    "Classic Simpsons" - By Don
This one will always be a classic. I started watching the Simpsons on the Tracy Ullman show when the Fox network was still fairly new. My kids grew up watching the Simpsons... a lot of people tried to tell me that was a bad influence, but throughout the series I saw both good and bad influences, and most of all, the show touched on current events and attitudes thru parody and direct references.

"It's hard to say anything original by now...but here goes..." - By lighten_up_already2 (Kirkland, WA USA)
I've had great fun so far watching this DVD set. In particular:

    1. "There's no Disgrace Like Home". My favorite episode of the first season. I was single when this first aired on TV. Now I have a family. Now I really get it. Been there; done that.

    2. The out-take of several minutes of botched up animation for "Some Enchanted Evening" presented with and without commentary.

    3. The ONE short from Tracy Ulman. Not all of them, just one. But it's priceless.

    4. Comparing the animation quality from these first cartoons with the way the episodes are done now.

I'm looking forward to reliving the rest of these first season episodes. WooHoooo!

"That Totally Fun Thing..." - By jj
Review for "That Totally Fun Thing Bart Will Never Do Again". When most people think of recent The Simpsons seasons, you'll hear about how the quality of the jokes, characters and storyline has fallen off since the late 90s. However, this episode is one of the best in the series regardless of season. From Homers hilarious views on vacations, the montage of Barts week and even some deep existentialism, this episode has it all. It feels like an episode we'd get in the series prime. Filled with good writing, humor and even emotion, I feel like this belongs in the list of classic episodes.

"Not as good as many of the previous seasons" - By Jason V (Tampa Bay)
Not as good as many of the previous seasons, but that's a high bar to reach. It's still one of the best comedy series on television.

    "Simpsons Season 22 - Episode 21 - 500 Keys" - By Matt Barnett
This is one of my favorite Simpsons episodes. Why? It's a great story that's also a mystery with setups and payoffs. Just good, solid writing.

On the comedy side it contains a Nancy Drew bit that still makes me laugh out loud. If you've seen it, you know what I'm talking about. Just an absolute slapstick funny moment. There's also a funny gag with Chief Wiggum.

    Plus this line from Lisa:

"I've discovered a mystery, wrapped in a riddle in the basement of a lousy school."

    "500 Keys"

    An excellent episode.
