Unique to Proarcades is the fact that we own the factory that makes all of our own products. We are contacted by Chinese companies all the time who are trying to sell us prebuilt games (the same games I see many other companies selling online.) The problem with this is that those Chinese companies are not willing to make adjustments to their games based on new information. In other words, buying fully assembled premade arcade cabinets from China does not allow other vendors the ability to make necessary design changes to their machines should the need arise. Shipping Policies

The high volume of business we book allows us to provide very competitive shipping rates. We utilize a myriad of shipping companies like RL Carriers, Fed Ex Freight, USPS, UPS, DHL, and Roadrunner Transit. Prior to your games departure a final inspection is performed to make sure they game has a joystick, two keys, and zero cosmetic issues. The game will be set on a pallet, wrapped with cardboard, foam inserts will protect the corners, it will be wrapped with shrink wrap, and then game will be tension strapped to a pallet. This is how it will arrive to your home/business. (See images below) Shipments are fully insured during transit and guaranteed to be processed for shipping as quickly as possible. Once the game is both purchased and ships customers are emailed the tracking, the shipping companies website, the phone number for Coinopstore Logistics and the phone number for Coinopstore Tech Support. This is standard with all new orders.

The shipping service used is typically LTL (Less Than Truckload) freight. The drivers are alone at the time of delivery and will be using a pallet jack, just like Fed Ex or UPS. Because of the use of a pallet jack drivers will not be able to navigate steps of any kind. Technically this will be a curbside freight delivery. Most drivers will bring it up the driveway to the front door or to the front of your garage assuming there are no stairs present however this is not guaranteed and you should make plans accordingly should he decline. If you would like to discuss additional services, please call us for a price quote. The average inside the garage delivery with no stairs is $150. If you have stairs and need inside delivery, (up or down stairs) this is not service LTL companies provide. The only way for us to provide these services is to ship your game to a third party moving company who will provide a second independent redelivery using two men. The cost for inside delivery, stairs, product placement and debris removal (White Glove) ranges from $350-$800 depending on the game, the difficulty of the destination and the location of the delivery. (Manhattan is very expensive for example)

For a residential delivery the shipping company is required to call and schedule an appointment prior to coming to your home. Typically this happens the day prior to delivery. For a business delivery they do not call first, they just show up between 9am-5pm. For a better idea of what time they will deliver to a business destination please use the tracking provided or call the carrier directly. If you have specific needs that require dates/times more precise we have the ability to purchase a more exact type of service. This must be addressed before the game ships. Prices for this service are variable based on speed of service, destination location and game type. We will email a confirmation letter to all new customers. During this correspondence please let us know before we ship that you would like to discuss times/dates and this can be arranged if needed. If unforeseen circumstances arrive that require you to change the scope of delivery which costs more money the customer would be responsible. If you schedule a delivery and are not home for that delivery you would be charged for an attempt. The attempt cost is variable based on the game and location. Each customer has 48 hours from the confirmation call to take delivery. Any time beyond 48 hours is subject to storage charges at a rate of $100 per day. (These are not our rules, sorry) Don’t shoot the messenger.

If for any reason you are unwilling or unable to meet with the shipping company to receive your game and the game is returned to us you are fiscally responsible to pay for both the shipping to your location and also the return shipping. Of course this is not something we want to have happen. Unfortunately a few individuals in the past have made unreasonable demands on the shipping companies at the time of delivery and when their demands were not met (second story delivery for free) they refused the games. If this happens you will be charged round trip shipping.

Any order that has a custom game wrap and is shipped back to our warehouse because of a customer’s refusal to coordinate delivery is subject to a 25% restocking fee as well as the return shipping costs. This policy also applies to shipments that are delayed because of bad weather and mechanical breakdowns. We cannot be held responsible if a delivery date is missed because of a blizzard, flooding, hurricane, tornado, etc.

