Although I think the target audience is young children, I think this is especially good as a adolescent to adult coloring book. My four-year-old is just starting to get into coloring and immediately wanted to try out this book when we got it, but after glancing through it, I asked him to forbear. I think I'd like to do the coloring myself and repeat the affirmations for my own benefit! The art is a little more geometric and appealing to children who already are experienced with coloring and I'm not sure how long it would engage my son's interest because he's still pretty amateur . . .
I think some more word art with the actual text on the left pages would make this even better. It's not exactly a book in the sense that it doesn't have a cohesive narrative--it's more of a collection of two-sided pages, a brief ... full review(4) -

Gorgeous, delicate 10 ounce mug with a very nicely reproduced illustration on the front. Comes packaged in a very nice half-exposed box (please see photos). Inside the mug on the bottom is printed "Hello, Sunshine" which is sweet and which would also work well for a Non-Morning-Person just to irritate them.This would make a superb gift either way. Very attractive. I'm more of the 16-ounce coffee mug variety, so this is a bit small for my own use, but would be the perfect choice for a guest. It's surprising how much more thin and light a porcelain mug is compared to our usual clay mugs. Really a pretty little cup, someone will treasure this.(42) -

Love the stickers! Very sparkly. Good value for the amount of stickers you receive. I would recommend these stickers and would buy them again myself. They are great for embellishing cards and envelopes. I would not use these on the outside of envelopes if you are going to mail it though. They will probably fall off the envelope in the mail as they are 3D.(4) -

"Nice refresher or quick introduction to mindfulness but not as strong as Full Catastrophe Living" - By Tone
I was looking for a refresher on mindfulness and a text to help guide me deeper into the practice. I can say this book delivered on both fronts. The chapters tend to be short and easy to read. Much of it comes across like listening to a talk from a great professor that leaves the technical details for the reading assignments. Using that as a metaphor, "Wherever you go, there you are" is the warm lecture from a caring teacher. "Full Catastrophe Living" (his more scientific and serious book) is the full corpus of research and exercises and concepts underlying the teacher's lecture.
Much like in college, you can skip the lecture if you master the corpus, but it's best to do both of you can. That said, anyone looking to really understand the methodology behind mindfulness and how it can be applied in a secular way to the ... full review(716) -

I just bought this for my 9 year old and was so happy to see that had edited the previous version making a version for younger and older girls. It is excellent! First of all, it's branded American Girl which made my daughter love it without even opening the cover. It's like she knew she could trust everything it said.
I love how nicely it is organized and how it all leads up to the section on your body changing and getting your period. I thought that it simply described what is happening to her body and not to be afraid of it. I like how much time it devotes to the seemingly frivolous things such as pads, tampons, buying them, and how to be prepared. Great read! J. D. Salinger is one of my favorites. I haven't got to read many of his other works, but Catcher in the Eye was so ahead of its time. I love the thought and feeling that went into Holden Caulfield (thecmain character) at least the thought and feelings the character portrayed towards people , places, and things in life. His deep emotion makes him relatable and human which makes me wish the book was much longer. I would live to have met and had a conversation with Holden Caufield and J.D.Salinger himself.(3,843) -

In short I was very hesitant to buy this book. I absolutely love the Harry Potter series and find J.K. Rowling's story sheer brilliance. I am some what of a collector of slipcases and well made editions of books I love/ grew up with.
I wasn't sure if it was wise to spend this kind of money on a book but after receiving it today all of my doubts were cast aside. This is an absolute masterpiece, I don't know even where to begin. The illustrations truly bring to the story to life and Jim Kay's (illustrator) vision of the Harry Potter world is refreshing and beyond magical. The book itself is extremely high quality from binding to cover. I will write more and post pictures when I get a chance but after opening it and reading the first few pages I felt compelled to share my elation.
