At AV House we want you to be happy with your purchase so our return policy is simple.
Most Retail Items
If you are unhappy with your purchase at any time within the first 30 days from the purchase date and the product is in new condition with all packing materials we'll take it back.
Just contact our customer service department and obtain an Return Authorization Number, double box the item (pack the item(s) in the original boxes with everything that came with them and then put that into an external box), write the RMA number clearly on the outer box and ship it to the address provided by our customer service team. If the items were purchased as part of a kit or bundle the kit or bundle must be returned in it's entirety. Once we receive the items and verify their condition we will issue you a credit less shipping. Returns for reasons other than product defect or AV House mistake may be charged a restocking fee of up to 20%. Shipping charges are non-refundable and AV House is not responsible to pay for return shipping charges.
Order Cancellation Requests
Our systems are highly automated. We ship from our own location as well as multiple distribution partners throughout the United States. Once you've placed your order, we transmit it to one of our distribution partners within about 15 minutes. Once the order has been sent to our distribution partners it can no longer be canceled (even if the order shows as un-shipped in Amazon systems). If you've placed an order and then changed your mind, the easiest (and least expensive) way to get a full refund is to refuse the shipment when FedEx shows up at your door. If you aren't going to be home, leave a note on your door stating that you wish to refuse the package. If the package has already been delivered, please DON'T OPEN IT. Bring the unopened package to the local FedEx (or Kinkos/FedEx) office and tell the customer service representative that you wish to refuse the package and FedEx will return it to us. Once the item has been refused it can take 2-3 weeks to process your refund - please be patent, the process takes some time but you will get your money back.
Missing Items / Shipments
Please track the progress of your order with the tracking information we email you. All missing shipments must be reported within 10 days of the delivery date as shown on the carrier's site (usually FedEx). Missing items, while rare, happen occasionally. Please report any missing items within 10 days of receipt. Prompt reporting give us the best chance of solving these issues in a timely manner.
Return Shipping Costs
If you return an item using a prepaid shipping label provided by AV House and the reason for return is not the result of an AV House error, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
If the return is the result of an AV House error, please specify the error we made when requesting the prepaid shipping label so we can fix it.
If you choose to ship the item on your own, you'll pay the carrier directly and AV House will not be responsible for, or refund, any return shipping costs.
Large items shipped by a specialty carrier (Freight) are not eligible for pre-paid shipping labels and generally require service in the field.
Items valued at less than $30 are not eligible for pre-paid shipping labels.
Return shipping costs are as follows:
- $10 per return shipment under 10 pounds.
- For each pound over 10, an additional $1/per pound will be added.
- All fractional weights will be rounded up to the next highest pound.
For example if an item weighs 14.2 pounds we will round up to 15 pounds and withhold $15 from your refund ($10 for the shipment plus $1 for each pound over 10).

Due to human error and other determinants we cannot guarantee that all item descriptions, photographs, compatibility references, detailed specifications, pricing, links and any other product-related information listed is entirely accurate, complete or current, nor can we assume responsibility for these errors. In the event a product listed on our website is labeled with an incorrect price due to some typographical, informational, technical or other error, AV House shall at its sole discretion have the right to refuse and/or cancel any order for said product and immediately amend, correct and/or remove the inaccurate information.
• Ubiquiti Networks, Pelican, EVGA Products
We do not allow returns or exchanges on any products from these brands for any reason - These brands do not accept returns from us so regrettably, we can't accept returns of these products. Please contact the manufacturer directly for product or warranty support.
• HP & Dell Products
We can only accept returns on products from HP & Dell if they are sealed. Once opened we can't accept returns for these brands. Please contact the manufacturer directly for product or warranty support.
• Large Televisions, Projection Screens & Other Large/Heavy Items shipped by truck
Due to their size, risk of damage, and cost to ship, we do not accept returns on televisions over 40" or projector screens 60" diagonal or larger (other than refusals due to shipping damage). Televisions larger than 40" should be serviced in the field by the manufacturer. Refusals for reasons other than shipping damage or AV House error will be accessed a $100 restocking fee.
