Wow. I've never owned any Red Wings before. I've always purchased the $40 steel toes at the regular outlet. Honestly, I should have made the switch LONG ago. You are going to spend 1040 hours in these boots if you work a 40 hour week for 6 mos. (who only works 40 hours anymore?) These boots will cost you $0.10 an hour ($0.05/hr more than the regular outlet boots) if they only last 6 mos. Mine are 3 mos. old and still look new, so I'm sure they will last me over a year. Why not be comfortable?

These are the best. I was worried about the zipper before they came in, but it is quite solid, and the leather doesn't seem to scuff as easily as the boots I've purchased in the past. The soles are nice and soft. Traction seems good on a slippery shop floor, and if I drop something on my toes, I get to keep them. I'm a happy customer.

Wore them for about a 1yr and 2 months. Bought additional support 3 week in. which made it descent till the boot it self broke down. Seems popped and eyelets broke, and the back of the ankle support tore away from the boot.

I thought the boots were high quality, but after a few days use the stitching by the sole started to thread. I am returning them. Hopefully, this was a one-off defect because I liked the boots. I will try again.

This is my second pair of these boots and I still love them. I have tried several other types and brands and I feel nothing compares to these. I work in the oilfield and my first pair took care of me through the winter of Wyoming and the heat of Louisiana. Normally I am very hard on shoes, especially work boots but these have made it just fine. I would recommend purchasing either glue on toe guards or toe tar.

I purchased these boots on Amazon and saved about $50 over the brick and mortar store. Very comfortable, good traction and the side zipper is very convenient. Zipper will probably create a weak spot in the boot with lots of use, but I will not use them in my occupation. I will wear them mainly on week ends.

I have been wearing these for over a month now, and I am still very happy with the comfort and durability I get from wering these shoes. Worth every penny, nickel, and dimed.

The boots are 99% perfect, except for the zipper on the side. During wear and tear, zippers will get damaged and wear out. Plus, The zipper is not insulated, and you can feel the cold a little.
