don't have to worry about him not turning ... full review

"Great bright light" - by B W
The light was very easy to install. It works great. It is very bright in the daytime, and gives a nice wide even light at night. I am very satisfied.

"Works Fine" - by TomL
Works as advertised. Not much light if you set it under a lamp, even for 24 hours. But set it outside in bright sunlight, and it charges the battery so that it emits a very bright LED light. The crank also works well.

"Reliable light source" - by TANickerson
I'm not a camper, but want a good, reliable light source in case of a power outage. This lantern seems to be well-built and does a much better job of lighting an area than a candle (fire hazard!) or regular flashlight. I did notice, however, that the difference between the low and high settings isn't that marked. One thing I really appreciated is the one-page instruction sheet actually included the approximate times it takes to charge by battery or by solar - no guessing games! I would recommend buying this to have on hand in case the power goes out.

"Nice dynamo light but lacked detailed set up instructions" - by NWMK
This is a nicely made dynamo bike headlight. The great thing about it is that it doesn’t have batteries that need to be changed frequently or rechargeable bike lights that need to be charged. A dynamo light is especially useful for my son who doesn’t comprehend the importance of a bike light even when it isn’t dark and is never bothered to turn on or turn off his bike lights. The light is bright and works great even under low speeds. I was disappointed that the instructions on the product page as well as paper instructions that came with the light were not clear on how to install it. There are various bolts, screws and plates to put together and the pictures were not close-ups so you could see clearly see how they were set up.

"Acceptable and Sturdy. Looks and Feels Trustworthy." - by Underscore (USA)
Original Review - 4/28/16: Upon receiving this product I put it through the usual paces. Cranked the device for roughly 60 seconds and checked the brightness on the 3 settings it offers and each was acceptable. Allowed the device to discharge while lit for roughly 30 minutes in order to gauge how much the brightness would change and the difference was barely noticeable. If I were to leave it on longer I assume eventually it would dim to a point where it was longer useful, but a short minute of cranking again would bring it back to life. I will use this flashlight often and come back at a much later time with a more up to date review of it's long term usefulness.

"Handy, compact and very easy to use - My Go-to emergency flashlight" - by CactusJack (NC, USA)
So far so good. I've owned this nifty little product for a few months now and have been very pleased with it. Last spring we had a bit of a storm come thru central NC and although we own a number of survival/emergency type items, after surviving the inconveniences of that ordeal I knew we needed to add a few more items to our "emergency plan" inventory; This small but powerful solar powered hand crank flashlight is a great addition.

Let me run down a list of categories that I found necessary and important in my purchase of this particular product.

PRICE: At less than 10 bones the price point IMHO is great!! Provided I get some longevity out of the rechargeable internal batteries the savings in replacement batteries is already made up say after 3-5 months of owning it and using it. $10 to give me and my family piece ... full review

"Just like the old school dynamos'" - by Martin W. Divirgilio (florida)
Just like the old school dynamos'. it is really bright, only thing is I have not figured out how to flip the dynamo off the wheel- I saw one, once that did for like, during the day. This one the dynamo is always on the wheel and you can feel the drag on the wheel a bit. But I suppose running lights re not bad. the light has a forward on bulb and a smaller bulb up top. the switch clicks twice- right or left it does not matter. Light is on when starting, click one is just head on light, click 2 is the smaller light that points almost 45degrees down on the road. clicking back to center lights both. Be sure to get the right wire connected to the right output on the dynamo the smaller bulb ( I think 1.5) is the red light- the larger bulb ... full review

"I really happy with the light beam" - by Steven Kennedy
I really happy with the light beam. It it a fairly tight pattern you are not lighting trees 20ft above you. I did notice when at full power there is bright spot patern ahead of you but you can still see the road closer to you clearly the beam not as bright for near objects. I would be willing to purchase again. I have owned many lights catseye, night rider, light and motion, magic shine and I like the beam pattern on this light for road riding. I ride about 3hrs a day in the commuting to work.

"Totally excellent and I recommend these" - by Amazon Customer (JUPITER, FL)
Totally excellent and I recommend these. These produce an amazingly more bright light than one would logically believe. The L. E. D. light produced lasts a long time and with only a short 10 cranking of handle. These are not as durable as they appear and need to be handled carefully. I dropped one on the street surface and it separated into pieces. I snapped the parts right back together again and it still works great. The round hole at the end is a spring loaded clip that opens and attaches it to hang from belt, bag, cord or rope and holds it conveniently and safely. I've used these everyday for about a year on my bicycle riding to work and they are a terrific deal for the money. Never be tied to batteries again! I used these everyday for 6 months successfully, but after 6 months I begin to ... full review
