Fossil wants your shopping experience online to be as pleasant as if you were shopping in one of our stores. We know you'll love your product, but if it's the wrong size or defective in any way, we're here to help. You have 90 days to return your Fossil product from the time your order is placed. The product must be in resaleable condition for you to receive a full refund.

When your package arrives, detailed return instructions will appear on the back of your Fossil packing slip. A return shipping label is also included for your convenience. Please pack the product you are returning in the same box we used to ship it to you. We suggest you return the product to us via a carrier with tracking information and insurance.

A detailed e-mail will be sent to the billing contact for the original order when Fossil receives the merchandise back at our warehouse. Please allow one to two billing cycles for the credit to appear on your bank statement.

How can I order extra links for my watch?

Extra links for your Fossil watch can be ordered by calling Metro Service Center at (800) 842-8621

Please note that each additional link adds approximately ½ inch to the watchband. Link quantities are limited and are not guaranteed to be in stock.

Can I adjust my metal watchband?

If you have a Fossil "adjust-o-link" band you may decrease the size of your watchband by unfastening and taking out one of the two extra links to get proper fit.

If you require additional links you may order up to two additional links from our service center at (800) 842-8621. For all other metal bands, special tools are needed to properly remove, without damage, the pins that hold the links together. Any reputable jeweler should be able to adjust a metal watchband.

If desired you may send your watch to Fossil's authorized service center for adjustment of your Fossil watchband. You may request up to two extra links at no charge. Each link adds approximately ½ inch to the band length. If you require more than two links, please include $3 for each additional link requested. Please include $8.50 for return shipping and handling and send your watch to:

How can I replace the battery in my watch?

Our watchcases are similar to those of other fashion watches designed with casebacks that must be pressure sealed to protect the watch from particles and precipitation. Any reputable jeweler may be able to replace the battery. However, if the watch is damaged because of unauthorized entry, the warranty will be void.

If desired you may send your watch to Fossil's authorized service center for battery replacement. Please include $18.50, which includes return shipping and handling, and send your watch to:

Guarantee & Repairs - Watches

WATCHES

Your FOSSIL brand watch is warranted by Fossil for a period of 11 years from the date of purchase under the terms and conditions of this warranty. The Fossil Warranty covers material and manufacturing defects.

During the warranty period the watch movement, hands and dial are the only components covered under this warranty. These will be repaired or the watch will be replaced (at the sole discretion of Metro Service Center) free of repair charges, if it proves to be defective in material or workmanship under normal use. A $8.50 return shipping and handling fee applies to all warranty (excluding California) and non-warranty service.

The warranty does not cover:

  • battery, crystal, strap or bracelet
  • damage resulting from improper handling, lack of care, accidents or normal wear and tear
  • Water damage unless marked water-resistant
  • Indirect or consequential damage resulting from the defects or inaccuracy or inoperativeness of the watch

This warranty is void if the watch has been damaged by accident, negligence, unauthorized service, or other factors not due to defects in materials or workmanship.

If the problem is not covered by warranty or if your warranty has expired, the service and repair charges are as follows:

  • $17.00 Battery replacement; this includes return shipping and handling fee (Does not apply to Wrist Net products.).
  • $27.00 Total charges for repair of all components not covered under warranty; this includes the return shipping and handling fee.

Should service be required, please send your watch, a copy of your sales receipt, a completed Watch Repair Form (please call (800) 449-3056 for a copy of the form) , and payment to:

Your watch will be repaired and returned to you within 2 to 4 weeks of the date that we receive your package. Only watches sold through authorized Fossil dealers will be repaired under the terms of the warranty.
Exceptions to the FOSSIL brand 11 year warranty are as follows: Limited Edition (pre-fixes LI & LE) watches have a 1 year warranty, excluding the NCAA watches that carry the FOSSIL 11 year warranty. Watches purchased at our Fossil Outlet Stores carry a 1 year warranty. For warranty charges to be waived for Fossil Outlet Store purchases, receipts are needed for proof of purchase.

Our limited warranty covers against defects in material or workmanship one year from the date of purchase. Valid sales receipts must be included to show product is within warranty period.

$8.50 return shipping and handling will apply for all leather product styles warranty (excluding California) or non-warranty. Once product is inspected and if defect is due to manufacturer's workmanship, we will replace with same or equivalent value style if purchased within one year and receipt is included.

Leather Care & Cleaning Instructions:
Fossil handbags are designed and crafted of the finest materials available. To maintain the appearance of your Fossil handbag we recommend the following:

  1. The leather can be cleaned using a quality leather care lotion.
  2. If needed on silver finished hardware, a liquid cleaner recommended for silver plate can be used. AS WITH ANY CLEANING PRODUCT PLEASE FOLLOW THE LABEL DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY
  3. Fossil handbags should be kept free of moisture.

Guarantee & Repairs - Sunglasses

SUNGLASSES

Fossil Sunglasses have a limited warranty that covers against breakage due to defects in material or workmanship one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not include scratches to the lens. Proof of purchase (dated sales receipt) is required in order to honor warranty replacement. A $8.50 shipping and handling fee will be charged for all warranty service (excluding California).

During the warranty period, the eyewear product will be replaced if it proves to be defective in material or workmanship under normal use.

In case of replacement, it cannot be guaranteed that you will receive the same style product. A product of equal value and similar style will be supplied based off the purchase price.

The warranty is void if the product has been damaged by accident, negligence, or other factors not due to defects in materials or workmanship.
If the product was not purchased originally from an authorized Fossil retailer, the warranty is void.
Please note: Please do not send prescription lenses. All defective sunglasses are disposed of upon receipt and replaced. The Service Center will not be responsible for replacing prescription lens sent in error by the customer.
