"Fun for our whole family" - By Sue Stuever Battel (Michigan, USA)
I wanted a game for our family that elementary kids and adults could play (ages 6, 10 and parents), yet something without a board or too many pieces that our two toddlers would knock over and mess up while we're trying to play. (Monopoly was definitely out!) This fit the bill. It's just trivia cards and a die. You determine if each player needs easy or hard questions (kids got easy, adults hard). It was easy enough that my 6-year-old won a lot of cards and didn't feel like she had no chance to win as is the case with many other games. Hard questions were enough that my husband and I didn't feel like we were bulldozing the kids.

This particular Prof. Noggin game was ideal for us because we've been studying American history in our homeschool. It's nice to find a fun way to extend the learning! ... full review

"So fun!" - By Shonna Counter
Perfect game for all game types... hard core or party gamers alike. I have a hard time finding things that appeal to both of my groups of friends ad this is a great cross over game.

"What a great game! Several friends got together for a fun ..." - By Amazon Customer
    What a great game!
Several friends got together for a fun weekend, and I brought this new game. The initial reaction was not enthusiastic when I described the game. ("Sounds like a history class!) But as we started the game, everyone loved it. The variety of dates and milestones was so interesting, and we were fascinated to learn when various events happened - substantially different than our guesses.
I absolutely love this game. It is fun for a big or small group, and I even play it myself.

"Great for mixing education and fun" - By Tim S (Des Moines, IA USA)
This game is easy for kids to learn and fun to play, plus it gives adults a challenge...we don't know as much American History as we think!

"Our hottest and favorite filler game" - By charles washington (Houston)
I bought this because it looked like a good game to play with my girlfriend. Who knew her little brother, 8, would like it, she would love it, my casual gaming group call for it by name, and my hard core gaming group clamored enough that I bought the other 3 expansions.

Though this is technically the second expansion of the base game, the Historical Events deck is the best introductory deck, followed by the original Timeline : Inventions deck. The 2nd deck, Discoveries, gets the most complaints from my casual group (lots of MBAs and doctorates in this group) due to dates, but all 3 current games are good and I've pre ordered the 4th.

"My kids are 8 and 10 and love the eye found it games" - By Jean
My kids are 8 and 10 and love the eye found it games. We have the Disney version too but they got bored with it so we tried this . It's a bit different.

"A smart, challenging, and informative game" - By Geowhiz
A well produced, basically simple, but challenging game. "Historical Figures" encompasses a wide range: there are personalities from political history, sports, literature, finance, and more. The task is to identify them on the basis of four clues, the first being very general and the next three being increasingly specific. They are not esoteric figures—most of us have either heard of them or, for younger players (age 12 and up), it's a good way to acquire some historical literacy. Definitely not a dumb down game, but really interesting and a great starting point for discussion (and some laughs).

"Perfect for home schooling!" - By PBnWhine (Vista, CA USA)
I’m a huge fan of games that TEACH!! How about a good ole game of Go Fish? What if that Go Fish game was about American History?!?! I KNOW!! How brilliant is that!? You actually can play all sorts of different games with this deck of cards. DH and I try and stump each other. Yeahhhhh, I don’t wanna play against him any more. The man remembers EVERYTHING!! I’m positive he can recite the Gettysburg address and his junior high school locker combination. I, on the other hand, not so much!! I’m lucky if I remember all my children’s names by the end of the day.
These cards are a great refresher for me and fun effective learning tools for the kids!

"Easy Educational Fun-Great for homeschool" - By Mom and Teacher (Michigan)
It is an easy way to review or learn about Ancient Civilizations. The game is a deck of cards and one dice. There is nothing to set up just take the cards out of the box and your done. If we don't have alot of time, I pick a small number like 6 and say who ever gets six cards first win. If you are going on a trip, these games are small and easy to play anywhere. The other great thing about this game is if you do lose a card the game is not ruined. You could even play it in a car.

"Loads of fun for all ages!" - By Pamela (Oregon)
We played this twice: once with my young niece and nephew and their grandparents and once with my in laws. Both times we had a ton of fun, so don't think this is a game only for kids. The box says 8 and up, but my seven year old niece and five year old nephew both played pretty well with a little help from the grown ups.

The basic premise is to put events (in this case, inventions) in chronological order. Some are easy, particularly when you're first starting your round and have lots of leeway in your timeline. Once the game advances, though, finding the right spot on the timeline gets much more complicated. The game is really interesting to history buffs, but even my mother-in-law, who hated history classes, had fun trying to figure out what was invented when.

Each round of the game took around ... full review

"Great gift" - By Robert Schmick
We love to play this game as a family. The different levels of questions make it easy for everyone to play. The only reason I gave this game 4 stars instead of 5 is the spinner. There is no way to secure it to the board and it often comes off when spinning.
