I have seen this film three times now, and I love it a little more every time I view it. If you are one for dark and twisted films, you must see this masterpiece from Park Chan-wook. If you think a film can't simultaneously be a love story AND a demented and violent exploration of imprisonment AND a mesmerizing crime/revenge drama AND perverse erotica, well... this movie will prove you wrong within a captivating and visually lush environment. This film will be one of my favorites of all time for so many reasons. The plot moves fast, and takes you on a bunch of surprising turns. Every little thing that is going on and everything you see has unexpected meaning that will be explored later. Character development is phenomenal. Cinematography is gorgeous. What's not to love?

This is a wonderfully well written and well directed drama. It is not the ordinary, over the top drama. The actors, Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki, did an exceptional job. The DVDs came in a beautiful set. I highly recommend this drama. You won't be disappointed. The English subtitles were very good.(20) -

I caught this little known movie (to me anyway) on a free cable week-end and cannot speak highly enough about it. It does take awhile to slow down and go with the flow of the characters and environment before realizing I did not want to take even a brief bathroom break or I might miss some of the "action." Big city Mom needs to get her finances back in order and places her son with her rural, mute (Korean) mother. Grandson is NOT happy at all and only when his batteries run out does he interact with his new environment and grandmother much at all. The actress who played the grandmother had never seen a movie before acting in this one? Amazing! The movie is dedicated to grandmothers everywhere--stated at the end. First, the seller (timothyng001) happens to live in my city. She was great in providing personal communication as the DVD shipped all the way across town. "Spellbound" was really entertaining with a captivating storyline, original plot, nice production, and good acting (especially my favorite, Son Ye Jin). My wife and I enjoyed this Korean comedy with a story that hung together. The subtitling was well done and kept the story flowing smoothly. I highly recommend this film, especially for Son Ye Jin fans.(32) -

Rebellious high school senior Joon-Soo (Jang Geun-Seuk) has to grow up fast when he finds an abandoned baby boy (Mason Moon) at the supermarket. He's temporarily on his own, as his fed-up parents have recently "run away from home". While Mom and Dad relax at the local spa, the 18-year-old "dad" learns the fine art of baby care, with a little help from his friends and a single father's support group. Then he brings the kid to school and causes a minor scandal. Fine performances from Jang Geun Seuk, Kim Byeol as a brainiac girl who knows all about babies, and of course that adorable tot. Recommended for anyone old enough to read the subtitles.(104) -
