"Maybe too intense for some kids" - By Opinion Mommie
I thought these would be good for my 8 year old, but the story line turned out to be a bit too scary for her. Maybe if you have a child who doesn't get scared by "end of the world survival" type scenarios....

    "Great book" - By acb
I loved this book! There were some stuff I didn't like however, like the fact that it leaves you on a giant cliffhanger, and you have to wait so long for the next book! However, I would recommend it to everyone.

"Good start to the second arc!" - By Kennedy
This was a good start to the second arc of the series. Though it is definitely a lot slower and not as much action as the previous book I love how the relationship that the dogs have with each other have developed. Storm is a good POV though I have to admit I do miss Lucky's POV a little. This book leaves us with a huge cliffhanger and a tragic ending. I can't believe how long I am going to have to wait for the next book!

"Great book" - By W Gaines (Wake Forest, NC, US)
WOW! Great book, I can't believe how much the book throws at you! Crazy dogs, dogs choosing the name storm before the Storm of dogs, fighting out of the blue. And it gets a little SAD:( at some at parts, good characters dead. Anyway this is a MUST READ!

"Wonderful, intriguing; and great for adults as well as older children." - By SiberianIce
This is a great addition to Survivors. I've been wondering more about Moon, and what Sweet did when she just up and gone for a pack in the first book. I was also curious what made Alpha so evil. Overall, if you are a fan of any/all of the characters or are just interested in their stories, this is a great buy. Both Alpha and Sweet were bullied, and I shouldn't say more. This is well-written and it was very interesting to learn more about these characters. I can't wait for the next Survivors book.

"A great short story" - By Skylar Smith (New York, New York)
If you are in touch with the full survivors series you most likely do not like Alpha. Well you probably wanted to know why Alpha is so mean. This book supplies a full explanation. Recommend for kids age 10 and up.

    "good series" - By McKay
My middle school aged boy has read all of these and really likes them. So far he has liked everything by Erin Hunter that he has tried. He is not a bookworm so to find an author he will read by choice is awesome.

"Wonderful stories for young animal lovers" - By Carolyn Branch (Fulton, MO USA)
My granddaughter is reading this series and now has more enthusiasm for pleasure reading than she ever had before. She has been sharing with a friend, who is also loving all the Erin Hunter series.

    "Heartfelt" - By linda arnold
I love the way the dogs have the fellings for thier owners and each other.
Also the wild and the lone dogs have had to organize themselves which
make them tougher but not unchangeable.
The conversations are what we as humans sometimes suspect that
    our own dogs are having.

"Great addition to the Survivor's Club Series" - By TracyJane (Brookfield, CT)
No one writes a better story about disabled/handicapped characters better than Mary Balogh. No one. She makes you feel for them, not just their physical injuries but their mental and emotion ones as well. She makes us privy to the day to day struggle these characters endure to just survive - it gives the reader an entirely new prospective of the character.

In this story we focus on Ben. He was injured in the war and has fought tooth and nail to walk again and he does after a fashion. He has become a bit depressed because he has finally come to the realization that he will never be the man he was before the war and is at a loss with what to do with his life.

He meets Samantha while he is out riding and they almost have an accident. They are both angry and ... full review

"A Book to Remember" - By Kathy A. Holbrook
While this book is a well deserved tribute to human and canine heroes, it also provides much detail that can only come from those at the scenes. Detail that is hard to comprehend, yet, is necessary to know, so that we never forget. This book will remain in my house, in a place of honor, for the rest of my life.

    "amazing" - By Cristo
A bit slow at first, but the pace picked up once Sweet joined the pack. The rivalry between her and Beta was amazing, especially when Beta almost led coyotes into camp trying to get rid of Sweet. This makes me miss Fiery, though, and shows that Alpha isn't actually as bad as he seems until the Leashed Dogs joined. 5 out of 5, 9 out of 10.

"Unusual but Truly Excellent" - By Blue Wind Kami (Colorado)
Reading the reviews of this and other "In Death" books, I've noticed that sprinkled among the many enthusiastic, positive reviews are a few expressing discomfort, even active disapproval, over Eve's untraditional marriage and straightforward personality. "She's a horrid person because she doesn't want children (as though the only possible good woman was a maternal one)." "Why can't she be more "womanly" (i.e. a stereotypical clothes-, appearance- and kids-obsessed woman)?" "Why can't she be nicer (i.e. subservient) to Roarke?"

First, please look again at the relationship between Nixie and Eve. Those who are condemning Eve's attitude towards Nixie seem to have skipped or skimmed over the subtleties and nuances of their interactions at, for instance, the end of Chapter 12 where Eve tells Nixie it's OK to be mad and that justice will be done, Chapter 20 where Nixie tells Eve"You're not really mean" (loved Eve's ... full review
