These filters - for my Hustler Raptor SD with Kohler engine - are surprisingly hard to find in stores. Was very glad to find someplace where I could order and stock up on these for my mower. After about 20 hours on my new 23 HP Vanguard engine I decided to change the oil filter and the oil for the 1st time. If you want to prevent violating the manufacturers warranty don't use any other brand. The cost of an oil filter is cheap insurance for an expensive engine like mine.(56) -

After looking at a number of sites to compare prices for this oil filter for my home's standby generator, this was by far the best overall price I found. Don't waste your money on cheap replacement filters. A filter is cheap enough, so why not keep your oil filtered properly. From observing the oil when I change mine, it looks like this filters does a great job.(257) -

I have a new Scag Liberty Z, Zero turn mower. The Engine on my mower is a Kohler 24 HP KT-735. After the first 10 hours of use, I am supposed to change the oil and filter. So, I hit my first 10 hours and looked for the same filter on Amazon that came with my Scag - it was a kohler 12 050 01 filter. I could not find that particular filter, but ran across this one with the same number but with a "S" at the end of the part number. I could not find anything that explained what the "S: meant, but otherwise the part number was the same. So, I gave it a chance.
So, it looks like the "S" at the end of the part number stands for "Short." This filter is shorter than the one that came on my mower, but it fit ... full review(569) -

I gave this oil filter 4/5 stars only because when the oil filter is seeded tight but not too tight it seals itself to the point you need to use a pipe strap to tighten it and winds up crushing the canister. But if you don't go too, tightly, it should come off easily. Just be careful.(232) -

I was not certain of a fit as all reviewers do no indicate what Briggs and Stratton engine they have and the two who did have 24 hp models..mine is 21 hp..but I took a chance based on size and color and it was perfect....oil change without a hitch and no leaks first time I spun it on. Quite a saving over the orginal part from where I bought the tractor. This will be a yearly purchase.(110)
