This is a good cut of the movie. The bonus scenes are interesting and a couple of them really add to the story and make some of the characters more interesting. There are a few extra scenes that are just filler though. The movie itself is really good as is the original DVD. However the special features in this unrated edition are not that great. For example there is no commentary in this version. They easily could have used the existing commentary. There would only be slight gaps in the commentary during the new scenes. Also the other special features are fairly weak.
Overall a good movie but the extras are lacking. If you have the original version stay with that and maybe rent the unrated version and see if it is something you'd like. I own both because I'm a big fan of the movie but many people ... full review(404) -

I like most of the movies Alicia Silverstone is in. I thought this movie was entertaining but i can see it as just a tv movie, im not suprised it wasnt in the theatres. It is probably on the same level or a little bit better than the babysitter which also starred Alicia silverstone. Movie is about a girl who is fascinated and interested in crime and detective work. Soon a fellow classmate is murdered and she starts to investigate the case along with the police officer played by ( matt dillon). While shes investigating signs are pointing to dillan as the killer and then things get worse from there. This was a pretty good thriller and if you like this i recomend the crush and the babysitter as well. Overall good story.(34) -

Never ever was so caught up in a tv series that makes me want to keep on buying. And rootin for not just the dillon panthers but their excellent coach eric taulor. Given I was not a fb fan til I saw the first show! Lol! Now I'm intobuying the 1st, 2nd and 3rd. But "y'all" just know how to taylor fans n this is one show that shoulda never ended. Just fell so in love with that Landry character and yet they are all such excellent actors that you gotta resist having favorites. They all just aim for the heart!!! I got into this show for 2 reasons. The first one is I love football. The second one is that I loved the movie.
Now I didn't think this show was going to be nearly as good as the movie, since it's not based on a true story and it's on a TV budget... not a movie budget. But I still wanted to give it a try. And man am I glad I did. Friday Night Lights is MUCH more than just some dumb football show. Yes it does have football and yes it's centered on football, but in all honesty, it feels like football is just a secondary to the great story that we have going on right before our eyes.

This movie from the late 70s, loosely based on the life of Jimmy Hoffa, about a labor leader, Frank Kovak, who makes a Faustian bargain with the mob for which he ultimately pays the price, was done before Stallone became locked into the ironjawed superhero mode. In the early scenes of the movie, he is still able to display the qualities of charm, humor and humanity that distinguished his performance in the orginal Rocky and, further back, in The Lords of Flatbush.
Moreover, the film is graced with strong supporting performances. In particular, I would single out Tony Lo Bianco's performance as the mob boss, Babe Milano, to whom Stallone turns when the survival of his trucker's union is on the line, for its chillingly effective qualities of understated and insinuating menace, especially from an actor who I have found to be prone to overacting.

Let's start with what a great cast we have here. Matt Dillon, Willem Dafoe, Neal McDonough, Amy Smart and an almost unrecognizable Tom
Berenger. Great acting jobs by all. Matt Dillon is a convict who turns state evidence and is telling on all the Louisiana big wig crooks. They don't like that. He goes undercover and well....lots of bad things happen. Willem is the local cop trying to get him a fair shake so he can spend time with his wife and child. Lots of action and I won't tell anymore because I would be giving too much away. We do have the usual federal lunkheads who will and usually do mess things up.(1,323) -