Regardless of the reason for the return, each customer MUST be willing to palatalize the game if it has been removed from the pallet. For this reason, do NOT throw away your pallet. If necessary, we can buy shrink wrap and straps from Amazon and have them mailed directly to your house or business. We cannot mail you a pallet. LTL freight companies will not take arcade games off the pallet. We will not refund you any money until we have received our game.(s). If you choose your own shipping company, you are fiscally responsible for the liability of that game until it reaches our dock. Any damage on a return shipment will be photographed and the repair costs will be deducted from your purchase price.

This next section deals with shipping damage and it is very important. Damage happens very rarely but it does occasionally happen. Please read these steps very carefully. These steps begin with the assumption that you are looking at your new game during the delivery.

Step 1. Inspect the freight. If you see obvious damage to the game , (not just the wrapping) refuse the game. Call us. We will send a new game.
Step 2. If you cannot see damage, SIGN FOR THE GAME AND KEEP THE PAPERWORK AWAY FROM HE DRIVER. Immediately unwrap the game. DO NOT TELL THE DRVER WHAT YOUR ABOUT TO DO OR ASK THE DRIVER HIS PERMISSION TO UNWRAP THE GAME. Asking the drivers permission or telegraphing to him what you’re going to be doing only presents problems. Drivers are usually in a hurry.  The game is legally your property once you sign for it. Sign, have a box cutter or scissor. Unwrap it. If you find damage, write it on the paperwork.
Step 3. Once you unwrap it you legally have to keep it. I will still send out a replacement and remove the old game when I deliver the new game.
Step 4. If you do not list shipping damage on the paperwork the shipping company will not pay out on a damage claim. You just signed a legally binding agreement that reads "This game has no cosmetic shipping damage". Once that happens no damage claims wil be paid. Im trying to prevent that.

We are not fiscally responsible for replacing a damaged game if these procedures are not followed exactly. If the driver refuses to cooperate we will NOT hold you responsible. If there is any damage and you do not make an exception on the paperwork we cannot file a claim for damage with the shipping company. Please understand that we won't be in business very long if we have to send out free replacements with no compensation. WE NEED YOUR HELP. Call if you have any questions. 888 378 9416.

Expedited shipping services are available,  Expedited service ensures that you will receive the absolute fastest processing time and shipping time available. You will also be processed ahead of all other orders. This does not apply to air freight, only LTL trucked freight. If you are local and would like to pick up the game there is no charge.

You are responsible for coordinating the delivery of the game to your home, or picking up the game from the local nearest terminal. Any order that has to be shipped back to our warehouse because of a customers refusal to coordinate delivery is subject to a 25% restocking fee as well as the return shipping costs. 

Guaranteed set delivery dates are available.    If this level of service is requested and paid for we would be responsible for shipping the game on the dates requested. We can not be held responsible for delays due to weather, mechanical breakdowns, or any other reason unrelated to the game being shipped from the warehouse on the date requested. Any game delayed in transit, refused at delivery and shipped back cross country to us will be charged round trip shipping.  This is very rare and has only happened a few times. (Hurricane Sandy was one notable event that delayed many orders to the East Coast.

Tax Information

Sales tax is not separately calculated and collected in connection with items ordered from ProArcades through the Site unless explicitly indicated as such in the ordering process. Items ordered from ProArcades may be subject to tax in certain states, based on the state to which the order is shipped. If an item is subject to sales tax, in accordance with state tax laws, the tax is generally calculated on the total selling price of each individual item, including shipping and handling charges, gift-wrap charges and other service charges, less any applicable discounts. If tax is separately calculated and collected in connection with items ordered from ProArcades through the Site, the tax amounts that appear during the ordering process are estimated - the actual taxes that will be charged to your credit card will be calculated at the time your order is processed and will appear in your order confirmation notification.

How does the 3 year warranty work?

A three year warranty comes standard with all arcade purchases. A five year extended warranty is able to be purchased after checkout.  This is a full warranty that covers the cost of replacing any mechanical components for the warranty period. It also includes any necessary postage. This does not cover damage caused by the user. (abuse, spilled drinks, etc) In addition, we sell upgrade and replacement parts for the lifetime of your product. Replacement parts are sold at cost. 

