"Worth the wait!" - By Mimi LaRue
Great continuation of the series. Loved the growth for both Charlie and Lincoln in which they learned new things about themselves and each other that pushed them along in their personal development as well as their relationship. Some mysteries solved and some new doors opened for future stories. As always, I can't wait for the next in the series.

"A wonderful read." - By Annette Jones
This story involving a detective whose reluctance to continue his investigation agency after his partner died soon turns to determination when a case of a missing heiress is waiting for him on his return to San Francisco in the late 1890's, early 1900's. A fantastic read for those who enjoy not only the acrobatics needed for a good mystery, but also enjoy delving into a bit of history even in a fictional sense. Mrs. Flynn's dance with words is choreographed so precisely that one is left almost breathless by its beauty. She brings history to life with her vivid descriptions for a background while never forgetting the star of the show, the mystery of an abduction. From the moment Atticus Riot steps back into San Francisco after traveling when his partner died in their last investigation, one begins to unite with him. An old friend greets him with cocked grin ... full review

"Compelling and honest" - By Carol Talbot (Tiverton, RI United States)
When I had heard through a friend about this book being out, I was curious. I purchased it here on Amazon and was anxious when I got it delivered to my home. I immediately started to read it. From the first chapter until the end I was drawn to the book and couldn't bring myself to put it down. It was so raw and honest and REAL! I am from Rhode Island and lost a friend in this tragic fire so it was very emotional for me to read but Gina did an amazing job, with the help of others. Thank you Gina. I will cherish this book forever. I hope one day to have the honor of shaking your hand (or a hug)for sharing your story with us. I recommend all to read this, even if you did not lose a ... full review

"Gage made the book worth the read for me!" - By Becky Loves 2 Read
    3.5 Stars

This book was a struggle for me. I wanted to love it as much as I loved Taking Chances (and yes I LOVED it even though it ripped my heart out, chewed it up and spit it back out!). But it just didn't happen. I think there are a couple of reasons for that and I will do my best to explain!

First, I need to get this off my chest....bear with me because this has nothing to do with why I was only in like with this book. Tyler is a total but! Not even at the end did I feel he redeemed himself. There were so many times in this book that I wished there was a punch this character button attached! I have never wanted a character to go away as much as I did him! He was a total douch bag! How ... full review

"From The Ashes" - By Jolly Holly (Tallahassee)
I bought this book from Amazon when it came out. I started reading it then I received a Kindle Touch. I thought "This is too cool" so I ordered the Kindle edition of "From the Ashes", so that at age 70 I could be considered among the cool. Shades of the Da Vinci Code, National Treasure, Robert Ludlum, Jack Higgins and many other writers and books listed as "cool beans." Jeremy is "hold on to your seat" cool. Plot thickens. Characters become real They become your friends. A wild read! When Burns' second book comes out people will say of me, "Old man, you're too cool and way ahead of the curve." I'll just smile and say, "I knew Jonathon Rickner before he was super cool."
    "Wow."
    "Cool."
