"The bible for bloggers!" - By Kimberlee Van Der Wall
I just finished reading this book, which only took me a few shorts hours and I loved it. As a fashion blogger myself, I found it so helpful.

Get your highlighters and pens ready! Yuli gives great tactical advice for bloggers. I found myself marking up the pages with lots of notes. She provides her insider knowledge that she has gain after years of experience. I especially found the Fashion Week section helpful because she explained how to approach them if your registration gets declined at first. It is possible to get in!

She interviews success stories such as Gala Darling and What I Wore. I love how she pointed out that we (bloggers) are all in this together. When you work with brands or go to Fashion Week, remember you are still representing all bloggers. So if they have a bad experience with you, they'll assume all ... full review

"Great tips!" - By Leora Eisenberg
This book is a great intro to fashion blogging! It really provides some great advice and insight into making a successful blog. Note, however, that this is aimed at professional bloggers who have money to put into this!

    "Awesome" - By Danielle Celeste
I am so glad I bought this book. It will serve to be immensely helpful to me as I place a very strategically placed heeled bootie onto my rear and get my blog going again -- hello-danielleceleste.blogspot. It's half-baked now, but I'm getting cooking with this tomette;-)

"... Emily's book definitely delivers all of the things you love about the blog in book form" - By Pen Name
I have been a fan of Cupcakes and Cashmere's blog for years and Emily's book definitely delivers all of the things you love about the blog in book form. I really like how Emily organized the book by seasons and touches on a style, makeup, entertaining, and food based on season. I have picked up a lot of great tips on simple changes to your makeup routine to incorporate through each season. Previously I kept the same makeup/skincare routine year around, but a lot more sense is made to add moisture in the dry winter months and other great tips!

"Insights on the fast paced technology changes for the fashion industry" - By Rosario
Nice and easy recommended reading if you are interested in the combination of technology + fashion.

Two of the reasons that prompted me to read this book were its powerful description: "A forecast of digital trends set to disrupt the fashion industry" and the interesting author's career, Yuli Ziv.

The 4 key points I extracted
    - Influencers: empowered (by a significant number of followers) individuals that by sharing their fashion outfits are getting premium commissions from brands or networks (most of them fashion bloggers).
    - Social media provide a new way for brands to gather information and inspiration directly from final customers, allowing them to identify designs with the most commercial potential.
    - Personification: customers are willing to know more about who are the people behind the brands they like, and be able to directly interact with them to establish a real connection.
    - The decreasing importance of ... full review

"great read" - By Chole Peck (CA)
Excellently written and so interesting and fun to read. Even though he's a professor, it's not at all too academic. It gave me a new perspective on why fashion is important to the field of anthropology.

"It's a good, juicy" - By Laura H. Beck (Alameda, CA)
Amy Odell is hilarious and this book is a treasure. It's a good, juicy, behind the scenes read about fashion from someone who is not part of the world and so she dishes on all the things a non-fashion person wants to know about. This is a book I'll read more than once because the stories are so damn good. A++++

"Great inspiration book" - By B
I don't agree with the other costumer who said this book is better because the pictures are " closer ".the format of the book is the same as before. It's even close to the first book in the number of close ups they have included. However like Scott himself mentions, he is closer to his subjects. Each picture has a story, more so than the last time.it used to be just about an interesting combination of clothing articles for Scott, but now, in his second book, you can see that people DO matter as well. The subject, their facial structure or emotions, their visual position and background, all that come into play. Schumann tries to capture each person in their own element and habits and life style to present the most and that's why I love this book so much better than the first. Although if you are into street style, ... full review

"We really CAN be stylish AND old (at the same time!)" - By Barbara B. (Oregon, USA)
When I began a blog about older women, I searched and searched for images of mature ladies who were stylish, fashionable, independent, "authentic" and confident. They were harder to find than diamonds in a teacup. There just weren't very many -- even in stock image sites. Then, I discovered Ari Seth Cohen's Advanced Style site and found the role models I needed.

This book is more of the same thing you'll find on his blog site -- women who are beautiful (in a special way!) and stylish (and some, downright outlandish). The photos themselves are great, with none of the stupid "model" poses with pouty lips and ridiculous postures. These are exceptional women, but REAL women too. In truth, few of us will ever be able to pull off the type of style they do, but as I thumb through the book, I almost THINK I can, and that's ... full review

"Gory gory but sweet." - By Deborah (USA)
I actually love her voice. She's funny and wry, intelligent and witty. She's got great stories and a unique way of telling them. Actually she reminds me so very much of me that I can't help but love her. The one thing that was painful for me was the animal abuse. I just don't think animal abuse is funny. I understand she grew up in rural Texas. (What DO Texans have against innocent animals anyway?!) I get that her hunter and taxidermist father also raised baby animals (that he had orphaned by killing their mothers) and set them free. I get it. He's oh so "complicated". More like he's a one-man horror show that belongs in an archaic carnival touring the deep south. I just don't find killing animals funny. The dead bears and endless deer. I've lived with deer, and a backyard (free and wild of course) bear. These ... full review

"Cut and ironed winner" - By fashionated
An outstanding compilation by a passionate fashion and construction fundi ... having made pants patterns for the high fashion industry, I marvelled at the lengths the author went to in his exploration and demystifying of making trousers - which can certainly seem overwhelming - the attention to detail - I loved the photographs and was impressed with the very high overall standard. Would I had had access to such great materials when I studied fashion design, fit and construction and began working in the industry 30 years ago..... it would have been so much easier.... all laid out for me .... and then too such incredible value for money. I endorse this excellent book whole-heartedly! Get it! You will not regret it!!

"Very informative for all bloggers!" - By Corrina Jean
I read Ms. Jorgensen's previous book "How To Start An Internet Business: 7 Ways to Turn Your Passion into Profit." That book helped me launch my own website and, even though I'm not an in-depth fashion writer, I read this book to gain more insight into running my own blog.

The book is vey informative and offers step by step guides to get your blog going. From start to finish, this book will help you launch your site and offers tips to turn your love of fashion into a career.

I recommend this book for bloggers who are into fashion and even for those who aren't fashionistas, but are interested in it. This book will help you decide if fashion blogging is right for you and, if it is, will help you get started!
