Common sense says that a business must have customers to survive and the happier your customers, the better your business will do. But apparently common sense isn't as common as it once was. Companies seem to be so focused on the bottom line that they forget to look up and address their customers' concerns. This has been especially true with Internet marketing, where customers aren't thought of so much as people, but by a customer code or phone number. Welcome to Vanns, where we understand that there's a real live person behind that voice on the telephone or sending in that Internet order.
Of course, customer service isn't just about being polite. It's also having what you want, at a competitive price, and being able to help with picking the perfect product for a specific situation. So, we don't just hire friendly people. We employ knowledgeable professionals and give them the training they need to become product experts. In fact, our salespeople spend the equivalent of a month training each year so you can have confidence that you'll be getting the right product to fit your situation.
And the products, well, you'll be hard pressed to find a better selection of high quality electronics anywhere on the Internet. And, being an authorized dealer, we have the confidence of manufacturers to handle and distribute their products. Although we haven't officially been using the phrase "Whatever it takes" as our motto for long, it's been integrated into the way we do business since Pete Vann opened the doors to the first Vann's store over forty years ago. - We recommend you choose UPS Ground service and insure your shipment.
- If you have an overweight or oversized item that was shipped to you by an LTL carrier, we will make the arrangements for the carrier to pick up your return and will let you know the shipping costs before the item is picked up.
- (*) A few types of products have only a 15-day satisfaction guarantee. Those include digital cameras and camcorders, computer products such as laptops, tablets and software and any item purchased from our open-box Clearance Center.
- If your order is returned without its original packaging (product packing material and all), or without its manuals and accessories included, or if the UPC bar code is not present on the box, a minimum of a 20% restocking fee will be applied.
We will issue a full refund or exchange of items that meet the above conditions. Shipping costs can only be refunded if the return is a result of our error. Opened items returned within the 30-day period are subject to a 10% restock fee. Unopened items returned after the corresponding 30 day period are also subject to a minimum 25% restock fee. Restocking fees can be increased in instances where there is excessive wear & tear, damaged packaging or if the item is over the corresponding return period.
All returned products must have a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA#). Please request an RMA# by calling 800-769-5668. Please have a copy of your receipt in-hand when calling and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Any product returned without an RMA, with missing or damaged original contents, opened software, or false claims of damage or defect will be assessed a minimum 20% restocking fee.

Refusing A Package
If you should place an order with Vann's and then refuse a package for any reason other than damage to the product itself (just because the box is beat up the product might be perfect), please know that you will receive a refund for the amount of your original transaction less any shipping charges Vann's incurred in getting the package to you originally as well as the cost of the return shipping.
Packaging A Return
After receiving an RMA#, you have 7 days within which to have the item shipped and/or postmarked for return (actual shipping time will not count against your Return Time Period). If your return is not sent out within that period of time, Vanns.com will assess a restocking fee starting at 20%, or refuse return of the product.
- Please Write RMA# on shipping label provided with your order. (Please, Please Do Not Write On The Box!).
- Pack the product in its original packaging with all original contents.
- For your protection, we recommend you insure your shipment.
- Your return will not be accepted without the RMA# clearly marked on the shipping label.
- We recommend you choose UPS Ground service and insure your shipment.

Vanns Shipping Rates
Shipping rates depend on the selected shipping speed and weight/size of the items.
To determine the applicable shipping rate for items in your Cart:

The majority of our orders are shipped via UPS. Most in-stock items should arrive on your doorstep within 3 to 7 business days after receipt of your order. If you use the Expedited shipping option, your products should arrive on your doorstep within 4 business days after receiving your order.
Any television shipped FedEx or UPS over 37 inches will require a signature upon delivery.
There are some special exceptions: Rear Projection Television and Large LCD, LED or Plasma Television may take 8 - 15 business days to arrive. Our normal Common Carrier Freight delivery is a "curbside" service. Which means that the item is simply dropped off at your home and will require your signature. In these instances you will be contacted by Vanns.com to arrange shipping times.
Shipping to Alaska Or Hawaii can not be accommodated by our Free Ground Shipping Offer and has additional costs/handling times please contact us at (800) 769-5668 if you have questions regarding shipping to Alaska or Hawaii.
Vanns.com will only allow shipping within the United States. We can not accommodate any order that is shipped to a hotel or via any freight forwarding company.
