COOKIE PRESS GUN KIT

Q: Why the cookie gun could stop working after pressing the trigger?
A: Probably, the dough could not be the one indicated for the right working with the cookie press gun machines. Please, read the instructions below about some Helpful Tips for the cookie press and the right Recipe for the Dough:

HELPFUL TIPS

- For a cookie press to work properly, the dough must be the right consistency, not too stiff and not too soft. Before inserting it into the cookie press, allow your dough to come to room temperature

- If the dough is too soft and sticky, try to put it in the refrigerator for 10 minutes or add flour 1 tablespoon at a time until the dough is firmer and more workable.

- If the dough is still too stiff after you have let it come to room temperature, try adding butter or milk 1 tablespoon at a time until the dough softens. Be careful not to add too much extra butter, however, as this may cause your cookies to spread while baking or to not properly stick to the cookie sheet when you are using the cookie press.

- Don’t grease your baking sheets, always use ungreased baking sheets when using a cookie press (consider putting it in the refrigerator for 10 minutes before pressing the cookies). Don't use paper on the baking sheets, you will need the dough to stick to the baking sheet.

- You might need to click the cookie press more than once to get the dough to release.

- Bake just until beginning to turn golden around the edges.

- Only use recipes specifically designed for a cookie press, and don't add sprinkles, chocolate chips or other additions to the dough as this could cause the cookie press to jam.
