"Best single player game I've come across, and good multiplayer" - by Trekkie (GAINESVILLE, FL, United States)
I've heard this game described as "a better version of Harbour". Perhaps the "generic" version of Harbour, but that game has unique special character sides to play, this game everyone's space fleet is exactly identical without any unique skills. Which takes away a little bit of desire for replay-ability (it doesn't have the "oooh, this other ability would have made my game so much easier, I can't wait to try it out next time"), but the core mechanics are superior.

Giving it 4 stars for the above limitations. It wouldn't have taken too long to have slight advantages put into place for different races.

But that is its only drawback. Quite amazing dice techniques, lots of different tactics you can take to win, etc. Single player has an actual difficulty to it rather than the mechanically dumb "neutral player" games like Power Grid or Harbour has, and ... full review

"Great way to get your teenagers off their laptops, it seems. :)" - by Nora R. Smith (Spokane, Washington, US)
Did it meet my expectations? Chuckle. It exceeded them by a mile and a half. I bought this for my two 'boys' who have birthdays within two weeks of each other, sort of as a general toy for both, hedging my bets in case one didn't like it, or perhaps one felt 'too mature' for a toy/ game, hoping this way they'd at least want to try it and compare skill levels. It's been a very rewarding experience---they haven't been able to put it down. Even at age 17 and 21 respectively, it seems this is tricky enough to challenge them in a major way, engaging enough to catch and hold their interest, and plain fun enough so they've even conned their sister into 'giving it a try'. (I've even seen my husband try to figure out how it works, but without succumbing to ... full review

"Tiny Epic Quest - HUGE Epic Fun!" - by NateF
I really enjoyed this game. I recently purchased it to bring along on a family vacation. I ended up teaching my 2 nephews, wife, and sister-in-law how to play it. It's a short game, but can be very challenging depending on the order of the map tiles and where the castles are placed. It did take a little while to get used to all the rules as the game is pretty complex with everything you have to do on a move, but it wasn't above the head of a few that would shy away from games like this.

Pros:
- Many ways to win
- Never the same game twice
- Alternate play rules
- Great single-player or multi-player game
- There is a QR code on the instructions linking to a video explaining how to play the game
- Small box for everything

Cons:
- Sometimes games can be too short
- Rules can be a bit foggy in ... full review

"Awesome game, exactly what I was hoping for" - by Mountain Goat
Awesome game, exactly what I was hoping for. Easy to play, I even taught my wife's grandmother the game. Everything you need in one box at an inexpensive price. White Wizard Games impresses me again. A nice compliment to Star Realms.

"I had previously loved tiny epic galaxies and wanted to try this out" - by Claire
I had previously loved tiny epic galaxies and wanted to try this out. It was different enough to be worth a separate game but similar enough to have the same addictive qualities

"Fun game with many ways to play" - by Rustyshack
This Box is Jam packed with goodies. The ITEMMeeples are awesome. The game play is really fun. I've played solo-mode and the 1v4 cooperative so far. This game captures the zombie apocalypse feeling well and is incredibly balanced based on the couple games I've played. I wasn't sure who would win each game until the very end. worth a look!

Only downside is there are several scenarios where the rules are a little ambiguous.

"Epic all sleeved up (UPDATED)" - by Suspence
Well I can't praise Epic enough, the game is fantastic. This cardbox was purchased to store my growing collection and it impressed me for the most part.

Firstly the sleeves are top notch! Excellent quality and I enjoyed how there was 240 sleeves with the Box. Box quality is fine, artwork looks great around the box.
Despite the quality I was upset to find the included promo card was banged up, bent, and rough around the edges. It was like the promo card was tossed into a dryer, or in this case the box, and tumbled around until it was finally released. What's a shame is the promo card is awesome mechanically for gameplay.
If your Epic cards need protection, seek out these sleeves from wherever! They look great, fit right. The box does a decent storage job.

Overall great value for my Epic collection: minus the jacked up promo card :(

"Really Good But A Bit Pricey" - by pete stockdale
Epic is a great card game. Very strategic but the rulebook is poorly written and assumes a background in deckbuilding games. They expansions are really good but pricey.

"A Clever Fantasy Game in a Small Box" - by supe
When I first got the game I was struck by the small size of the box, but that is a large part of what made the game appealing to me. I wanted a game that was more portable than some of my other board games. The next thing that struck me was the beautiful artwork on the cards. All of the cards, even the back of the cards, look fantastic! Then there are the meeples. These aren't ordinary meeples, they have holes in the arms to insert weapons, shields, etc. These tiny insert-able artifacts aren't necessary for game play because you already have artifact cards, but they make the game more fun. And finally, the game plays really well with its solid and simple mechanics, and the difficulty is easily to scale.

"A genius twist on poker" - by A.O.
This is an amazing game with simple rules. It doesn't take that long to learn, and it is super re-playable. I can see myself coming back to this game for years. It has become a household staple due to its blending of monopoly and poker. There's a little bit of luck and a little bit of skill, so go out and give it a try ASAP. I highly recommend it.

"If you like Tiny Epic Galaxies" - by Eric Pitt
If you like Tiny Epic Galaxies, you'll love the enhancement. However, I would wait a few months of playing the original before expanding as the expansion makes the game a little complicated.

"I love how intricate it is" - by Amazon Customer
Very hard and challenging puzzle. I love how intricate it is, fitting in a ball. I am amazed every time at the ingenuity of the creators of this puzzle!

"Fun fast game for a group" - by Throg (Silicon Valley)
Fun fast game for a group. One of the very few games that actually seems to move faster with more people playing.

Pretty quick to pick up, very quick if someone who's played once can explain it. On a "strategy scale" of 0 = massively random (e.g. Flux) to 5 = purely strategic (e.g. Chess), I'd put this at about a 2.

"Excellent gameplay, especially with Tyrants" - by Suspence
To start off, I've already purchased and reviewed the base game of Epic awhile ago. I love playing this game. This set popped up on Amazon and I had to buy it!
For fans of Magic the Gathering or other TCG's, "Epic" is a definite buy.
As a MTG player I can describe Epic as playing an intense game of poker mixed with the intense Eldrazi battles from the first draw!
The base set contains 120 cards, of 4 different color factions. What makes the game great is its easy to shuffle and play, or draft a deck with a friend and see who comes out on top.
I purchased this bundle for a few reasons. I wanted another base set so I can construct some more decks with the cards I favor most, AND I wanted fresh game play with the Tyrants expansion added to the game.
I love the new Tyrants cards, my ... full review
