When I first installed the light on my bike, I didn't actually secure it into the clip properly. As I was flying down the street, I hit a bump and the light went flying off and crashed into the asphalt, banging around until it came to a stop. The light is well made, sturdy and metal so its heavy! I thought to myself "I just got it and I already broke it." I picked it up, hit the button (it wasn't on while I was riding, it was still light out) and it went right on. I've had to ride in the rain for hours, and even took a spill on a hard slick curve where it got banged up again and still works like new. I've had it for around two years and still going strong.
So this light gets 5 plus stars for brightness but theres a warning attached. If you're riding in an area with other bike riders that may be coming towards you in the opposite lane, please point the light at a slight angle towards the ground. Everyone will still see it (I promise) and it wont blind everyone that comes within view of the light. As for cars, I ride around the streets of NYC. I know, I know, it's a dangerous game but somebody has to do it right? Anyway, when using this light during the day, I've yet to encounter a situation, where a vehicle or pedestrian isn't forced to notice me coming and usually pauses with that deer in the headlight look, yes even during the day, its a freaky bright light and commands ones attention. At night it gets better. I put it on strobe, and the stop signs, street signs, cars, and anything else in the way makes it look like an emergency vehicle is coming. I have yet, in two years, to have a car waiting at a stop sign, to try to speed past the intersection. Now I'm talking about the Big Apple, the city that never sleeps, the city with some of the most inconsiderate and irrational drivers in the world and even they can't help but stop to see what all the commotion is about. They ALWAYS wait and when I pass and look at the driver and passengers (if there are any), they have the same deer in the headlight look. Sometimes when I ride on a bike/walking path and it's late, I always keep the light on strobe mode. Pedestrians that are walking ahead of where I'm at, see the strobe flashing off of everything and they always turn to look, ensuring they wont dart out in front of you while you're passing them. The brightness of the light and the powerful strobe, seem to send a message to the brain that says stop, warning, figure out whats going on here before you continue on.
I believe I covered this. Two very hard falls, riding in the rain and though the metal housing is scratched up a bit, it looks great and works like new. The rechargeable battery has worked great for two years now after many charges.
I haven't actually run the light down until it's gone dead, but I've run it on the strobe for three hours with no issues regarding performance (I always have a back up light when I go out just in case). I am happy with the battery performance, no issues there.
Bottom line is this, I own NUMEROUS bike lights and this is hands down the best and most likely to keep you safe on and off road. I also own another dual headlamp thats incredibly bright, but the strobe is super slow and not as attention getting as this insane strobe. I actually feel like my safety factor is greatly elevated with this light due to its brightness and ability to strobe so quickly. If you have reason to be concerned about your safety while riding, or just have a loved one that you really want to up their chances of avoiding an accident while riding, do not hesitate and get this light! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! I'm picking up a second one for loved one as soon as I'm done writing this review. Hope this helps, ride safely!
Easy intuitive mounting, charging, and practicality of use. Nicely packaged. No frustration as I had with the more complex and less versatile Tansoren mounting system

With the light pointing ever so slightly downwards it creates a perfect beam path that brightly illuminates everything from a couple of feet in front of you (with slight illumination right up to the front tyre) up to several dozens of feet away, with "splash" that makes you aware of the presence of absolutely anything moving almost as far as the eye can see. Seriously - it's that good. I primarily use the medium and high modes, the low power mode provides little illumination and would only really be useful once you've stopped for a break for basic position lighting. I am cautious of the LEDs overheating and so limit my use of the highest mode to fairly short (10 min) periods when travelling at high speed. Honestly in most situations the medium setting is actually enough.
The build quality of the light seems sturdy and the bracket is such that it doesn't move or drop its angle over bumps (of which I go over many). There are what look like hex screws on the back which I suspect give access to the 18650 batteries. As I own an intellicharger that can efficiently charge this type I have been tempted to unscrew the back to remove the batteries and charge this way, but have since resisted temptation in case something pings out and I can't find it. The built in charger does its job adequately.
This gives me complete confidence cycling in pitch black conditions which is exactly what I was looking for in a bike headlight.
Prodotto Compatto (no pacchi batteria extra), Pesante?
Consigliatissimo.
The unit is very well manufactured; it's solid. The bracket that attaches to the bike does not move around even when going over bumps which is good, it doesn't rattle. The unit slides off the bracket only after pushing a lever forward so once attached it doesn't go anywhere, and if you do want to detach it's easy enough. This is great for security.
Unfortunately, since it is used in the pitch dark I do not know whether the light fades as battery power fades or whether it simply blinks out. The last thing I need is being plunged into pitch black so the light has been charged every night after use because, and this is another problem, there is no mechanism to check the remaining battery power and information about runtime in different modes differs between Amazon product page (4hrs on high) and the companies own home page (2hrs on high or 3hrs on high).
The memory function doesn't appear to work either; to an extent. Turning off on strobe won't turn on in strobe. I'm not fussed about this, just get on with it, but it could be a tad annoying. There are two lighting settings, each with different modes. One set of modes has more lighting options, default set has three modes. Memory function could have saved which set of modes the light was switched off on.
All in all... happy with the light so far. Time will tell.
Very bright light.
Stable bracket, light doesn't move about.
Easy to detach and reattach.
Works in all weathers.
Unsure whether the light fades with the battery or outright dies with the battery.
Since a light like this will be used in proper darkness then battery status needs to be more readably available.
It's a pity as I thought this was a good light until it stopped working.
One small niggle worth nothing is the light slides onto the holder but does not sit perefectly snug. Because it's a metal light it rattles annoyingly constantly. I tried putting some bluetac between the light and the holder to dampen this but you shouldn't really have to do that.
The body is all metal and has a weight to it. It seems like it's shock proof and water resistant. It has multiple modes and are interchangeable very easily.
I am overall satisfied with this product. The packaging is great and minimal. It doesn't have any specs about the device in the box which was a turn off but It seemed promising. Great product Overall.
At the same time it has a very nice build quality. The design is very clever, the body made from a single aluminium extrusion making it solid and keeping it cool on the highest setting (it only gets a little warm). My biking friend has an expensive Hope light which is about 12 years old, and this beats it easily. It's bright enough to go almost full speed down some local single track in the woods at night. I also use this as a normal torch since it fits comfortably in the hand.
I held off leaving a review until I had used it for a while, to see how the build quality faired. I'm happy to say I've had no problems. The battery life is great, it's lasted around 4 hours on the highest setting. The light won't cut out, it simply fades as it runs low. I've run it in heavy rain and never had any issues with it. You can also replace the batteries eventually when they start to fade (I haven't noticed any loss of performance yet). My one slight quarm is with the handlebar mount, it allows the light to pose side to side a little which is nice, but this mechanism is not as rigid as I would like, and it can shift from side to side a little if it shakes around, very minor problem though.
Wowsers this monster packs some serious punch. I live near an airport and daren't turn it on in the garden just in case I get a 737-800 landing on the decking.
Overall this light is sturdy, well built, easy to use and seriously bright. I've not had it out for hours on end yet, but I've not had much call to charge it up either.
Great product, fingers crossed for lengevity :)
