Beautiful monitor. Takes a little getting used to for the widescreen but you will not want to go back to standard after having one!
What I use it for
Ebay, Web browsing, adult movies (I mean come on what guy wouldn't want to watch it on a epic wide screen), regular movies, youtube, and working on spreedsheets.
Occasionally I play skyrim and it looks amazing!
Colors are amazing and all the features this monitor has makes it the best monitor for the price hands down! I am very satisfied with it.
And it looks amazing sitting on my desk.
yes it will wobble if you have a wobbly desk, type like a gorilla or beat your meat and smack the desk. Otherwise very solid!(569) -

This is a great monitor. Be advised that this awesome monitor does not have speakers. The volume control is for the headphone jack on the back. You can plug speakers/headphones in there. Sound will come through HDMI to that jack and the switch volume control then adjusts that volume. Download the Windows 10 driver from LG's USA website and pick up the Split Screen and Dual Controller apps as well.(92) -

Super clear picture. You can adjust stand height, tilt, and angle (left/right if your desk is lop sided). I use it for work and games. Fast response rate and very good monitor menu options. It defaults at 60hz but had no problems setting it to 75hz in the nvidia control panel. No issues so far. You probably won't have to do this if you don't need the refresh rate or are using Radeon cards. Just enable free sync. This is a no brainer replacement for a dual monitor set up.(351) -

Best IPS monitor for console gaming. Went from gaming on a huge 50+inch tv to a 27" monitor for what I've heard would be a better and more fluid gaming experience. I have to say I'm never going back to a large screen tv again. Just stick to big screen tvs for movie / tv viewing and monitors for gaming. I use Xbox one to play on this monitor. Now, the "best" is if you want a monitor with the best of both worlds for response time or low input lag, AND picture quality. This monitor has the best and deepest blacks I've ever seen.

HP really stepped up their game. This is a great stylish monitor for $99 dollars! I'm using this as my secondary monitor with my 21" iMac. I am a web developer so having this extra monitor allows me to work on my main screen while viewing the pages on the HP. In order for the screen to align with the iMac, I used a plastic organizer shelf and flipped it upside down and placed the HP monitor on top of it. The HP screen is at it's brightest setting but does not match well with the iMac so I toned down the brightness on the iMac. Overall the monitor is great. No dead pixels, the texts are very sharp. It came well packaged and easy to set up (no screws necessary).

I ordered two of these and a dual monitor stand. After much research I had a few hesitations about ordering these as they are the same hardware it appears as the VS238H which as a lot of reviews here and on new egg.
So to address the complaints I saw in 1% of the reviews.
First complaint I saw was the stands. I can see how the stands could leave a little to be desired but these things are so light and thin a more substantial base would look out of place. I personally wouldn't let this take away from the monitor. Since I am not using the included stands that is where I will leave this.

I love this monitor. I bought it from Best Buy during a sale for $80 and wow, what a bargain. The screen's image is crisp and clear, has excellent viewing angles, and is very lightweight. If I had to buy again, I would probably get the larger model, but that's just a personal preference. Also, it says it is borderless, however there is about a 1cm border on the sides and top, and a 2cm border on the bottom. I didn't need it to be borderless, so I don't care, but it's worth pointing out since it does claim to be border free.
The screen looks matte to me. Looks great on games, the colors are superb. A lot of modern monitors are cursed with overly bright screens that make you feel like you're staring into the sun. This doesn't have that. It's bright enough for games, but able ... full review(98) -

I recently replaced an 8 year old Dell monitor, and donated it to Good Will, with this monitor. I was specifically seeking to buy an LED monitor in the 21 inch range. I have used this monitor for about 3 months and it is great. Very bright, clear and easy to read. The adjustable base and controls are simple to use. The price was very competitive. I bought this monitor at Walmart for about the same price and I write reviews on Amazon to help out the community. I figured I would try to help out anyone who can't decide whether to go with another monitor or the AOC. First, I bought this monitor about 3 months ago and here is my 3 months later honest review. The monitor has a pretty small vessel so it doesn't block your view or distract you in anyway. I'm really happy with how many outputs they put in this monitor. 2 HDMI's and 1 VGA and the VGA are rare to find on any new monitor nowadays. When you first open the box you are greeted by a FREE GVA cable, a manual, and a disk software.
