"They do have a pretty strong chemical smell to them" - by Bryan Pettit
These blankets were a deal Compared to buying them at a moving box store.
They do have a pretty strong chemical smell to them. We washed out a thoroughly before putting them on our furniture to move and store. Then the washer has the chemical smell but but easily remidied by running the washing machine cleaning Cycle with the clorox washing machine cleaner

"Good but alternatives subbed in with no notice." - by C. Ozereko (DC)
We ordered three 12-packs for our upcoming move. This review isn't so much about the performance, although they look like they will do the job. Rather, two of the 12-packs were not what is pictured at all. I think they will be an adequate substitute and our move is too soon to pursue a replacement. If that matters to you, beware. If not, go for it.

I am including pictures of what we got. The one in the white wrapper is what we received two of.

"Use them in recording" - by David G. Beneke (Los Angeles, CA)
Same as a sound blanket, only a lot cheaper! Put them in layers, where I need extra sound dampening. They really do a great job!

"Does the job" - by feldspars
These things really work. I'm pushing a huge armoire around without any problems. Just hate having to put them on and take them off to move the furniture. Leaving them on is just not an option as they ruin the look of the furniture.

"Good purchase" - by Mike Novak
Solidly built and smell is not bad at all. Used them and washed them a few times now with good results. Not sure what all the complaints are about, these work fine. Sure, they are not as thick as a $500 comforter, but at this price just double wrap and you are still way ahead of the game.

"Excellent moving blankets, even better price" - by Derek D.
Needed these for moving across town to protect my furniture and what do you know - it did the trick. Only moving blankets I could find that were a decent size that didn't cost me a fortune to buy and use one time. Highly recommend these moving blankets and they came in time!

"Great for moving heavy furniture." - by John Pappas (Baltimore, MD United States)
These were received very quickly and are extremely helpful in moving furniture across wood or carpeted floors. Even with an entertainment center with stocky legs these are a great size to place underneath.

"Good multi purpose blankets." - by WAS
Good moving blankets and for multi purpose use. l bought these to prevent scratches to my furniture. They did a real good job. They are not professional grade but still good enough for moving. l used two to wrap a 65" flat screen tv of which there were no scratches or damage. They now come in handy for furniture protection during my home renovation as well as drop cloth for painting.

Usually ships within 1 to 2 months.
"Not a substitute for moving blankets!" - by JJ (Tucson, AZ United States)
I recently moved cross country and rented moving "pods" instead of driving all my stuff myself in a rental truck. The only down side to the pod method is that the company doesn't rent moving blankets with the pods. I bought these as a cheaper alternative than moving blankets. They are thinner than I was expecting, and really are not useful for moving furniture long distances. However, I found them to be useful in wrapping picture frames (quite large ones with glass) and table legs I had removed from the table tops.

"We use these as under layment for the guinea pig ..." - by Alissa A (CUNNINGHAM, KY, United States)
We use these as under layment for the guinea pig cage. They do shed the first time you wash them and turn anything they come in contact with blue. After a few washings the shedding and dye bleeding stop. The only reason I knocked off one star is because of the incredible shrinkage. Even if you where using them for the intended purpose as moving blankets I would assume you'd want to wash them every so often.

"It's a moving blanket" - by jakebuck
I don't know what everyone is expecting with their bad reviews.. it's a moving blanket. They tear. They're not meant to be the strongest blanket ever made. It's supposed to keep things from scratching your stuff. Works as needed.

"Good quality product" - by Justin
The stitching was great. Most moving blankets are not this well put together. I tear them up pretty quick, and this one has already outlasted my expectations.