We designed our games to be very simple to work on. There is nothing that cannot be replaced in under 10 minutes using a pliers and a screw driver. This was an important design element because it would be cost prohibitive to fly technicians around the country or to ship games back and forth across the country. All repairs are simple and can be completed with zero technical knowledge. If you have an issue with your game you must agree to work with us to repair the unit. By purchasing one of our games and you acknowledge this agreement. We will also require you to verify in writing that you have read and understand this requirement. In the event you are experiencing any issues with your game and would like to speak with a live technician, please call 888-231-4591 and someone will assist you with your problem within 1 hour from 9am-6pm PST Monday through Saturday. . During this call one of our techs will ask you a few questions. Based on the answers to those questions we will send out, free of charge, any necessary replacement parts. We will then coach you how to swap those parts out. If anything needs to be mailed back to us we will cover those postage costs. We will never ask you to do anything that would harm the machine or void the warranty. We will also never require you to do anything dangerous or overly technical. In addition we have a nice series of videos showing you how to make changes and repairs to your machine.

What is a vertical game? What is a horizontal game?

With most companies when you look at their inventory you will see that they sell cabinets that play either vertical or horizontal games, but what does that mean? In the realm of arcade games there are two different types. There are games that go up and down, where the action on the screen moves from the bottom of the screen to the top of the screen. Frogger is a good example of this. These games that go up and down are called VERTICAL games. To play vertical games we install a computer monitor into our cabinets sideways. Ms Pacman is another good example of a vertical game. We have two game boards available that are all vertical games. The boards are the 60 game board and the 410 game board. ALL of the titles on these boards are always all vertical. You will not see vertical and horizontal games mixed on classic gaming boards.

The other type of arcade game available is one where the action on the screen goes from left to right. Super Mario Brothers and Defender are good examples of this. Side to side games are called HORIZONTAL games. To play side to side games we take a computer monitor and we install it in landscape mode, the same way it would be viewed on your desktop. We have one horizontal classic game board available, the 136 game board. ALL of the titles on this board are horizontal games. There are no vertical games on this board.

Our cocktail arcade and our classic upright can be modified to play both types of boards on the same cabinet. With most companies you would have to buy two separate cabinets. To accomplish this you need to physically rotate your monitor. If you look at the listing showing the cocktail arcade you will see a link to a video that shows you how to do this. It is very simple and takes under 5 minutes. Here is a link to the video.

I don’t see my favorite game listed. Can I add games to the game boards? Can I pick and choose what games I want?
The game boards we buy come with a predetermined list of games. Unfortunately we cannot add specific games. If you are curious to see if we have a specific game please open the game list and press Control-F to find your title. Or you can call we can assist you with this search. We have done our very best to acquire the most varied game lists available.

Can I get a trackball or a gun on your games?
The short answer is yes, and no. Centipede and Millipede work quite well with a just a joystick. That being said if you want the traditional feel of these original games you may want to consider a trackball. We do not offer a trackball on our standard cocktail arcade. (it doesn’t fit) We DO offer two trackballs (one on each side) on our NEW deluxe cocktail arcade. We also offer a trackball on our classic upright cabinet and our deluxe 24" classic cabinet. .

We do not offer a trackball on our Tornado Arcade Cabinet or our Noir Arcade Cabinet. Please note that we do not make the software, and the software boards we purchase do not have a trackball port, even if we wanted to install a trackball there is nowhere for it to plug in unfortunately. I have tried to get the software company to address this issue and it is a work in progress. Also none of the boards we sell have a gun port so we cannot plug a gun.

What games can your machines play?
Our Deluxe Cocktail, Regular Cocktail, Deluxe 24" upright and Classic Upright Arcade Cabinets can play our 60 game board, our 410 game board, and /or the 136 game board.

