There are only 2 types of  jades: nephrite and jadeite. All other "jades" are fake jades or jade simulants.

9 out of 10 "jade eggs" on the market are fake jade eggs made  of translucent marble stones. Some merchants market these fake jades as "helu jade", "new jade", "xiuyan jade", "water jade" or just "jade eggs" without mentioning stone type. If a seller only says "jade egg" without clearly identifying wether the jade is nephrite jade or jadeite jade, 99% the so-called "jade eggs" are FAKE.  if the stones are not nephrite or jadeite, they are NOT jades, but jade simulants.

Nephrite is a healing stone that helps amplify body's natural self-healing capacity. It is proven scientifically that nephrite radiates far-infrared rays, which bring beneficial effects on human body, especially on skin, blood circulation and skin cell vitalizing. Nephrite jade is particularly helpful for healing kidney, stomach, arthritis,  bladder,  joints and stiffness complains.

The name "nephrite" is from Greek "nephros", which means ‘kidney’ with reference to its benefits in treating kidney diseases. In Chinese culture, nephrite jade is considered the "Stone of Heaven". The jade egg used in Taoist practice since ancient time was nephrite.

Nephrite is harder than steel because its  tightly packed interwoven fibrous structure that makes it very tough, strong and dense. Nephrite jade is harder and  heavier than most stones,  makes it a perfect choice for yoni eggs.

Don't wear fake jade eggs and fake jade jewelry, wear real nephrite jade.

Q. Why the nephrite jade egg I received is black, is it genuine nephrite jade?A: We often hear this or similar questions.  Some even commented " I thought nephrite is only green, why there are different colors?"
Actually, "green egg" is not necessary nephrite jade egg. A yoni egg that looks dark does not mean it is not genuine nephrite jade egg. In fact, most of the "green jade eggs" on the market are fake jade eggs made of marble stones.

These green "jade eggs" are fake, made of serpentine or aventurine,  both are marble stones varieties. The cost for such fake jade eggs is about USD2-3 per egg, but sold on the market as "jade egg" at USD30-60.

Most (9 out of 10) "jade eggs" on the market are these type of green but fake jade eggs. You may want to Google "fake jade egg" to find more information.

True nephrite jade can be white (most expensive), green, dark green, black, brown, yellow. grey etc. depending on trace amount of inclusions mostly chromium and iron.  If the inclusions are very very small, then the nephrite looks white, otherwise the color is darker.

Our jade eggs are made of 100% natural and genuine nephrite jade rough stones without using any chemical treatment or dyeing. Considering the uniformity, integrity (solidness) and sustainability, we use dark green to black genuine nephrite jade to make jade eggs.

Can we use greener nephrite jade rough stone to make jade eggs? Absolutely yes. The problem is the cost. Greener nephrite jade rough stones are often used in jewelry.  If we use this type of greener nephrite jade to make jade eggs, the price for a medium size jade egg would cost USD300 - 500.  A few jade egg practice coaches have worked with us to look for possibilities to make and market this higher grade jade eggs, but because of  the cost concerns, we stopped such approach.

You can easily differentiate a fake "jade egg" from genuine nephrite jade egg by using a metal tip such as a knife or metal nail to scratch the surface of the egg. If there are permanent scratches left on the surface, then the egg is fake, made of soft serpentine marble stone.
Nephrite jade is harder than steel, you cannot scratch the surface of a genuine nephrite jade egg with a metal tip.

