Lady and The Carpenter is a home grown company that began in June of 2015 out of The Carpenter’s desire to do what he is passionate about…woodworking. We wanted to start a home-based business with a product that was practical and relatively simple to manufacture. We came across the idea of clothespins and fell in love with the idea of creating American made, heavy-duty clothespins that could be handed down through the generations. When we decided to start making our own clothespins I was thrilled! Not only would I be able to line dry my clothes without later finding them in the grass, but It seemed to be a great product to spring board a business with. The Carpenter LOVES wood and LOVES to make beautiful, quality items.

Lady and the Carpenter has brought the functionality, strength and beauty of the clothespin back to the US with Kevin’s Quality Clothespins. These clothespins are bigger, stronger and more durable than others found on the market today. After only one short year Kevin’s Quality Clothespins are in all 50 states and are sold internationally.

Each clothes pin has a stainless steel spring for a solid hold and weather resistance. The improved feature of grooved handles allow for easy gripping while the finish helps prevent weathering while bringing out the beauty of each piece of solid maple.

Homesteaders around the country love their simple ability to hang clothes in the wind. Crafters love their beauty and strength. Our product is handcrafted in the US with the goal of being passed down for generations.

Q: Will the Linseed oil finish get on my clothing?

A: We have completed several tests using wet, white fabrics (various types) and letting them dry over night. The Linseed Oil finish does not leach out onto fabrics. We also have had a separate company do this same test with the same results.

Q: Sometimes my Clothes pins close slightly askew? Is there something wrong with them?

A: All torsion-spring clothespins, since their invention in 1887, have a tendency to close just off center. This is purely an “aesthetic flaw” within the traditional clothespin design and does not affect its functionality.  Sometimes Kevin’s Quality Clothespins will close perfectly aligned and sometimes not.

Q: What is your Lifetime Product Guarantee?

A: If one of your Kevin’s Quality Clothespins should break due to normal wear or manufacturing defect, return the parts (wood and spring) to us and we will return to you a new clothespin to replace the malfunctioning clothespin.

Q: What is your Return Policy? Do you charge a restocking fee?

A: Purchases can be returned in their within 30 days of receipt of shipment. If purchased items are returned for a reason other than manufacturing defects (covered by our Product Guarantee) the customer will be charged a 15% restocking fee.
