I bought this game for my 9-year-old son. While it was fun to play, we seemed to be able to hang all the pieces. One day I happened to be at a thrift store and there was a set for sale - so I bought it. I am so glad I did - this game is way more fun with more pieces. While we did discover that you could make the base twice as high with the second set - the weight caused it to topple over. So if you do buy two sets, just use the regular sized base and all of the squiggly pieces. My 5-year old likes playing it by himself and getting all the pieces to balance symmetrically (I should have taken a picture, as it was pretty cool).(2,584) -

We’re a family that tries to play a game together once a week, and I’m a huge Trivial Pursuit nerd, so this was right up my alley. I’ve been wanting to introduce my oldest to this game for a long time, so was super excited to see this new family edition.
Though basically the same idea as the classic Trivial Pursuit, this has been streamlined, with slightly different rules (you no longer have to land on special squares to get pie pieces), which makes this much quicker to play and, honestly, easier, less arcane and more mainstream questions in all categories.
There are two decks. One for adults, and another for kids. Both include all question categories with the kids best suited for 7-13 year olds, with the “adult” version geared towards mid-teens and up.
While I found this less challenging than the classic versions, my husband ... full review(300) -

Price: $19.97 "Knock-off -- get the real game" - By Dawnya Still
The version I received was a knock off from China First of all, the package arrived completely smashed! When we started playing, we realized there are a ton of misspelled words, duplicate cards and a crap ton of phrases that don't make any sense. Don't waste your money on this game! Buy it directly from the website. Trying to get my money refunded.(1,920) -

List Price: $24.95 Price: $19.95 You Save: $5.00 (20%) "Great game for Family Game Night, everyone enjoyed playing!" - By Yellowstone Fan (Chicago, IL)
I played this board game with a mix of adults and jr. high kids. You'd probably like this game if you like other family games like Apples to Apples, Balderdash, Cranium, etc.
Reasons I like this game:
1. Easy to learn. Everyone understood how to play easily.
2. Keeps everyone active. No waiting for your turn.
3. Play a little or a lot. One round can be done in less than 30 min, but you can do more and play for hours. We played a few rounds.
4. Learn whats going on in other people's heads. I found it fun and interesting to see what answers others wrote down and to try to guess what they would write down. One card was "rich people hobbies" and I wrote down boating and traveling, and one kid wrote ... full review(436) -

Took this on a family vacation in August. Nine of us played, with one being the host. The age range was 10 to 87 loved it. I read the reviews before I bought it and someone mentioned they used a dry erase board. I took one and it really made the game flow well. I would highly recommend it. Looking forward to playing again with the whole gang at Thanksgiving.(181) -

Was not what I expected. The instructions were not complete, they didn't even have a color in the rules that were on some of the cards. I got this game thinking it would be close to the speak out game when clearly it is not. Would not recommend this.(232) -

SET is a great game! It's a good group game, as there isn't a specific number of players required, and one person can enjoy it as a solitaire game. SET doesn't take long to learn, but it remains challenging forever!
Color is a major part of this game. I'm colorblind, but there are ways to mark the cards and enjoy SET along with everybody else.(1,182) -

You're sitting in the living room, surrounded by great company. Your friend flips over a 15-second hourglass. The room erupts in a cacophony of song - lyrics are distinguishable only if you are watching the lips of those around you.
In another turn, the hourglass is flipped, and a dead silence ensues. It's interrupted only by the crickets outside and the noise of your brother scratching his forehead - wracking his brain to come up with a song that features the trigger word played.
Such is the roller coaster of inspiration and baffling Spontuneous evokes.
This game is awesome. It's uproariously funny, it stimulates the brain and your working memory, and most importantly - it provides a great, fun, and connected experience for you and your family and friends to share.
If you are competitive and like fair play, I recommend vetoing a few of the ... full review(891) -

Qwixx: 2-5 Players, Ages 8+, Average Play Time = 15 Minutes
First and foremost, I like the fact that it is portable and can be played almost anywhere. After all, the entire game consists of just six dice and some scorepads. I do think that the game could have included more scorepads as you’ll tend to go through them quickly, though you can print/download my not-so-pretty version of the scoresheet for free on my official website. The first page is in color, the second one is not (for the benefit of those who can only print in black and white). The instructions were easy to read and provided plenty of pictures and examples.
Unlike some other dice games on the market, this one keeps players engaged no matter whose turn it is. While the active player gets to cross off a potential two numbers ... full review(300) -