Our 24” Tornado Arcade and 32” Noir Cabinet can play our 512 game board and/or our 2019 game board. The 2019 is the only board to contain both vertical classic games and horizontal modern games. You do not need to rotate the monitor for the 2019 board, it can play both vertical and horizontal games. It is the only board we have ever found that can accomplish this. What happens if my game stops working?
First let me say that this is very rare. The games are rigorously and thoroughly tested prior to shipping. Each employee is required to sign their name to the game to ensure that it has been properly assembled and has zero issues. We expect perfection from our warehouse employees and the reward for them is that we pay them 150% of California’s minimum wage for a starting pay with bonus incentives. Please note that if a part is going to fail it almost always does so at the initial start up. Your game has been on and running for several hours during its testing phase. If it didn’t break then it probably isn’t going to.

In the event that something malfunctions on your cabinet please call my tech support team. Each tech support staff member is given a company paid cell phone so that they will always be available. They will ask you a few simple questions to find out what the issue is. If a new part is needed, we will ship it immediately and walk you through the installation either on the phone or through a youtube video. Please note, these games are very simple inside and would only require a screw driver and a pliers to work on. In 10+ years we have never run into an issue where someone could not repair their own machine as long as they are willing to try. Occasionally I have people who refuse to even open the coin door and press the red button needed to enter the setup mode. If you are completely unwilling to do even basic things needed to get your game working properly we cannot be held responsible . You need to meet us halfway. (I have only run into this a handful of times, but some people can be very unreasonable) We can’t ship a new $1500 game cross country for something simple that you could do yourself like replacing the light bulb. I promise we will never ask you do to anything advanced or complicated, however part of this purchase agreement is that need to at least try to work with us.

Is this cabinet JAMMA Compatible?
Our cabinet is wired with a standard universal JAMMA connector which makes it compatible with the majority of arcade JAMMA circuit boards available today. Our cabinets can also be modified to play BOTH vertical (60 and 410) and horizontal (136) on the same machine by manually rotating the Monitor. Or we have a 512 horizontal board,  and a 2019 board that plays vertical and horizontal games all from a horizontal configuration.  (the monitor is in landscape mode)  New for 2016 we now offer a 1033 board that plays vertical and horizontal games by flipping the screen internally! This is only available on our Ultimate Cocktail Arcade. 

Can this game be set to coin operating mode or free play?
Yes, both options are available, with the user friendly setup interface switching between modes is simple and quick to do. Our new electronic coin mechanism allows up to $1 per play and accepts anything from quarters, tokens to Canadian currency. Great for bar / pub / bistro / cafe owners, or even entertaining guests at home! For any changes to our machine, feel free to call tech support and they will gladly walk you through your adjustments.

Left Handed Cabinet ?
Occasionally I will get asked if we can make a righty vs lefty cabinet. Please note that there is not such thing as a righty vs lefty. If you look at a Nintendo paddle or a Playstation paddle, the joystick movement is always on the left and the buttons are always on the right. If you learn to play any other way you can never go into an arcade and play because you have learned wrong. It’s like learning to play a guitar upside down. We strongly recommend you learn to play the correct way, and our cabinets always and only come with the action on the left and buttons on the right.

What is the size of the monitor?
The monitors included in our standard cocktail and classic upright cabinets are 19' LED monitors. (19” is the same size as the original games from the 1980’s) You may think 19” sounds small but when you are standing 9 inches from it you will see that it is in fact quite large. On our Tornado we use a brand new 24” LED HDTV 1080i. On our Noir cabinet and our Viewlix we use a 32” LED  HDTV 1080i.

Many of our competitors claim to provide “authentic arcade monitors”. Please understand that “authentic arcade monitor” is a euphemism for “a surplus soviet era 150 pound cathode ray tube (CRT) monitor that was built in the 1980’s”. In addition to being very heavy and old they are completely unable to be serviced. If they break they are difficult to replace and hard to find. And the image is NOT better. Think about it? How could it be. When is an 80’s CRT picture better than a modern LED TV? If your concerned about being original, please ask for or watch one of our videos that shows the game in play. You cannot tell the difference in any negative way between LCD and CRT. The real difference happens when that 25 year old CRT burns out. LCD and LED monitors are all we use, which provide crisp game play and graphics identical to the original, only better!