Q: Is nephrite jade only green?
A:  No. Depending on trace amount of iron and copper inclusions,  nephrite jade comes in white, green, dark green, grey, black, yellow, and orange. White nephrite jade is the most rare and expensive one. Considering the uniformity, integrity (solidness) and sustainability, we use dark green to black genuine nephrite jade to make yoni eggs. Most of the fake "jade eggs" on the market are light green because these fake "jade eggs" are made of serpentine, a soft translucent light green marble stone. Some merchants market such fake "jade eggs" as "water jade", "new jade", "xiuyan jade", "xiuyu jade", "green jade", or just "jade egg" without mentioning the stone type. You can easily differentiate a fake "jade egg" from genuine nephrite jade egg by using a metal tip such as a knife or metal nail to scratch the surface of the egg. Q: What is genuine nephrite jade?
A:  Nephrite jade is a gemstone of unique symbolic energy, and unique in the myths that surround it. With its beauty and wide-ranging expressiveness, nephrite jade has held a special attraction for mankind for thousands of years. This gem, with its discreet yet rather greasy lustre, which comes in white, green, dark green, grey, black, yellow, and orange and in delicate violet tones, has been known to Man for some 7000 years, yet as early as 3000 B.C. jade was known in China as 'yu', the 'royal gem'. Symbolic energy and beauty, the traditional and the modern are combined in jade in a particularly harmonious way. And in gemstone therapy it is said that nephrite jade 'stimulates creativity and mental agility on the one hand, while also having a balancing and harmonising effect.' So this beautiful gemstone brings us joy, vivacity and happiness all at the same time – and what, in our times, could we possibly need more?For details about nephrite jade, please Google "international coloured gemstone jade".

Q: How do I avoid purchasing a fake jade egg?
A: Just because a merchant calls a green or white-looking stone eggs "jade eggs" does not make the eggs true nephrite jade eggs. Most (9 out of 10) of the "jade eggs" on the market are fake or fraud jade eggs made of translucent marble stones.  Before you purchase jade eggs from a merchant, ask the merchant following questions:

  1. Are the "jade eggs"  genuine nephrite jade eggs?
  2. If the answer is "yes", ask for lab. test data about specific density, mohs hardness, and refractive index.
  3. Where is the original source of the rough nephrite stones?
Specific density, mohs hardness, and refractive index of genuine nephrite stone are 2.8 - 3.1, 6.0-7.0, and 1.606 - 1.632 respectively.
If the answers to the question of No.2 above are not within the ranges above, most likely the "jade eggs" are NOT genuine nephrite jade eggs.

If the answer to the 3rd questions above is NOT Canada or Russia, it is most likely the "jade eggs" are fake. Currently only Canada and Russia have nephrite rough stone supply. Because of Russia export restriction, Canada is the principal source of nephrite supply country. Nephrite deposits in China are all mined out. Serpentines and onyx, 2 varieties of marble stones, are often used in China as nephrite replacement to make fake jade eggs.

Fake Nephrite Jade or Jade Simulants
Some examples of jade simulants or fake jades that are green or white-looking, or translucent:
Helu jade: not true jade but serpentine;
Amazonite, not true jade;
Aventurine, not true jade;
Serpentine, not true jade;
Talc; not true jade
Onyx, a translucent marble, not true jade
Chalcedonyl, not true jade;
Vesuvianite, not true jade;
Xiuyan jade, serpentine variety, not true jade
Xiuyu jade, serpentine variety, not true jade
Dushan Jade, saussurite variety, not true jade

Before you purchase your jade eggs, it is a good idea to do your homeworks, check if the description says anything about the stone type. If it says "new jade", "water jade", "helu jade", "serpentine jade", "serpentine nephrite jade", "xiuyan jade", "xiuyu jade", "Chinese jade", "green jade", "white jade", or just "jade eggs" without mentioning the stone type, then most likely (99%) the so-called "jade eggs" are FAKE.

Most merchants who sell fake jade eggs only mention the eggs are "jade eggs" without providing the stone type, nor providing any data showing the stone is real jade. If you see a merchant who uses the term "jade eggs" but cannot provide the stone type nor technical data, then leave that store and no need to waste your time and money.

If you avoid purchasing these types of "jade eggs",  you are a well informed buyer and most likely what you have will be genuine and real jade eggs.

Wear genuine jade eggs, don't wear fake eggs made of marble stones.

Q: I thought all jades are green. Why some genuine nephrite jade eggs look dark or even black?
A: Not all jade are greens.  Depending on trace amount of included iron, copper and chromium, jade can be white (most expensive), green, yellow, dark green, and black. Canada does not have white jade. White and green jade in China are all mined out. Canada is currently the prime jade rough stone supply country, but jade mined in Canada are all green and dark green. Green Canadian jade often has too much cracking, which is not suitable for yoni eggs because of the intimate usage. This why our nephrite jade eggs are made of dark green, some of them may look like even black but under light you will see the dark green color. Dark green jade is very dense, has no cracking so it is the best stone for yoni eggs.