• Internal Computer Parts, Motherboards & Memory
Once items in anti-static packaging have been opened they are non-returnable. If they don't function as expected for some reason please contact the manufacturer for warranty service.
• Consumable Items & Items Containing Consumable Items
(including Lamps, Batteries, Ink/Toner, cleaning fluid & Similar Products)
Once consumable products have been opened we will not accept returns for any reason.
Please be sure that you've ordered the correct part before opening.
If a consumable product fails to perform as expected we'll be happy to provide you with the manufacturer's contact information to help you obtain warranty support.
• Software, Xbox Live Cards & Similar Items
We are happy to accept returns of factory-sealed software however once the package has been opened we can't accept returns for any reason - this includes items bundled with software (excluding software that is available for free from the manufacturer).
Be sure and return products back to AV House in the original packaging and packaging materials. Some items we sell are large and/or heavy and can get damaged in shipping without proper protection. Please keep your packing materials during and beyond your warranty period, just in case they need to be sent back to AV House or the manufacturer for any reason.
Limitation of Liability
In all circumstances AV House's maximum liability is limited to the purchase price of the products sold. AV House shall not, under any circumstances, be liable upon a claim or action in contract, tort, indemnity or contribution, or other claims relating to the products it sells which exceeds this liability limit. At AV House our standard shipping method is FedEx Ground.
Air & Expedited shipping are also available for most items.
We reserve the right to ship extremely large items or orders via FedEx freight or other carrier.
Some small, light-weight items may ship via Mail Express or USPS. These methods can take a bit longer to deliver but allow us to keep our prices for these items low - similar to Amazon's 'Super Saver' shipping. We currently do not ship to PO Boxes without prior approval (FedEx can't deliver to a PO Box).
While we do our absolute best to ship all items on the same day they were ordered, Amazon allows for 1 day of 'processing time' so it's possible that the item you order will ship the day after you order it especially if the order is placed late in the day. Orders can also be delayed while Amazon performs fraud protection screening - please understand that this is out of our control.
Shipping is calculated using business days so weekends and holidays don't factor in to shipping calculations. In no case will orders be delivered on Saturday or Sunday.
Televisions 40" or Larger
Large televisions will shipped via AGS Systems and will require a signature upon delivery. Transit time is 5-8 days depending on destination. Faster delivery options are NOT available on large TVs.
Please be sure to include a phone number where you can be reached so the carrier can coordinate delivery.
Once you receive a television shipment it is vital that you thoroughly inspect the box before signing for it. If there is any visible damage to the box be sure to document it on the bill of lading before signing.
If the damage is extreme please refuse the shipment and document the reason for the refusal on the bill of lading.
Please open and inspect the TV - before you sign for it if possible - and check for hidden damage.

Information Collection and Use
AV House is the sole owner of information collected on this site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to any outside parties, except as outlined in this policy. We collect information from our customers to process orders and better serve you with pertinent information, such as order confirmations and order status updates. Information collected includes your name, shipping address, billing address, telephone numbers, e-mail address, and payment information such as your credit card number. We also require you to submit a username and password of your choice for your future access to your account information. To safeguard that your user name and password remain confidential, DO NOT share this information with anyone. If you elect to receive our newsletter or special promotions, your contact information will be used for the delivery of these items.
Most of the information collected in the registration process will be used to process orders. During the order process, you will have to provide financial information such as your credit card number, expiration date, etc. This information is used for billing purposes and to fulfill your order. If we have trouble processing an order, we will use this contact information to get in touch with you. To properly process your credit card information, we must share your personal and financial information with the merchant bank for authorization and approval. This process is protected by an enhanced security system. See the Security section below for more details on security measures and procedures. We do not share your personal and financial information with any third parties, except those specified in the Sharing section of this policy.
