Sales tax is not separately calculated and collected in connection with items ordered from Baker's Edge through the Amazon.com Site unless explicitly indicated as such in the ordering process. If an item is subject to sales tax, in accordance with state tax laws, the tax is generally calculated on the total selling price of each individual item, including shipping and handling charges, gift-wrap charges and other service charges, less any applicable discounts. Q. What are the pan's dimensions?
A. Exterior measure is 9" x 13". The pan holds 11 cups (for reference a typical 9" x 13" holds 12 cups, and a typical 9" x 9" holds 10 cups)
Q. If I use an Edge Brownie Pan, will I need to adjust my recipe quantity?
A. Generally no. The Edge Brownie Pan is sized to fit most standard recipes and box mixes.
Q. If I use an Edge Brownie Pan, will I need to adjust my cooking times?
A. The Edge Brownie Pan will bake items evenly, and for some recipes in noticeably less time. We recommend checking your recipe a few minutes earlier for items that typically take 45 minutes or more to bake.
Q. How do you recommend baking a lasagna in the Edge Brownie Pan?
A. We always recommend using the no-boil noodle method. Uncooked noodles are the perfect width to fit between the pan walls. See our insert recipe for tips and cooking times. Most lasagna recipes work great with a no-boil method.
Q. I lost my instruction/recipe insert, can I get another?
A. Sure you can. In fact, you can get it at www.bakersedge.com
Q. What's with the Banana Bread recipe in the insert?
A. Yes...we found the mistake too. The ingredients should list 1 tsp. of Baking Soda. Note in "Step 2" it mentions adding the Baking Soda, but the ingredients list does not show it. Seems to have been deleted in our final editing. Our apologies.
Q. Where can I buy an Edge Brownie Pan near my location?
A. Check our website for local stores that carry the Edge Brownie Pan. As new retailers come on board we add them to our list. If you really want to see it in your locale, ask your favorite kitchenware store to stock it (it really does help)!
Q. I don't like the edges of baked goods / I like the centers best, so why would I even consider the Edge Brownie Pan?
A. Forget what you know about baked good edges. Typical edges from conventional bakeware are over-baked and dried out (a result of waiting for the center to finish baking). With the Edge Brownie Pan, every serving will bake more evenly. That being said, if you just hate chewy edges, you can reduce your baking time and have a pan full of what would typically be "center" servings. Of course, edges aside, if you bake lasagna, casseroles, or pot pies, you will find the Baker's Edge is a great tool.