Q: My rose quartz egg is not purely translucent and looks having internal cracks, is this an egg having defects?
A: Rose quartz egg often does not have a continuous look, but shows areas of streaks or cloudy patches (internal cracks) within the stone, or looks somewhat milky due to minute inclusions of foreign substances within the stone. These are NOT defects. Such rose quartz egg is perfectly OK to use.

Q: Are "yoni eggs made of helu jade" real jade eggs?
A:
No, the so-called "helu jade" is a jade simulant that is actually serpentine, a translucent marble stone, a much soft stone. Yoni eggs made of "helu jade" are NOT real jade eggs Please note 9 out of 10 "jade eggs" on the market are fake jade eggs.

Q: How do I know if a "jade egg" is made of real nephrite jade?

A: Before you purchase jade eggs, ask following questions to the merchant:
  1.     Are the "jade eggs" made of genuine nephrite jade or other type of jade?
  2.     What is the specific density, mohs hardness, and refractive index of the jade egg
  3.     Where is the original source of the rough nephrite stones?
 If the answer to the 1st question is "other type of jade", then this "jade egg" is fake.

Serpentines and onyx, 2 varieties of marble stones, are often used in China as nephrite replacement.

Q:
How to clean & care for nephrite jade eggs?
A: Please sanitize the nephrite jade egg before your first use.
After use, clean, dry, wrap it in a soft cloth, and then store it in the provided pouch.

You can sanitize it by boiling, brushing, washing it with soap then rinsing thoroughly with clean water.

Nephrite is harder than steel because it has a tightly packed interwoven fibrous structure that makes it very tough, strong and dense.
Nephrite jade is heavier than most stones. This makes it a perfect choice as yoni egg.

So, don't worry to damage your nephrite jade egg. It is very strong.

To clean the hole of the yoni egg, we find eye brush is convenient.

Q: Is serpentine real jade?
A: Serpentine is called Xiuyan jade,  Xiuyu jade, helu jade, or new jade in China, and is often used as nephrite replacement. Is serpentine a true jade?

The answer is NO.

There are only 2 TRUE jades: nephrite and jadeite.

Serpentine is type of marble stone, and is often translucent, has various colors including: white, yellow, green, gray, brown, etc.
Because of the color similarity, serpentine is often used in China to make fake nephrite jade products.

Q: Do you provide cord for the yoni egg? What kind of cord do you recommend?
A:  Jade egg practice coaches often recommend unwaxed & unflavored dental floss or cotton string as yoni egg removal cords.
Yes, we contracted a dental floss maker to make unwaxed & unflavored dental floss for us as yoni egg removal string. You can find our unwaxed & unflavored dental floss by searching "yoni egg string polar jade". You can also easily find unwaxed  and unflavored dental floss, for example from amazon.com:

Yoni Eggs Size

Dear Amazon Buyers,

Before placing your order, please make sure to choose correct size of the yoni eggs. All of our yoni eggs have size information listed in the production description.

Large size: 50 x 35 mm (2.0 x 1.4 inch), for beginner and intermediate users.
Medium size: 43 x 30 mm (1.7 x 1.2 inch), for most users.
Small size: 35 x 25 mm ( 1.4 x 1.0 inch), for intermediate and advanced users.

We also have extra Large: 50 x 40 mm (2.0 x 1.6inch), and extra Small (30 x 20mm) (1.2 x 0.8 inch). Please contact us if you need extra sizes.

Our yoni eggs sizes are very much standard. However, a medium size that is good for most people might be too large for one woman and too small for another woman depending on individual difference, just like shoes or cloth.

This is why 3-pcs sets having all 3 sizes are very popular.  In addition to the good value,
3-pcs sets with 3 sizes are good for almost everyone, from women who have relatively weak pelvic floor muscles to women who are experienced kegel practitioners.

If you select a wrong size, that yoni egg might be too big or too small for you. In such a case, please do NOT leave a negative review for us complaining the size is too big or too small, because it is NOT the size is too big or too small, it is because a wrong size is selected.

In such as case, please contact us, we would be happy to help you solve the size issue.

Thank you,

Genuine Jade LLC.