How many people can play on the cocktail arcade?
There are single control panels built into each side of the cocktail arcade, providing exciting head to head game play. On 2 player mode the screen automatically orients itself around for the 2nd player side. Please note, the screen does not flip in a horizontal set up cabinet. (The Ultimate cocktail arcade will Flip)

How long does shipping take?
Our arcades are built and ready to ship. When an order is received we add any upgrades/decals and the game enters a final testing process where we check the buttons, joysticks, power supply, monitor, etc. If your order is placed before noon Pacific time, we can almost always ship the same day. Anything after will ship next day. Transit times from coast to coast are estimated at 5-10 days, often times sooner. Please note that during the holidays these times may be delayed by a few days. If you have questions about shipping please ask.

How long is the warranty?
The warranty starts on the day you receive the unit, and is good for 3 years at no additional charge. FREE lifetime tech support via telephone. A 5 year extended warranty is available upon checkout. All machines are built and turned on for several days to make sure there are no mechanical issues. If something was to malfunction, it usually happens right after installation. These games are commercial grade and are designed to last for years with lots of use.

How are the machines delivered?
All shipments are shipped via freight carrier. When the shipment arrives at your local terminal (you can track your shipment with the tracking number provided when your shipment is picked up) the terminal dispatch will call the name and number you provided at time of sale to set up a time for delivery at your convenience. Please note that all freight deliveries are curbside. They do not bring the game into the house, they do not unwrap it, and they will not navigate it up any stairs. We can arrange for these services but they will cost more. Please note that your new arcade game is fully insured during transit. You are required to arrange for delivery with your shipping company. If you have specific needs you must tell us about them prior to shipping so we can determine if they will cost more money or not. If you require the shipping company to come at a specific time during the day there can be additional charges. We are not responsible for extra charges that are tallied as the result of your unique requests. If you refuse to accept your game for any reason you cannot say “I don’t want it just take it back”. Someone has to pay for all that shipping, and the fair thing is that it would be you who pays for it. (unless there is a valid reason for not being able to accept it).

What happens if the shipment was damaged during transit?
All shipments that leave our dock are in 100% perfect working order and fully packed on pallets for freight shipping. 95% of shipments arrive in pristine condition however occasionally there is cosmetic damage. Please note that this ONLY applies to cosmetic damage, not mechanical issues. If the game shows up and it has obvious damage please do not sign for it.  If you sign for it you are accepting it in its present condition. You cannot file a claim after you sign for damaged freight.  If the game appears to have no physical damage go ahead and sign for it and  immediately  unwrap the game in the presence of the driver. You do not need to ask the drivers permission, because you have signed for the game you can do whatever you want with it. Please have a scissors and a razor ready to go to remove the cardboard, straps, and shrink wrap. If there is any damage you must note it on the Bill of Lading. We will then arrange for the shipping company to take away the damaged game and I will immediately ship a new game. We are not fiscally responsible for replacing a damaged game if these procedures are not followed exactly. If there is any damage and you do not note it  on the paperwork you cannot file a claim for damage with the shipping company. Call me if you have any questions. 888 378 9416.

Are the arcade games plug and play?
Yes, the games are plug and play. For online orders or phone orders we will discuss the options available to you and then set the game with these options. Once you receive your new arcade, you simply plug it in and enjoy! All arcades come with an instruction manual, but more importantly they come tech support. (888)231-4591 We want to make sure your happy with your purchase. Tech support is available from 9am-6pm PST Monday through Saturday.

Do your games save high scores?
Yes, the 60 game board saves high scores when the machine is turned off. All of the other more advanced game boards do not. The extra memory on the advanced boards is used for more games instead of high scores.

Are the graphics and sound identical to the original?
Yes, absolutely.

Should I leave my game on and running 24/7?
No. Please turn the game off when it is not in use.

Should I plug my game into a surge protector?
Yes.   Its always a good idea to plug any electronic device into a surge protector.  If you don't know what a surge protector is please google it or call us.
