"Once you read this book, you will never forget what the public economics should be." - By Fei Chia Lu (Taipei)
It is a typical book subject to the students who have the great interesting in the public economics.
The materials are intensive and are full of challenges.

Once you read it, you will never forget the goal of this subject.
The publication company has no plans to release the second edition or second printing book this moment.
When I study in the Fu-Jen University Economic department, I do hope to buy a new one in some day.
    Wish it will come true.

"Love love love this book!" - By Marguerite Abaddonais
I have to read this book for a class in college and I have to say, it's probably the most concise and clearly written introduction to economics and public issues I've ever encountered. Not only is it well written, it was exceedingly well edited. Nothing in this book is superfluous and everything is relevant. I would read this book even if it wasn't assigned reading. It's very even-handed, it's academic without being boring, but basically the point of the book is that there's no free lunch: Public issues are issues for a reason; there is no magical system that will result in no cost somewhere to someone, and sometimes measuring the outcomes is impossible until you've already chosen a path.

This book deals with some very serious issues in an engaging and thought provoking way, and it's a pretty easy read. You do not ... full review

"A Disheartening Inside View of our Federal Government in Action -" - By Loyd Eskildson (Phoenix, AZ.)
Author Champ previously worked at the SEC (1/25/2010 = start), and now periodically teaches an investment management law class at Harvard. Before that, he'd worked as an attorney in the hedge fund business. On that day no one gave him a job description of his responsibilities as head of examinations of investment firms in N.Y. and N.J. and supervising about 100 examiners, or advised him of problems at the SEC as it and other regulators supposedly struggled to lead us out of the 2008 financial crisis.

Previously he'd been warned while interviewing for the job that some employees were capable of anything to stop change - especially coming from someone like him who had not conducted exams before. Champ listened, but couldn't believe that examiners at an agency that had failed to detect major fraud would not want assistance from someone with background in investment funds. Wrong! He soon ... full review

"The love of money has made people mad with jealousy" - By Jim Reinhart
Universities, business and policy makers around the world now participate in the activities Mr. Perkins writes about in this book. If you have read the first book, this is a necessary update. Business greed and astroturfed science has usurped the fundamental premise of each for the benefit of power barons and their lust for more. The love of money has made people mad with jealousy, envy, greed, hate, contempt... He identifies that the sycophants for oligarchs are out of control and that anything goes to the detriment of community, family and faith. The tragedy is the destruction of civility, social cohesion by the use of a scorched earth mentality. I find Mr. Perkins to be an enlightend man warning us of the reality of the true face of the global economy which reaches new lows in actions of depravity.

"A pivotal study of the Great Depression and the New Deal" - By Jake Le Master (Irvine, CA)
This book is primarily a financial history of the years 1913-46, although, as the title suggests, it covers a wider range. Several chapters are devoted to foreign financial developments and to political changes that affected financial conditions. From 1920 to 1939 the author was economist for the Chase National Bank in New York and wrote the often brilliant Economic Bulletin's published by that bank. He has drawn extensively on them in writing this book. As a Chase Bank officer he had a "front seat" at numerous events of national and international moment and he knew personally many political and financial leaders. The book thus has an autobiographical and journalistic tone too.

Anderson had definite cogent positions on the causes of various crises, on the validity of certain economic theories, and on the reasons for some of the world's ills. He backs these vigorously with logic, history, personal anecdotes, and ... full review
